This is so great it's like watching Gordon with his daughters, teaching them his skills. I love watching this father, daughter banter. Izzy is a natural born reviewer she just needs to do her homework 😄.
I saw that and the first thing that went into my head is that 'Does this mean James May is looking at Hammond and Clarkson as his children he needs to educate?'
As soon as he saw his own smile on his daughters face, the immediate "uh oh" 🤣 He knows what he has done. It's a harsh mixture of excitement and regret! 😂😂
I love the bit where Izzy first experiences the boost, her face lights up and her beaming smile. It's like opening Pandora's box, and Hammond knew at that point what he had done and what she had experienced.
Lot of people say the prefer cars without turbo but I say nothing compares to the feeling of driving a 450hp + turbo car when the turbo kick in :) I did drive a Sierra Cosworth 450+ hp and at 2500rpm you could really feel when it started charging and away you went :) The turbo delay I think only contributes more to the fun :)
Great to see these two interact like this. My 17-year old son has always been a bit of an extreme speed fanatic - mountain bikes, drift trikes, bmx, dirt bikes, and now cars for the last 18 months. He asked if I’d go out with him the other night and I agreed if he drove sensibly! We live semi-rural and drove around some roads and gravel tracks. His knowledge of the car, how it handles the road, the lines he takes, that “I’m at one with it when we drive, I feel it. It drove me when I learnt and now I can drive it” blew my mind. His ability to drift and donut in control is something I’ve never even attempted as a 50+ year old. I’m trying to get him into rallying because he’s a natural. Huge respect for his abilities beyond mine. I totally love this video of you two.
Watching the confidence of Her presenting and making Richard genuinely laugh with Her Top Gear intro and her impression of Hammand' stutter delivery was brilliant too. Nice to see Rich's brain having almost no delays in searching for words and descriptions. Really enjoyable. :)
True fans will understand this brings tears into our eyes watching Hammond introduce hopefully in a couple of years a third wave of top gear/ grand tour with a set of new host starting Izzy … would love to see more of this …
This is actually a genius idea...someone who's not really deeply involved in the automotive world doing automotive reviews for the people who also aren't really deeply involved in the automotive world, a chance to gain knowledge and grow with Izzy.
That was kind of Top Gears whole thing, it was the biggest show in the world for a while and most viewer's were not car people, it was a really odd concept really, but it worked.
This almost brings tears to my eyes. I grew up with the show from season 1 and now also have a daughter. Their interaction is so natural and relatable! Top gear was always much more that just a show about cars and this follows that same philosophy closely. Thank you for this!
I don’t often comment on all the car videos but absolutely loved this one. It had everything. I especially liked when she said I feel like a 6 year old when she was putting the huge coat on. I think she needs her own TH-cam channel.
This is actually a brilliant program to open up the rather deep topic of car culture to those who are interested but haven't made the jump from zero to the advanced topics typically covered by the expert-oriented channels. Hopefully we can get Izzy and Richard to produce more of these!
Izzy coming from not knowing and being enthusiastic about learning, is a good way of showing the viewers who aren't regular viewers how enjoyable it can be to learn about and play with the machines the rest of us love. Her theme music is on point.
The way this episode is presented is brilliant and at the same time a beautiful and most honest recording of a father and daughter, who interact in a nice way.
Izzy's even got the phrases down perfectly "What could possibly go wrong?" / "Back to the studio!" 🤣 What a great video, the next generation of car reviewers in the making! 😃

Richard nearly died in an horrific accident, the fact he survived /is still alive and is able to share these moments with his daughter is beautiful. You can see in his eyes how much he is treasuring this experience.

@@CKConnors351 Haha yeah!.. But if she had of prolonged the pause between "There's a Rainbow" and "I'm in a Subaru" its was prime Clarkson!
I saw that and the first thing that went into my head is that 'Does this mean James May is looking at Hammond and Clarkson as his children he needs to educate?'
😂😂😂😂
Wow! She is delightful, and has that Hammand humor and charm.
Loved the expression on her face when the turbo kicked in for the first time.
New addiction unlocked 😆
He created a monster.
As soon as he saw his own smile on his daughters face, the immediate "uh oh" 🤣 He knows what he has done. It's a harsh mixture of excitement and regret! 😂😂
Oh! He realized very quickly that he had opened Pandora’s box!
The true birth of (and/or new age of a) petrol head - I love to see it! 😎
Dads been winging it for 20 yrs :) Brilliant.
Hamster was owned with that one statement 😂
Timestamp please?

I love the bit where Izzy first experiences the boost, her face lights up and her beaming smile.
It's like opening Pandora's box, and Hammond knew at that point what he had done and what she had experienced.
I knew a girl named Pandora… couldn’t say I ever got to see her box though
Shame....did she charge too much?@@coopersvvc
I also had the ability to put my life in danger without a second thought when I was 17 years old

Watching the confidence of Her presenting and making Richard genuinely laugh with Her Top Gear intro and her impression of Hammand' stutter delivery was brilliant too.
Nice to see Rich's brain having almost no delays in searching for words and descriptions. Really enjoyable.
:)
Her impersonation of her father was the best part.
The directors cut was awesome… pure comedy, she’s a natural haha
back to the studio LMAO
Few people get these moments on camera with their loved ones. This is adorable.
True fans will understand this brings tears into our eyes watching Hammond introduce hopefully in a couple of years a third wave of top gear/ grand tour with a set of new host starting Izzy … would love to see more of this …
Izzy doing the Top Gear intro is probably the most cutest and wholesome thing ever
Izzy’s eyes lighting up when the turbo spooled up was awesome. You could see the glee and fear in Hammond’s eyes when he realized she loved that 😂
"Oh god, I've created a monster!"
Richard’s concept here is brilliant. As a Father of two daughters I know exactly what he’s doing.
Just fantastic
This is actually a genius idea...someone who's not really deeply involved in the automotive world doing automotive reviews for the people who also aren't really deeply involved in the automotive world, a chance to gain knowledge and grow with Izzy.
That was kind of Top Gears whole thing, it was the biggest show in the world for a while and most viewer's were not car people, it was a really odd concept really, but it worked.
@6:21, when dad realizes he just may have created a monster and is ever so slightly concerned. 😂
Excited, proud, and slightly concerned as he realizes what he has just done.
this is the exact comment I was looking for 😂
Proud
Also pride
“uh oh, UH OH” so many thoughts through his head at that moment 😂
This is the most wholesome thing I've ever watched. I'm legit jealous of their relationship and I wish them all the best. Love this.
I think she needs her own TH-cam channel.
these two on a new top gear
Richard Hammond zipping up the coat for his daughter is the most fatherly thing I've seen. Heart-warming! "I feel like I'm six!" LOL!
This whole video is incredibly wholesome, but Hammond helping Izzy with his coat was possibly the cutest moment
14:36 "DON'T SAY THAT"
This is actually a brilliant program to open up the rather deep topic of car culture to those who are interested but haven't made the jump from zero to the advanced topics typically covered by the expert-oriented channels. Hopefully we can get Izzy and Richard to produce more of these!
Love these videos of Izzy and Richard together, bonding over all things car related. It’s so great seeing Richard’s fatherly side too 12:56
Izzy coming from not knowing and being enthusiastic about learning, is a good way of showing the viewers who aren't regular viewers how enjoyable it can be to learn about and play with the machines the rest of us love.
Her theme music is on point.
These 2 need their own show! She is the best! Father and daughter team is lovely to see on cam
This is probably why I love Richard Hammond so much. His analogies of cars are so vivid. Beautiful
13:03 this bit until 14:25 is actually really wholesome 🥰
17:37 that subtle hand on steering wheel, just like her Dads' 👌🏻 Perfection
The way this episode is presented is brilliant and at the same time a beautiful and most honest recording of a father and daughter, who interact in a nice way.
These videos are truly giving me hope that we will have a new generation of Top Gear/Grand Tour to carry the torch.
Izzy's even got the phrases down perfectly "What could possibly go wrong?" / "Back to the studio!" 🤣 What a great video, the next generation of car reviewers in the making! 😃
Honestly one of the best car review I viewed in a long time. Great job Izzy. And great job Dad.
Love this duo!
me too haha
Well dang. I wish I had seen your comment before I wrote mine. Now it is going to look like I stolen your word. Either that or you have seen other comments of mine and used it here. :P
We all love Richard, but lets be honest, it’s the Izzy show when she’s in an episode! 👌
Love your videos mate
This is the most wholesome video I've seen in such a long time! Love it!!!
Richard nearly died in an horrific accident, the fact he survived /is still alive and is able to share these moments with his daughter is beautiful. You can see in his eyes how much he is treasuring this experience.
I read his book that came out after that, with his wife talking about their daughters nearly losing their father. Really moving. I think Izzy was just about old enough to know something was wrong...
Actually he nearly died multiple times in very bad crashes. 😂
You can tell how much of a "hands off" Dad Hammond is - he trusts her and just lets her do her thing. That's beautiful to see!
5:53 honestly man what i wouldn't give to experience that moment in my life for the first time again
Was just thinking to myself "I hope I get to experience that feeling at least once in my life" complete opposite ends of the spectrum xD
Drive a Tesla Plaid car!!
@@OutlawFarmersRCnot the same at all
@@OutlawFarmersRC like xnot is saying I can imagine it's something completely different. You want the senses overloaded to some extent I'd think, the sound of the engine and turbo, the rumbling and shaking as you go higher in revs maybe even the smell.
Tesla's and electric vehicles are more similar to rollercoasters than traditional cars.
Buy a 1000cc superbike. Thats the next notch up from big Turbo
Such a beautiful video of father having so much faith in his daughter's driving that he at no point feel like his life endanger even in the wet rain. Shes such a lucky girl.
06:00 happiest moment of Richard's Life seen his daughter love the turbo
I love these clips, they're so wholesome! Loved at 6:15 when Richard has a deeper appreciation of the monster he's creating! Another brilliant clip, thanks DT crew!
His brain clearly went "oh crap, she's going to be like me and have so many crashes now"
As a girl who is so much into cars, it was so fun for me to see Izzy driving and enjoying Martin’s power and the turbo sound 🥹 She will be awesome doing reviews like her father!
I love Martin! But watching this daughter-dad relationship is just amazing. Thank You Hammonds, You made my day!!!
Izzy should become full time on drivetribe, I don't have kids but if I had a daughter this is the type of relationship I'd love to have super wholesome, well done Hammond's well done.
her eyes on the first boost. she's hooked.
Father-daughter duo. Love it. Following in Dad’s footsteps, he must be so proud.
I have a daughter EXACTLY like this, she's had the measure of me since about 8 years old and I couldn't be more proud of her. It's such fun isn't it Richard, and you only earn that privilege by being a great dad... having your kids as your best mates? .. nothing better!!!. 😍
@7:12 This really put a smile on my face. The wholesome! ITS TOO MUCH! 😂😂
I love the cheeky smirks with how pleased she is during her review. 😂 Well done!
I genuinely couldn't stop grinning during the whole of the video. Richard is obviously a class but Izzy Hamond is a young, beautiful and talented lady with a great personality. I could see how proud Richard is of her and he should be. She did well in the review. The father daughter bond is amazing. Richard you have a raised a great kid and she has a great future ahead of herself.
