So does the beauty cover serve any purpose and can (or should) it be tossed?
The Subaru X-mode really does work (personal testimony) - when you live where get icy roads, especially hilly icy roads, it's worth having that for sure

Scotty used my car for this review. Imagine my surprise when he didn't bash the cvt. I went in fully expecting a harsher review. I just wanted a cool time capsule for myself and thought it might help other shoppers. I'm still only a month in, but have zero doubt that I made the right purchase. Thanks for creating a cool memory, Scotty.
So cool ! Awesome ride !
Get an oil change at 2500 or ask Scotty about that. Super important for long term engine care. Great looking car !
@@mikegreenberg960 have scheduled next Saturday. Will probably be 1200 miles
I'm on my 8th Subaru, a 2024 Outback Onyx XT. I love Subaru's AWD system among other things. I have been curious about this Forester Wilderness. Thank you for taking it to Scotty, I appreciate seeing it on his channel.
In what sense is it a time capsule? Is it somehow unique? Are they only making them this way for a limited time?
I've been driving Subaru's for 24 years now. Took one for a test drive back in 2000 and that was that. An as someone that lives in an area where the nearest auto shop where you could get a flat fixed outside of normal business hours may be 100+ miles away I appreciate a full size spare.
I have a 2021 Subaru Outback, my first Subaru. I've owned many different makes and models the last 45 years. I would not trade this Subaru for anything else on the market. This car is simply amazing, I get great fuel economy, I can go places that jeeps can't and I have a lot of space for hauling. Not to mention, Subaru has the highest safety rating. Yeah, gotta love the Subarus.
I'm on my third Subaru, a 2024 Outback Limited that I bought for my wife. All the benefits of a Subaru and now with a lot of high-end appointments that make it feel more like a luxury car. Also,, in line with what Scotty says, the new CVT is worlds better than the one in my 2012 Outback. Doesn't feel like a CVT at all and great acceleration from the 182 HP normally aspirate boxer engine.
We have a Subaru Forester (better all around visibility than the Outback) - the most favorite car that have owned (well, the spouse drives it mostly). The 2nd fav is a Toyota 4Runner - that one was mine to drive, had 5 spd manual, hi-lo 4wd, steel skid plates underneath, very solid vehicle.
The Subarus are just a million times superior to EV nonesense
have owned 3 subaru vehicles. as I bought each quality went down. last one cost me over three years in repairs as the original purchase price. all Subaru would say is "it should not have done that". at 3500 mile first oil change for example told me the 3 headlights were out, needed breaks and would need tires within 3000 miles again this was with only 3500 miles on it. went down hill from there...
I heard Subaru got them cheap from Nissan, it's a jeep liberty transmission.
@@lawrencebeck1144 does Subaru make tires?
Glad you well Scotty! There was a post saying RIP with your pic in a monochrome filter ffs!
Subarus are great in the snow ❄️.
Way better even when roads are just wet
I have a 2021 Impreza. It’s the best snow vehicle I’ve ever driven.
Why does Scotty have headlines that have nothing to do with whatever he talks about in the video?

That last question actually helped alot, was concerned why an envelope from Canada wasn’t arriving for a month, when my box to Canada took a week, from Houston
I just purchased a 2024 Forester Pemium in early December 2023. I really like the Forester. Quiet...very smooth ride....and great outward visibility due to the large windows. Looked at a Rav4.....but I got many more options at a lesser price than the Rav4. Awesome vehicle.
so Why Toyota is Buying Out Subaru? You made no mention of it.

Yeah that’s kind of why I stopped watching his videos. Rule number one: don’t lie about what your video is about…!
Toyota already owns 20% of Subaru
I love you Scotty! When i got my first car you really helped me out with your videos
I had a 1999 Outback wagon and it was hands down the best car I ever owned. Drove it for 9 years and sold it for 2K over KBB because it was in mint condition. Never had a single problem with it. Regret selling it to this day. Handled great and that AWD is the only way to go even if you're not in snow country because it is so stable on wet roads.
I still own and drive a 1998 Suburu Outback!
I had a 1999 Outback for 17 years, 300,000 Kilometers in Australia. It was great. I bought a VW Diesel Passat to replace it. What a load of junk that was. I have two Outbacks and they are both extremely reliable. 83,000kms in the 2019 one and no mechanical failures, 140,000 in the 2010 one and I can't remember any issues with it.
one problem with soobs is the lack of ground clearance .. more 12-14 inches and it can be difficult ..
I'm 72 years old and never had a complaint about the USPS.
Consider this...
USPS: delivers an average of 421 million mail pieces each day
FedEx: delivers approximately 16 million pieces each day
UPS: delivers 20 million pieces a day
How lucky for you. I follow the tracking for my packages and at least 4 or 5 times a year there are issues and delays. Even today, I was supposed to receive a package. Yesterday it stayed it was at the postal facility in Carolina, Puerto Rico. That was the latest update, but it states it would be delivered by 9 PM today. I live in Western NC, so I don't see that happening as the local PO already delivered for the day and best I can tell from tracking it, the package is some 1,000 miles away!
@@galvdude549 Anyone claiming they have never seen USPS issues has no idea what rural life and PO Box and a real Post Office is. It is a nightmare getting anything delivered from any parcel service, I can't tell you how many thousands of times I have argued that YES MY ADDRESS DOES EXIST when I am told it doesn't by the pompous twit on the line. And it is getting progressively worse over the last 5 years, what used to take a weeks now takes several
@@galvdude549 I live in rural Eastern Oregon. Our mail is processed in Portland, about 200 miles away. So, if I send a package to Boise, ID, it gets on a truck westbound 200 miles to Portland, gets processed there, then travel 450 miles east to Boise. Much more efficient than when our mail was processed in Pendleton, OR (210 miles from Boise), right? Sometimes getting packages feels like they're on a slow boat to China using USPS unless you use their express shipping.
I live 9 miles out of closest town. If I have a pkg to be delivered on Saturday, I won’t get it. It sits at the PO until Monday or even Tuesday. The Saturday DEI hire of my USPS carrier, will not drive down my driveway. She says her sub compact car will only hold about one-tenth of the packages to be delivered out here. Most people that live out here have their pkgs delivered to their work in town if at all possible. Me, I’m retired and I order a lot. I’ve call the USPS in DC and they can’t do anything to make it any better.
quit ragging on the post office (which is not supported by taxes) .. now i can send a flat rate medium box from rural northern california to new york city for $14 .. mail it monday morning and it consistently arrives wednesday afternoon ... with no weight limits !! congress needs to get off their back ...

oh he’s dying alright. dying to tell us why Toyota is buying out Subaru
We've got a 2018 with 20K. The car is great on the highway and we get around 32 to 35. In town, it gets 25 to 27. All on regular gas. Been a great car. Easy to get out of for us old folks.
I got a new 2023 Crosstrek last April hasn't let me down yet!
you’re awesome scotty! been watching you for years ❤
I have a 2023 Outback and its a great car my adult children were impressed by how well it handled the subzero and snow we had recently.
My son bought an outback with the same engine CVT set up .. very good.
Really like my 22 Forester. Love the drivng position, great visibilty with large windows.
Large windows with good visibility are always a plus.
literally the biggest reason i hate rav4s is bad visibility plus the ugly Af multimedia positioning.. Foresters are much more spacious too.
That's one of the reasons I got the 2023 Forester. I'll take large Windows over something that's sporty looking any day.
Been a huge fan for years! Would love to hear your explanation of why boxer engines specifically loose reliability after being turbo’s mechanically compared to another engines
Scotty, I thank God for you!! There is NO ONE in the auto industry like you! You are indispensable in today's complicated care-world!! God bless, Sir!!
Great video keep up the great work
You get better handling with a boxer engine because the center of gravity is lower. It's a flat engine that can be mounted lower, which can help with handling.
In theory its true, but Subarus are traditionally known to have a lot of understeer that's hard to get rid if anyone wanted to do any more performance driving
I recently purchased a 2023 Forester wilderness edition. Overall, I really like the car but the best I can say for the mush box transmission is that for a CVT it does not suck. Also, in my city driving I get about 18mpg. The best I got on a long x country is about 26. It does have 9.2" of ground clearance and handles well off road to the limited extent I have used it. It is pleasant to drive on long trips, has a good quality of road feel and handling.
We rented a ‘23 Forester Wilderness for a week in New England last year, our first real experience with the (any) CVT and NA 2.5. Was really impressed with the powertrain, ride, EyeSight, comfort and handling - mostly- kind of tippy at the limit. Based upon that we bought a ‘24 Impreza RS, noticeably better as far as overall performance and we get 26/36 mpg. We’ll do snow driving but never off road.
Have a base model 2017 Forester 2.5i CVT, 110,000 plus miles. Love it.
At what mileage did you change the CVT fluid?
Tell us what you love about a boring box?😊
Have you had to replace the transmission?
Be nice if they came back out with a little runabout pick-up truck again !!

I've been a fairly happy Subaru owner since 2003. Between my wife and me and our two daughters we've owned or own 6 Subaru vehicles (mostly Foresters) and will most likely continue to own Subaru vehicles in the future. They're also one of the few reasonably priced manufacturers that rate as high as the luxury brands from Consumer Reports. The only Subaru we weren't happy with was a 2008 Outback that gave us a lot of problems. It was one of the (if not the) first year they were built in the US as opposed to Japan.
Regardless of brand never buy a vehicle from a new factory line, seems like its always asking for trouble. Families first subaru was an '89 wagon thing with air shocks to lift it back when hauling a heavy load, such a cool thing to see as a kid. Currently Drive a 2010 forester which we'd upgrade from but it just wont die or have any problems.
I have a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness and it’s great!
Scotty is one of those grandfather we never had kind of youtubers. Like wranglerstar or hitcock45. A true legend, and an inspiration to a generation that lacks that grandpa wisdom. It was hard for me to do as a lifetime Toyota guy, but, i had to pass on the Rav4 and opted for the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. Its just flat out a better car. And the Toyota awd on them is some type of a freak show. Already, shockingly been marching right past RAV4s stuck. So i went with the king of awd.
My 1st Subaru here too.
I've had mine since early October. Daily driver and made several off road videos on it as well. Its actually a dream off paved roads and thus far, actually exceeding my expectations.
For me, it was a great decision.
Again, bitter sweet as im a Toyota guy. But wise spent money is always a good thing. And I saved a ton buying this as well.
My friend has a 2017 Rav 4. She wanted to purchase a vehicle for her lifestyle. Here in Minnesota, I have to say, it's great!
I have a 2014 ram 1500, but was looking for a smaller vehicle for when I had to head in to Boston and park in garages and that kind of stuff. I had been looking at an outback, because it would be good for my three smaller dogs as well. I made the mistake of sitting in the Crosstrek wilderness and I have to say, I really liked it and considered buying it.
Best choice by far!
Yeah the Subaru CVT is great. I have 2014 Forester XT (turbo) with 182k miles. No problem with the CVT yet.
I have a Crosstrek since 2017 (since new).....all terrain tires, perfect car 👍
Have a 2007 Legacy GT with 130k miles. No real issues other than maintenance. Never been to a repair place or the dealer other than warranty work. Holding up well.
I bought my fourth generation 2012 Subaru Outback with the 3.6R six cylinder engine and the Jatco 5 speed automatic transmission brand new and currently have 110k miles on it.
When I downshift with the paddle shifters, it might take half a second to downshift. It can be slow.
On a trip involving air travel, at my destination, I rented a fifth generation Outback with the CVT.
As an enthusiast, I was amazed to find the CVT far more responsive than the Jatco AT in my car.
The fifth generation mimicked a six speed automatic. Both upshifts and downshifts were immediately positive and direct. They mimicked quick AT upshifts and downshifts exactly.
With six faux speeds, I used the paddle shifters constantly to downshift on New Hampshire’s up and down hills. The downshifts were immediate and positive in the way I described above. With six speeds instead of five, finding the right gear for the right amount of engine braking was much preferable to my car.
Driving uphill, stepping down on the accelerator resulted in immediate downshifts. Step down a little harder and the CVT would promptly drop another gear. The AT in my car is not as quick to downshift as the CVT was.
In short, the CVT was better at being a responsive AT than the actual AT in my own car.
The CVT was so good, I am not sure why people continue to bad mouth them. In a blind test, most people would likely assume it is an AT.
Were I to purchase a new Outback, and as someone who loves to use the paddles, I would have no qualms about it having a CVT.
Those transmissions have reliability issues.
Not just subaru, but all car makes.
My 2016 outback with cvr transmission (or whatever) has been ok.
Problem is the fluid is supposed to be life long.
It's not. They say that just to score higher on mts.
Same car sold in Japan or Canada recommends changing trans fluid every x kms.
So it needs changed, but they don't have convenient way to change it.
They don't say how to, or how much of what kind of fluid to use.
Other complaint is they say we have to replace all 4 tired whenever 1 goes bad!!
Other than that, it's been a great car.
Would definitely buy again.
My 2014 Impreza has never let me down! Just saving up to buy a cross trek which in my opinion is the best bang for your buck out there.
Crosstrek Limited and it’s been in the rugged mountains, middle of nowhere deserts, urban city driving, etc and it just does it all. Crosstrek is a fantastic value!
@@Deetroiter i have a 2022 with the 6 speed manual and i really like it. i dont think they should have ended the manual option. it has 22K on it and i would like to keep it for a very long time. i do 4k mile oil changes and annual fluid film treatments. the car is comfortable, gets 30 MPG, and has room enough for 2 adults, 2 children and groceries. it performs exceptionally well in the snow and ice. i dont see any reason i would need a more expensive vehicle.
@@andrewdonohue1853 very true! I shopped around and just before I was about to buy a different vehicle, I suddenly remember Subaru existed. I wanted to go check them out before buying the other vehicle. I ended up taking home the Crosstrek that day instead. No other vehicle I looked at had the rear passenger space like the Crosstrek does. It doesn’t feel squashed or a compromise. I’ve sat back there myself and it practically feels full space as if someone was up front. My knees don’t even come close to touching the front seats and plenty of space to stretch out. That and all the things you stated makes it a fantastic vehicle
We had a 2013 Crosstrek. Easily the worst car I've ever owned. Couldn't pay me to drive another Subaru.
@@alibabaschultz352 i think the first couple of years had issues but they worked the bugs out, later model years have a decent record.... including a "buy" recommendation from consumer reports. what exactly was wrong with the car?
I thought the entire auto industry would be "SHOCKED" by this new Subaru.
Nice video. I appreciate your comments on the improve CVT. Do you feel the 180hp is adequate?
These can allows benefit from a bigger stabilizer bar in the rear for starters. I put a bigger one in my 2015 Forest. The best money I ever spent on mine.

We have a Forrester and love it. Now looking at the Ascent.
Also speaking of the Post Office, I sent a bill to a business in my town that I did work for, I addressed it incorrectly. It USPS 3 Months to return that envelope to me! 3 Months! The business was only 6.5 miles from my home!
I recently downsized from a 2012 Forrester to a 2021 Crosstrek Sport and there have been many improvements. The 2012 sometimes slipped, and shortly before I traded it in it developed a shimmy at around 60 mph. Three different mechanics couldn't figure out the cause. But I'm really happy with my Crosstrek.
Actually both vehicles are bought on the same (Imprezza) platform...however, the Forester has a much taller roof-line.
Still impressed with my 2018 Crosstrek.
I have to say that the USPS has always been excellent for me. Maybe I have been lucky. The worst experience for me is that some of the counter people can be rather abrupt. Mind you, I am English and was raised to be more courteous. I think sometimes they don't THINK they are being rude. Ah, well.
In my rural area the package shipping rates of USPS are much more reasonable than any other shippers.
@@frederickbooth7970 USPS has put a lot of work into upgrading, especially in package services, since their "horrible" days in the 1980s and 1990s.

@@frederickbooth7970 It's more "reasonable" because they lost $6.5 BILLION last year. And Congress heavily subsidizes them -- $50 BILLION in March 2022.

Here again, we have a but and that is with the wilderness rear end gearing it suffers poor gas mileage. Fast forward to 2025, if Subaru changes the platform dramatically, I will probably trade in and buy the outback touring. Never was a Subaru guy, but I have to say once you get one you’re not going to want to change. At 87, it took me a long time to find my home at Subaru. 😊

The RAV4 is the most shockingly undersized vehicle in its class. I am 6'5 and I fit in every single competitor to the RAV4... But I cannot sit in any RAV4 manufactured in the last 20 years. I really have no idea what Toyota was thinking in the way they configured the seating in this vehicle. Not to mention the fact that it is so expensive for what you get that I would never consider it even if it was the most comfortable vehicle in its class
Yeah I was looking at rav4 but for the similar price while having less space compared to the 4Runner, we went with the 4Runner. No regrets
You should have saved the $10k-$15K on a Forester Wilderness or an Outback Wilderness versus a 4Runner or other over priced Toyota.
Yep. I'm the guy whose car he used in this video. I was all about the Rav4....until I sat in one. I'm 6'1" and was way cramped. This Forester has waaaay more room than my 2019 Tacoma TRD sport. The cargo space is far more useful than that 5'2" tacoma bed too. The Wilderness is set up to tow 3k lbs. So if I need to haul dirty bulky loads, I just use my 5'x10' Carry one trailer. It's a handy set up.
@@motoprentice We were just in the market for a vehicle, and looked at a used RAV4 with 38,000 mi on it for $31,000... Ended up buying a brand new Mazda for less than 25k. Love it
From Buffalo, N.Y. Hey Pal THANKS for this video. We've leased the Kia Sportage the last 6 years and now my Wife is thinking of BUYING a new vehicle. Well I've been thinking of the Subaru Forester. I thought of the Crosstek but now its the Forester. Once again THANKS PAL, THANKS.
Im going watch yall your videos and like them.
We still have a US Postmaster whose stated goal is to destroy the Post Office so everyone has to pay a fortune to a private company to ship anything. Can't expect the Post Office to be anything but terrible until he's gone. If you've ever shipped, say, a box of books that's $8 through the Post Office and $40 through UPS or $55 through FedEx, you wouldn't be so hostile to the USPS.
ALL BRANDON NEEDS TO DO IS FIRE HIM RIGHT !!! MAYBE IT'S DARK BRANDON!!!! YOU KNOW THE 🤡 ADMINISRATION
@@watchinglclowns9890 Nope, the USPS Board has to act, and it's still packed with Trump appointees.
The Postmaster owns a private package delivery service that competes with the post office (surprise, surprise) and is a heavy donor to Republican politicians.
Just bought a 2018 outback for my wife with 67k on the odometer. She was surprised by the outback at how much she liked it. I've heard that they last a while. I hope this is true only time will tell. Love the videos Scotty!
I drove a 2011 Subaru Legacy Limited for a little over 7 years putting 36,000 miles on it per year. Sold it with 275,000 miles. Great car! It used some oil but other than that it was great. Absolutely no problems with the CVT.
I have a 2018 outback, no real problems. The 2018 has a newer CVT design then the 2017. Handling is very good, but seems dependent on the tire pressure more then most cars.
2015 outback 177k
Right on Scotty, great information stay safe.
Loved this review Scotty.....i have a 2023 forester sport version the CVT is just like this awesome .....plus is has the paddle shifters even though it has no real gears ...lol ......wouldnt trade my Subi for any other SUV.
5 hundred and change and you treating it that way??? I don't think so.
Break in period red line. Great idea Scotty..... Wow
drive it like you stole it during break in 😃@@jasonwilliams6005
Not a big deal
@@benjaminhale1454 yes it is....
@@jasonwilliams6005 not really amy new machine can be run at higher rpm when new the key is not holding it there for a long period of time. It's actually better to break in an engine through all its ranges.
Love watching your videos Scotty
Leasing my 2022 Forester premium. Can't complain much. Whenever I feel for more power, I just turn on the sport mode.
I wish I could have gotten the Wilderness version in Europe :(
I still love my regular 2021 Forester. Best car I could have bought.
Scotty says "break in period? What's that?"
Well, one of the main problems with Subaru - at least in Australia - is they get expensive - EXTREMELY "expensive" to repair / maintain outside of warranty. My 2006 Holden VZ is cheaper to run (yes - even on petrol !!!) and maintain than my 1992 Subaru Brumby (I traded the Brumby for the VZ in 2008). Aftermarket parts for Holdens are a dime a dozen. "Genuine' Subaru parts will have you saying at the dealership "sir, I want a car part, not a freaking space shuttle".
I just bought that exact suv. The wilderness also has lower gears than the other Subarus trims
Bought a 2024 Subaru Forester Premium last month to replace a previous Forester I had, and have been pretty happy with it. I did notice it feels like it shifts gears even though it has a CVT.
Scotty , I got the 2024 crosstrek sport and finally had it in the snow- very smooth and just like you said, transmission shift simulation is smooth especially when playing with the paddle shifters. I really enjoy your videos- very real and very eye opening! Thank you for being you brother!
¿Eres hermano de Scottye? 🙄

Yeah the Subaru CVT is great. I have 2014 Forester XT (turbo) with 182k miles. No problem with the CVT yet.
Have you ever had the transmission fluid changed? I have had my Outback’s fluid changed twice.( 120,000 miles)
Mom's 2014 2.5 had 4 cvts put in it by 75k. Subaru just bought it back for 16k. Now she has a 24 idk.
@@ericripley9739 agreed that changing the transmission fluid seems to be a critical factor, as well as not launching them. Some claim that the Subaru CVTs can outlast the engine if they’re not driven too aggressively. I would go for the MT if I trade-in for the tuner fanatic vehicle WRX which can easily put out 330+ HP with a few simple mods. The Subaru CVT is rated up to ~290 ft-lbs reliably, unlike the Honda Civic CVT only ~215 ft-lbs pushing maximum (data from Hondata). The Toyota CVT with the first gear for launching is another improvement. Do not equate the heavy duty chain driven Subaru CVT to the steel belt CVTs in the Honda and Nissan.
@@Wrang15 is it plausible that your mom had a statistical fluke defective not indicative of Subaru reliability in general?
Some have posited that Subaru engines were replaced prematurely ostensibly or debatably primarily because of improper modifications given Subarus often viewed as a tuner enthusiast choice? From another perspective, Subaru historically deemed to be an inexpensive rugged, budget vehicle that the type of (some of the) can-not-be-bothered owners who did not focus on maintenance, nor bother to even wash/vacuum them, thus perhaps drove them ragged until failed? Whereas other single-owner Subaru spotted on used market appear to have been meticulously maintained and driven docilely such as 35 mph around town or mostly highway miles?
Also the FA/FB engine is much more stout than the old EJ. There was also the oil pan RTV gasket sealant-in-the-oil clogging issue in the previous gen FA engines which has been reportedly rectified/improved (with longer oil draw tube and strainer) in the latest gen, although some still prefer to have this inspected with a probing camera that can be inserted into the oil pan.
IMPORTANT: dealer service can be ruinous to your vehicle. Dealer mechanics often (not all of course) work in horrid conditions where they are incentivized to do shoddy, rushed work. Even they must buy their own tools and if they do not have the tool on hand they urgently need, they are only paid the same hours so they have no choice to cut corners. Also Subaru boxer engines need special tools and special expertise. Never take your vehicle to the dealer! The dealer is incentivized to break your vehicle so you need more repairs- dealer makes more money even under warranty they get paid over and over again the more times you need to come back in. It’s a racket, like most things these days in our decadent society.
@@SMoore-vj7bt Not exactly sure what you mean by " launching " .Can only assume it means revving the engine, then putting it in gear?
I was looking at Toyota RAV4 and Highlander and I am a bigger guy also, I went with the Forester Wilderness also in 2022, love it, 10k-15k less than an equivalent equipped Toyota is no joke
Smart move you are going to love your Subaru !!
Actually you can get all versions of the regular '24 Rav4 (i.e., not the Rav4 Prime) except the Hybrid Limited for less than a '24 Subaru Forester Wilderness.
Bro I just saw a post said you passsed? WTH
Me too
Same lol
The Forrester is pretty peppy; he probably did pass.
Love my subaru outback
I've got an 18 outback with the cvt. 111,000 miles. So far so good. I try not to stress it out.
I have a Honda FIT with a CVT and so far I have no issues with it. It gets very good mileage.
Owners manual says keep rpm below 4k for the first 1k miles and Scotty is redlining it. 😂😂😂
yeah. that's my car he's using. They tell you that in the book so people don't just start dogging it constantly and getting it too hot for long periods. I made sure to have a solid 500 super-easy miles in to get everything seated. I'd be concerned if he kept pinning it. Briefly running it up, especially after 500 miles should be fine.
Scotty will do them right by fixing it in a few years anyways. Wish I had him in my disposal.
We have a 2022 Forester Sport. We absolutely LOVE IT!
Me too,Its a great car!
I just bought one last week super comfortable ride! Been getting compliments at work too!
Lol Post office does not deliver to my rural house. Something about a mile from a public road. So i have to drive 15 miles oneway to pick up mail. UPS, FedEx etc back in my garage lol.
Hello Scotty. I'm not sure if you're aware that the Subaru models with Wilderness badging have a lower gear ratio to help with off road performance. I would expect that to make them more snappy around town. Thanks for the video. I like these cars.
Scotty using horse laughing pictures to "mock" the way he laughs shows how honest he can be.
When we hung out briefly after he reviewed my car, I told him that every time he says "K" I always think of Joe Pesci as Leo Getz in "Lethal Weapon 2".
Good to see you were a little more gentle with the beauty cover of a brand new car 🤣🤣!
@flash21502 I noticed that too. Scotty tossed the beauty cover on the grass. Usually he just wings it onto the concrete or blacktop after calling it stupid.
He edited out the part where he threw it on the ground. I was there... :P
I bought a used Nissan Qashqai (Rogue S in the US) with 62,000 kilometers on the counter. (I live in Alberta, Canada) It now has around 94K kilometers. I recently did the recommended CVT transmission service. IT's been a great vehicle so far. I enjoy it and don't mind the CVT because it is smooth and I get surprisingly good gas consumption. On a nice day, little wind, straight road, I often times get 7L/100km which is pretty awesome.
As for miles, MPH, MPG? There a good conversion apps on the internet. 😁😉
Whoopty do for my Subaru.
Just got an insurance notification from 2021. Thanks USPS!
Can you show us this supposed "insurance notification from 2021"-along with the postmark?
@@larrysmac You don't mean jack to me. Why would I show you anything?
Oh yeah redline the engine during break-in period, good job.
Technically modern "redlines" aren't the true highest rpm an engine can reach. Most are 500 to 1000rpm below what the engine can actually handle before problems occur. And as for the break-in, it's better to not always run the same rpm, so a couple WOT runs here and there isn't as big of a deal as driving 60 mph on cruise for 2 hours. Varying revs is better.
I just traded off my Subaru Crosstrek for a Toyota Camry. 🤷♀️
I have a 2014 Subaru Outback with a CVT and paddle shifters, and I love it. I can brake by downshifting and put less wear on the brakes. I don't really need 4WD, but I do like the way it handles. In 5 years I have only had to replace tires and batteries.
I cannot comment on a RAV 4, because I have never owned one. I also drive a 2010 Toyota Yaris and it is surprisingly comfortable and handles very well.
I have no complaints about the USPS. Twelve years ago, UPS broke some stuff, but other than that I have no complaints about any delivery service.
Will Toyota buy out Subaru? I tend to doubt it.
2020 Crosstrek. LOVE IT!
I seen this weird post saying you passed on Facebook today off of a Scotty Kilmer promoted account I was sad bro I won’t even lie I’m glad you’re cool

I love my Subaru.
Love my Toyotas, but when one needed replaced the Rav and Highlander could not compare to the Outback Touring XT. You already know what I did.
