@7:56 I notice you have a heavy lens mounted. You obviously wouldn't have done it if the robust FS700 mount couldn't hold it, but it does look like a bit of an engineering challenge. I would have thought some rail extensions and support would be a good idea if you'd been shooting Uri Geller on a bad day.
We are in 2018 and I am actually figuring out that ther are no camcorders with interchangeable lenses with high framerates for slowmos in this year. Why is it that camcorders are dying out?
We need a successor to the fs 700!. Sony need to focus on the slow motion more IMO as this camera really does shine but its just to expensive to purchase at the moment due to technology restrictions. I hope they make a new successor to this camera and price it slightly cheaper.
thank you for your video how long can you record in slow motion i mean if you have a 32 gb card what is the max time of the slow motion you can fit on it ??
Very nice video. Thank you for the share. One question? Can i use my Sony 28-135mm F4 Full-frame Power Zoom E-Mount NEX Camera Lens, G-series Optical SteadyShot, PZ/MZ Zoom System lens with this video cam?
Hey there can someone explain me why I can't find how to film in 240 fps on my fs700 ? I just find 200/400/800 but no way to find where is the 240. Thanks !
I am a RIT student in SoFA (School of Film and Animation), so I would like to know if you have any recommendations of lenses for Sony NEX FS700. Thank you!
I need a good lenses for filming, interview, and promotions on Facebook, but I also want to know if there is any recommendations of a recent professional video camera. Thank you.
By no means is this camera cheap. But, why would anyone spend $100,000 on a fully equipped RED Epic or a Alexa when they can get this thing for under $8,000? The picture quality is outstanding. You could easily shoot a good movie on this thing.
Hello there, have you heard of "photo SFX art" (just google it)? On their website you can watch a smart free video featuring the best way to take brilliant pictures. It made it possible for Joe to make pictures which have that wow-effect whenever you take a look at them. Hopefully it will help you also...
could someone here direct me to an insurance company that would insure a camera like this one for theft, vanadlism, lost or stolen coverage. That is important to me if I purchase one like this. Thanks.,
Hello, are you familiar with "Photo SFXart Tricks" (just google it)? On their website you can watch a smart free video featuring the best way to shoot outstanding photos. This made it possible for Daniel to make photographs that leave you with a wow-effect when you take a look at them. It might help you as well.
The rock throw at 11:22 was beyond epic! I thought the resolution after 240fps becomes poor? That looked like 1080p
It is so rare to find and watch good reviews with high quality like these one.
Thank you!
Phil's reviews are always informative, and enjoyable, to watch.
Thanks Phil.

that is a telephoto lens. I think one of them is the 100-400mm push pull. Works on canon cameras or if you have an adapter.

DSLRs and handycams sadly are cheaper.
I see you're using the Canon 70-200 f2.8 with the metabones adapter. Aren't you worried about the weight on front?
How did you do that follow focus at 11:11
@11:55 -- what camera is the guy behind Phillip using?
about how much would u say that hold set up would cost? extended lens and all?
worth the money?
very nice video you made here was wondering what a camera like yours cost
I noticed on the stone throwing shot and the hula hoop shot at the end the video was a bit jerky, is this a common occurrence?
Does the slow motion mode have autofocus for tracking moving objects/people whilst filming?
Pretty annoying that YT cuts down on resolution as the video gets older than (I don't know what the threshold is...)...
Very nice shots :D Its epic how u nail down the focus all the time :D
its a DSLR with a viewfinder and some sort of prime lens, i dont know what kind though.
Way more than a DSLR. It doesn't use a crop sensor

+Adrien Dournel Because you are filming in PAL. To get 240/480/960 fps you have to switch to NTSC mode.

It's E mount so you have huge flexibility with what you want to put on there. What look are you wanting from your lens? Jake

A very popular setup is pairing Canon zooms with a metabones. If you want more in depth advice please email me - jake@cvp.com
how does it compare to GH4
240 frames per sec, wow, this is so clear and so cool.
what was used to shoot this video?
Fantastic. Thanks for that Phillip. Great shots as always.
Brilliant review, theres no way I could afford one of these cameras - but your video definitely is one of the best reviews I've seen. Thanks...

Why on earth do you post a Philipp Bloom Video and call it "my review"?
This was when Philip did reviews for us and that's how he titled and did the description!
