One thing I'd like to point out, pentagon got 5 sides, a circular polygon with 6 sides is a hexagon.

I did take away more than just that. I did mention that the video was very good and was really well explained.
But I had to point out this little detail so that the people who actually don't know the terminologies, to not get misguided.

I tried SketchUp a while ago and couldn't wrap my head around the logistics (and my adhd wouldn't let me sit down and focus on the tutorials I found; I needed to do my project RIGHT NOW!!!!) Anyway, the way you've presented things in this video and the previous two in this series have been great, as I've said. Thank you; I am happy that you are here.

Wow - great tutorials - and what great software - very intuitive. I've worked a little with Autocad and a lot with Turbocad (as my employer couldn't afford the former) - Granted these CADS have different purposes, but if you're after a general-use designer app, SketchUp is in a league of its own, thanks to its user-friendliness. These tutorials are top notch - greatly appreciated.

When I use the "S" to get the pointer it gives me an arrow with a box nest to it instead of just the pointer if I select it from the side bar. If I use the "S" it works different than what I see your pointer in the videos doing. How do I get the pointer you use in videos without going to the side bar?

Great tutorial! I can't believe i'm navigating this program so well after being totally intimidated by it for months! Just on video 3 and I already feel much more confident.
Question: I find that when I'm using the move/copy feature works great. But on occasion my items will disappear while i'm in the midst of moving them, then I have to go back and reselect them and try the move again. This happens specifically when I have the items selected, begin the move, the zoom out for a wider view. I don't have a mouse at the moment so I'm using the keypad, and i'll also use the "M" key to begin the move as you described.

Certainly helpful, thanks, but a lot of what you do I am unable to reproduce myself. This video I have watched a couple of times now, rewinding some parts again and again to attempt to follow. But some things, like the settings mentioned under Entity Info, are not there. Cannot find them. I’m also having a lot of trouble with things working only once and then not a second time. Another example: drawing an arc gave me about five arcs at the same time. Deleting everything else first didn’t help and I had to make a new project for the tool to work. I don’t know if this is a bug or if some things you did earlier like making multiple copies of a cylinder then becomes sticky to all subsequent actions. In any case I had to start a new project several times along the way in order to make your actions work. Still extremely helpful!

But with components, is there a way to adjust the geometry of the "master" object so those changes apply to the "slave" objects, but then changing the geometry or material of the slave objects doesn't change the geometry of the master object? Like a hierarchical structure that only flows one way down the line?

Can I use the MAKE UNIQUE feature in order to design a board and batten accent wall in such a way that if at a later time I want to adjust the width of the planks, I only have to do that once and all the other instances automatically adjust?
