I have nothing to live for but awesome food. im 39 and have no kids no wife, no career, im fat because I have disabled legs and they don't work well. So I have to diet to lose weight. Being a man and being overweight is not fun when you're expected to handle the hard parts of life so women have an easier time at doing ANYTHING. Not fun when you run out of energy quickly, have this flabby gut pulling on your body or getting in the way when you're trying to do anything mildly physical, not only that it keeps you from doing some things you might actually love spending your time doing. It's the worst when you get so easily winded. That ALONE was enough reason to sort my sh** out. I'll indulge them though, I'll consider their side of the argument if they can beat me to the end of the driveway and back lol. You forfeit the competition if you have a heart attack.

I was obese once. It has taken a lot of work to get to just overweight and sometimes healthy weight. But exercise is a part of everyday life. I am pretty sure I am fat because....I eat too much. I know...its shocking.

I’m at 5’7 and it’s kinda like the sweet spot right before most women consider you a midget. It’s not impossible to attract good looking women, but I guess as far as genetics was concerned at least I wasn’t ugly and short. Geez, the whole body positivity thing is completely retarded! I love my body enough to LOSE THE WEIGHT that is slowly killing me. Being overweight puts ENORMOUS strain on your body and is the underlying cause of multiple preventable diseases. I watched my mom, a wonderful, happy, accomplished woman, be fat for most of her life and the struggles she went thru that SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO if she had committed to losing weight. When she passed away from cancer at 72 (her second go round of cancer), she had had high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, arthritis in her hips, knees, and ankles, and high cholesterol. I'm determined not to put my family thru that, so I'm losing weight (slowly, but steadily) and getting fit. We think fit people are attractive cuz they look HEALTHY and people are attracted to HEALTHY not to SICKLY.

The only brightside we had when my mom passed, was that it was right before covid hit and we were able to have her funeral literally the weekend BEFORE they locked down Iowa. I sincerely hope that you were able to be with your dad til the end, and to have the comfort of family afterwards. It means so very much to have that. God bless you.

I used to have chest pains all the time when I was pushing 300, I don’t miss those days.
My life has been a real struggle being labeled just because of how I look, they have no idea my daily strife. The cat calling and googly eyes, strangers telling me how good I look and the name calling; "bro you looking swoll", "damn cuz you jacked", and don't get me started on my wife with her constant sexual innuendoes "you can curl me, you can squat this any time, babe you're delicious". It was a real struggle, but once I came out to my family and friend as morbidly obese they've been great accepting me for who I really am.
