I have been wanting to buy a mustang pretty bad but I always back up cause of the rear getting loose, now that I know you guys have a shop in Valdosta I may actually go thru with it. I could bring it in and have you guys make the car planted as hell.
Absolutely! Even if you're just looking to get an idea, give us a call or shoot us an email with any ideas or plans you have with the car and we can put together a package fit for you.
First, seats that fit properly will do. I don't know your customer, but hopefully he's not as tall as you are. Finally, do you consider developing a tubular front and rear subframe for the s650 car? Probably, you will add both lightness and more adjustability that way.
Very cool, love the project! Not many forced induction Mustangs on road courses, would be very interested in lap times. How's the temperature situation? Is it able to run long sessions?
No. I gotta buddy did what everyone else did.. cheap build supercharger 5.0 setup...he can only roll race with us once to 2x a hr..engine doing wayyy to much..😅 he don't even drag race it car is way to hot before we even get to the strip. This won't be you..if you build it right and don't follow these youtubes videos because they leave out the key facts..but yea you can get almost 700 rwhp out of your stock 5.0..just with the SC. 😅 take ya time do your research..don't fuck up your car..for hp!
I have a supercharged track mustang and I can confirm this car isn’t staying on the track longer than a few laps before overheating. There is a reason the 2020 GT500 has all those heat exchangers. Cmon Steeda, be better.
Just out of curiosity, what (if any) advantage is there to running a roots type blower over a centrifugal? I'd think the lighter weight of the centrifugal and more linier build of power would be more contusive for road courses.
You do get more instant torque, but as far as advantages, that's about it. This car came with that kit already installed, so no point in changing it. Heat is really the biggest enemy with a roots blower. We've got a great video on our channel talking about Roots vs Centrifugal!
@@steedaautosports Thank you for the feedback. It was basically mirroring my understanding, but was curious if there was an element I was missing. Great video, as always. Thanks again.
This was a Steeda Custom Tune. Because we had this car in house, we were able to dyno tune and make necessary revisions. If you're looking for something similar but aren't in the area, we can provide a custom tune based on the mods done to your vehicle and what you plan to use the vehicle for.
It’s not, the GT500 can actually stay on track because the Ford engineers included 7 heat exchangers. I don’t see any mention of what they did to keep this car cool while under the load it would be under on an actual track. Steeda should know better.
What if you wanted to build something like this but have not have it track dedicated, but rather a street car that can go on the track. I'm trying to avoid being a Mustang statistic, if you know what I mean. I know it's just as much skill and common sense as it is the way your car is set up.
With a supercharger, the engine is going to overheat without upgrading the radiator. They also didn't put in a Diff cooler which overheats on the stock car when push on track.
Its going to overheat with an upgraded radiator. The Roush already struggles with IATs, will be worse on track. Oil temps are going to be too high as well. Speaking from experience of having a supercharged track car.
@@dbarr8261 any style of supercharger will have heat issues when driving them hard on track. The Roush tends to have more IAT issues. They can all work, it just takes a better radiator, vented hood, big heat exchanger/intercooler, and the largest oil cooler you can fit. In most cases youll be space constrained.
Thanks for pointing this out. I love Mustangs but there isn’t a lot of road course Mustangs or supercharged road course Mustangs. This car may be fine all day on the street or even drag strip but it won’t stay out on a road course without major cooling upgrades, especially a dedicated oil cooler.
Nice work! This is awesome!
This is the plan for my 2020 PP1, I love to see the 6-Speed cars.
Another great build Chris. Glad to see more of these videos.
Monster build! Amazing stuff and great video...
Good work 🔥🔥🔥
So, what was the retail cost of this build??
My man in STRAIGHT DAD MODE!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Killer video as well!
Love the car. Love mine it's a beast out of the box. I want that Anderson hood
How much was all of that?
Nice build
have the same setup minus the kmember on my convertible and it's so much fun.
What’s going to prevent oil starvation on the hard corners ?

I love way that sounds. What’s the exhaust set up
It's the stock exhaust with a Steeda X-Pipe and racing headers.

Would probably need to upgrade the intercooler for full track days.

Is the bottom of the coil over assembly rubbing the tire?
no it's just the angle, it's by lower than the lip on the wheel.
Looks sick.
What tune was in that car, I just heard Steeda Track tune. If anyone knows anything, I’m all ears. Thanks 🙏

Curious, did this have the stock active exhaust installed?
Yes, everything after the X-pipe is the factory active exhaust.
Awesome!
Nice spoiler 🍚
for downforce buster
😊 great job
How much did all of that cost?
A small fortune I'm sure
Seems as if this 2022 Mustang GT Steeda Track car is competitive with the 2020-2022 Shelby GT500.

Torque?
400 lol
About 535ft lbs
Awesome car Ford powered forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them boties and the horns off them mopars l love it
Looks great , but rear spoiler looks hideous
It’s not for looks but it is necessary.
So is this not legal to drive on streets??
How much you spent with labor? $20K?
This is definitely more than 20K fam.

Why?
