Thanks, Philip Bloom. I had an opportunity to run the FS700 side-by-side with a T3i during an 83-minute "talking heads" program. The FS700 was rock-solid in performance whereas the T3i started over-heating and the hue drifted, making the color correction between "A" camera and "B" camera very interesting. One thing to note: at 12 min. 36 sec., the FS700 would buffer and write new data into the next file. There was no frame drop, but there was loss of audio at the 12 min. 35 sec mark. Gap of 1s?
for me, it's the best LCD screen position, especially when most of my shoot are a moving shot with handheld stabilizer like glidecam etc that doesn't have an external monitor attached on it. nice and informative review anyway :)
Bloom you are my hero. As always, thanks a bunch, but, 4k resolution at 12 bits out of a 3gsdi is simple impossible, there is not enough bandwidth there, sony will have to drop alot of information, image latitude gain will probably be unnoticed, you will only get big files.
Excellent review Philip!.. we're in the process of upgrading our cameras to FS700s ..and I cant wait to get my grubby little mitts on 'em! :)
I so can't wait to get this camera!!! Thanks Phillip!
Thanks, Philip Bloom.

Great stuff. Phillip, what lens are you using for the B&W shots of the fellow smoking?
Thanks. Are you post grading with Colorista?
Fantastic Test! Thank you so much! Best
good job Philip.
Rest in Peace to your old man. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I do slow motion through the camera FS700 , or through a program in the computer?
Wow great camera, but if super slow is an issue how about the FS100 with Twixtor?
can't you use an external recorder and make it broadcast approved?
Great review man! And I hope your father does stop smoking. It's such a vile habit that kills hundreds of good people every year.
WHat lens did you shoot your father smoking on?
I'm over hear spending months reviewing cameras and specs and after watching Phillip, its obvious its the filmmaker not the camera.
