    Installed pro-action shocks and struts and sport progressive springs with a friend yesterday on my non-PP mustang and I'm still baffled by how much better the car feels now. Body-roll is almost nonexistent where it was everywhere before (to the point of feeling somewhat nauseous while doing hard left turns at times) and the car stays flat cornering. High speed acceleration no longer feels as sketchy as it did on the horribly soft factory suspension and feels a lot more settled. No more brake dive either. I only use my car for daily driving and the car feels more than enough keyed in for normal spirited driving on the road. I'll add more later, but as of now, more doesn't even feel necessary for what I use the car for. For costing less than $1100 on a valentine day sale, feels like I got way more than I paid for. I've heard this set-up is much better than even the performance pack suspension. I believe this is how the car should have come factory. Amazing job with these.

      I just got them installed and I hate them. The car used to be able to handle bumpy back roads without feeling like I was driving through a minefield. It is so firm now it feels like it's going to lose control when it hits bumps and the ride sucks. Handles great on flat roads without imperfections, but on real roads, nah I'm going back to stock.

    I have a set of your magna ride progressive sport springs. At least I think that what I installed a couple years ago now. I love them. Car rides great and still feels glued to the street even racing around the cover leafs. At the drag strip they show weight transfer that helps the car bite into the track at the launch. This was a great investment in my part I think. The car is lowered about an inch and looks spectacular. I have no issues with speed bumps, railroad tracks or anything else in the street. Great product overall.

      If you want better ride quality, the Sport Progressive springs are the way to go, a softer initial spring rate than factory will help with those bumpy roads. • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you occasionally track the car we'd recommend the MagneRide Dual Rates as the ride will be very similar to what you have now with a PP1, but when you get into corners or out on track, there's a lot more to be had with that secondary spring rate. The MagneRide Sport springs actually have a softer initial rate for comfortable daily driving and will lower the car more if that's more of a priority with your Mustang. Hope this helps!

      Definitely the MagneRide Dual Rate Springs for a handling pack car. The initial rate is very similar to what you have with the stock springs, but you're going to get way more out of the car if you like hitting the canyon roads. The drag springs are a bit stiffer in the rear for that weight transfer (800lbs/in vs 668lbs/in), but still perfectly comfortable for every day use. For reference a PP2 Mustang has 822lbs/in springs in the rear from the factory.

    how does the dual rates do at the drag strip and street on a car with a power adder? I have a top mount hellion system and even with spacers at the front with the progressive springs. The down pipes hit on speed bumps(even taken at an angle)

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Dual Rates with that stiffer secondary rate would probably not be ideal on a drag strip. They're great for cruising on the street with the initial rate, but they were intended for cornering rather than straight line and front to rear weight transfer. Not sure how much extra weight the hellion system adds, but the progressives are going to be the lowest of all but our Ultralite springs. We've installed Dual Rate springs on many cars with superchargers and have had no issues, but we've really only seen the drag springs on cars with turbo systems, at least at our shop in GA. If you're doing any performance driving like a road course, autocross, or even something like Tail of the Dragon we'd recommend the Dual Rate Springs. If you're more focused on a comfortable ride and looks with a slightly lower drop, then we'd suggest the Sport Progressives. Now the Dual Rate Springs still have a great ride for a daily, but the initial rate is closer to the factory PP1 spring rate.

    Is the ultralite EXTREME lowering springs compatible with the 2024 Mustang GT? I see some springs are compatible with 2015-2024 but the extreme are only for 2015-2023?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They will fit the 2024s, however just know that the car will be lower in the rear than what we advertise for the S550s which is about 2" with the Extreme. This may lead to rubbing in the rear and could require rear ride height spacers or adjustable rear camber arms to prevent this.

  • @MikeYeary

    Are these springs all compatible with the new 2024 Mustangs? How would the Magneride dual-rate springs compare with the Dark Horse Handling pack springs?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These springs are all compatible with the new 2024 Mustangs, although ride heights are slightly different. The Dark Horse Handling Pack springs have the same rates as the Mach 1 HP, which are 211lbs/in up front and 742lbs/in in the rear. The MagneRide Dual Rate's initial spring rate is a hair above that at 220 and 800, so for daily driving it has a very similar ride and stiffness. Once you get into corners that secondary rate comes in, bumping to 350 up front and 1200 in the rear giving you much more spring rate to play with.
