I've lived in Jacksonville for over 20 years and I'm never amazed that folks come from far and wife to walk the same paths Ronnie and co would have. When music hits you a certain way you feel compelled sometimes to go that extra mile to pay back the gratitude. Thanks for posting. Been to all the spots you were.

I don't know if I have to write a comment Lynyrd Skynyrd, but if I do. There's not many words you can say. The most talented group of people together I have ever heard, I I wo14 year's old and delivering newspapers and read about the plane crash. That's when I really started listening to them. Collins,Rossington, Games.Three of the most talented guitarists I have ever heard in one band. And Ronnie's voice and lyrics amazing. Only the best die young, they actually give me chills. Love You guys. Hope to see you some day.

Never heard the demo before for Tuesday’s Gone. Absolutely loved it. Great job. I bet it was quite an experience being at the spot where Ronnie spent his boyhood and inspiration for his music. RIP Ronnie Van Zant. When Ronnie died, so did Lynyrd Skynyrd. All that the band is today is a tribute band.

Born and raised on the west side of Jacksonville. Skynyrd is literally instilled into my blood. I pass by these places literally every day and im in that cemetery about once a month. You should have stopped by to see Allen Collins and Billy Powell while you were visiting Ronnie and Steve...They are out there too...

Something about the band members & PE teacher 'Skinner being buried in the same graveyard gets me too -Sure people in the same area end up in the same cemetery, but made me think of how we're together a few years in this life, playing different roles, older younger either way same ending, then it's all gone & others are living where we did - but I hope there's more? -"Leon Wilkeson was declared dead not once but 3 times, waking up only to say he'd been sitting on a cloud-shaped log with Ronnie and Duane Allman. “Ronnie told me, ‘Boy get yourself out of here, it’s not your time yet, get on out of here”

The soda bottle collector RVZ talks about is his childhood Frynd Gene Odom. He said The VanZants were too good to take soda bottles to the store. He would go behind Ronnie's house and put a bottle on each finger. Cash them in and get a moon pie and a coke. On the day Street Survivors came out I turned 15. Three days later I was horrified, still am. Southern Rock was formed in this house.

@@chiasanzes9770 from Gene. And there are hundreds of pieces of that plane. Including control panels etc. down south there are many displays of these pieces in Mississippi. There were hundreds of pieces that were just left laying around once the plane was taken away. Furthermore, once the investigation was done they buried piles of the small pieces. YT is full of videos of ppl metal detecting that area and finding pieces.

We will be all gone someday but it sure would be nice to leave behind some great memories like these men, still listen to their music, Great memories of good times and good music I am 72 now and will soon pass on but loved playing thier music in the bands I have been in, although time is passing and all of us will pass into history forgotten over time it was sure Great being able to spend our time with the men and their music in the time that I have had. I would not change a thing I grew up in the best of times. the 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's. Now times are different and I cannot tell the difference between country and pop music it's all the same and real rock and roll is about gone. All things must pass I guess.
