@@HobbyClubhouse another thing I like more about old HGUCs is that they were ambitious. Look at the HGUC Gabthley, it can fully transform into its mobile armor mode, same with the Psycho Gundam, Hambrabi, Methuss, Messala, Gaplant, and Asshimar
Great review, since this old boy is so available it's nice to have a review like this that shows it off, along with a couple small fixes. This is one of those kits I'd get if the hobby shop got it in but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. It's really a charmer.

What I like the most is that you review both new and old kits. Your reviews, which really bring out the charms of these old HGs, actually convinced me to buy HG Z'Gok and Zaku III. I totally agree, its so refreshing to see old kits being reviewed because they have so much charm and some of the old proportions work really well for zeon suits. Keep up the great work though clubhouse!

I'm actually in the middle of doing the HGUC #009 Gouf right now:) There aren't many kits I'd NOT want to do really, so it's actually very exciting to see people liking these older and less "cool" MSes and kits
I was trying to find a vid that showed the plastic type of the yellow so that I could figure out if I could paint it black with a gundam marker, but you just happened to use a gundam marker yourself! Thanks for helping me, I now know that I can use my black gundam marker for the ankles

The Gogg and a lot of the early HGUC kits are actually reprinted quite a lot, but I notice many stores don't order that many, so maybe they get snatched up real quick. I've been waiting on the older Guncannon which maybe they don't think too many people want (and are probably right)
I hope you're able to complete the zeon seafood series at some point. tbh, I'm looking forward to see the whole hguc line here - all throrough as you normally do - and with those historical references from the kit production as well as the animation references.
I've got at least one in the works:) Man, there are so many kits I really really want to go over in reviews. I get quite excited to go through the kits myself:)
Keep your eyes out in online retailers - Bandai REALLY loves to reprint this guy. There's been like four reprints of it last year and one more at the end of this month - now, whether online retailers will order some is a bit hard to say...

There are very few reviews especially of the very early HGUC kits - and then even fewer for "uncool" ones like the Gogg :')
I always try to get the older kits when I can they are always interesting builds
They also did quite a few of the more unusual MSes like the Gogg early on which feels so different from a typical kit
exactly there are many unique MSs, mostly the amphibious ones

Got my HG Gogg. Glad you reviewed it. Great starter kit to play around with. It’s so cheap and looks different from your typical kit.
It really does look different, it adds so much variety if you have a shelf full of more common MSes

love all the zeon ms. especially the 0079 old ms
You can see all the crazy and genius innovations they made for MS designs that led to their really different looks
this is one of the design that i find too cute to be an enemy suit in the show
The amphibious MSes were all made to be strangely-shaped and very alien, but after many years, it's just made them favorites of lots of female fans
I want this mobile suit it looks awesome
This kit is just fine enough👍
Bandai's designers really wanted this to be a good kit for the time

No seam lines on the arms, sure, but after 20+ years of using the same mold the flashing on those pieces is pretty bad.

I wouldn't mind if they released a refresh of this kit with clear panic and movable monoeye. Other than that, it doesn't need much else.
Movable eyes are what I want with all Zeon suits

First HG kit I bought (along with the GM, won't recommend).
