It's been 5 years since I installed one of these on my Frontier. The aluminum units are expensive, but after weighing all the original pieces that are removed, it's essentially the same weight. So I've only gained the winch weight. I finally installed some Baja Squadron fog lights last year. Had to fabricate some brackets, but it looks great.
I have one of these (purchased in 2021) and will install in a few days. 1. I don't see how you can get your winch controller plugged into the control box and 2. I didn't see how you relocated the temperature sensor you removed.
I did the install. This video helped tremendously. The only issue I had was when clocking the winch, I was careful to barely lift the cover as described in the video but the o-ring gasket still fell out of place and I had to totally remove the winch end cover to get it installed.

Access to the winch control box is from the top of the grill near the hood latch. The temp sensor is just zip tied back out of the way.
@@heftyfabworks Thanks. So the location of the temp sensor is not critical? Can be anywhere?
@@BlackDotPatrickthat’s correct

Do you have those bumpers for 2001 year models
Not for the 1st Gen Xterra
If only you didn’t require payment to ship one these I could just send you memes
If only that was the way business worked
