If you link the rear end you'll probably need to run coilovers and bypass, if you run a regular shock with a regular coil, like the 4runners, you will notice a progressive loss of stiffness due to the 1k+ of constant extra body fat your X is running. Coils by themselves aren't meant to handle a lot of added constant weight where as a coilover is, the only thing a coilover lacks is the lack of sensitivity, where as a bypass helps in regulating compression and rebound throughout the stroke/travel. Probably need to cut up the wheel wells and make some new ones along with shock brackets/hoops to have an outboard setup and Frankenstein a CJD 4 link setup from a Frontier. Also probably a trussed Dana 70, rather than the titan m226 and more so for 37s. You'll just have to mess around with the yoke and propeller shaft but a drive shaft shop should figure that out easily. For shock help/setup probably ask Ben from Filthy Motorsports or the guys over at Carbon Shock Technologies since your X with the 4 link will be one of the few pioneering into that territory
There is an xterra local to me that is sas and linked on 40s. He owns the shop that I get all my work done. Probably gunna have them do it since they know how to do it

What did they use in the front wheel well to make the black (rubber) transition piece? Looks really well done.
It’s all metal welded into place. They cut out the pinch seam and welded a plate in its place

I legit posted that before you showed it hitting the slider. But I have 35s and can get a little touch now and then. Wasn't anticipating how close that back tire was gonna be to the front of the rear wheel well though😮.
You seem to be pretty easy on the throttle like me but I'm worried for your front axles with all that unsprung weight

@@conheck_offroad The wheels look awesome with that wrap. I just put new Mickeys on mine and wanted to upgrade to a bronze 18" wheel but I couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Just kept my black 16" wheels but now that I see yours, I'm regretting not just going for it. So thanks for that! Lol

How are people putting 42’s on ? Also what’s your opinion on SAS swap ? I don’t think I’m a do it on my X and just buy a 90’ ranger or Toyota and try it on that. I did just finish my titan upper and control arms for my X.
