🦊🦊🦊🦊 Fantastic blend/smoke. I dry this blend out for about 15-30 minutes then rub it out and load. I'm a new piper. I usually smoke english or vaper blends. Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake is a fantastic blend . I will always try to have this blend stocked up in my tobaccos. Muttnchop's description is spot on. Also thanks Muttnchop for this blend club and introducing me to this blend.

Thank you for doing this blend club Chris, it is fun! I just received this tobacco Friday Feb 3rd. Love the aroma of this luxury twist flake and also the unique look of the flake itself.
I first tried the tobacco in a corncob pipe with the fold and stuff method and had some tongue bite, but I feel I smoked it too soon . It was just out of the bag/box it came in. This evening I let the flake dry out for about forty five minuets then rubbed the flake out and did the three trickle method to fill the pipe, This time in my Hecthor Weibe/radiator pipe. Absolutely a better smoke and tasted many of the same flavor nuances as you mentioned in the video. I rate this tobacco four smiley faces!

😊😊😊😊This is what blend club is about. I was already a fan of Orik flake and Mac Barran Dark Fired. Would not have tried this if not for blend club. Love this smoke. Had better luck rubbing it out and letting it dry a couple hours. Tried fold and roll, but found it to moist. Love the Virginia sweet taste and deep smokey flavor. Will buy some more. Thanks Chris👏

😊😊😊😊😊 Such a sweet mellow blend, without a hint of harshness.
If you like Orlic Golden sliced, this feels like a more mature cocoa take on it.
Less citrus and fresh hay, more mature sweetness, think raisins, molasses, chocolate and dark vanilla.
Really nice, smooth, mellow smoke, hard to get a bite from it, IMO.
From someone who could never get into aromatics for their harshness, this converted me into really thinking a good topping can Absolutely improve a blend

😎😎😎😎 Just got this off of back order, but it's fittingly good for April / May in sunny CA. Aroma- carmel or vanilla, hay, grass. Cut-beautiful swirls of gold, black, red. If there was an award for the most beautiful looking tobacco, this would be right on top. Moisture -- perfect. Pipepacking - rubs out easily and packs nicely. Burn - easy to light, burns slow and cool. Taste - mild to very mild with slightly grassy, slightly sweet mild virginia flavor with a very faint hint of a topping.

😀😀😀😀😀 Wow! This blend is sweet and smooth! Very easy to smoke. I never really picked up on the coconut flavor, but the caramel and vanilla danced nicely on my palate. Nicotine was minimal (even for a lightweight such as me).

😎😎😎😎 A good VA thats mild, soft and creamy with tin notes of toffee and hay. The twists in the flakes are pleasant to the eye and rub out easily to prepare. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a mellow smoke.

😀 😀 😀 😀 A very sweet all Virginia blend with hints of honey and caramel. This is one of the best looking flakes I have seen; I love the way this one looks. Very easy to rub out and my bag didn't require any drying time - the moisture level was just about perfect. The sweetness that you find in the "tin" note goes away quickly after the light and you are left with a really good Virginia taste of hay and grass. I tried it in several pipes and found that it works best (for me) in a bent pot shaped pipe (Peterson's 01 shape in my case). The nic level was mild to medium and, as with most Virginia's, it can bite if smoked too fast. This was the first time I tried this one, but really like it and it is one that I will be keeping on hand from now on.

I definitely enjoyed the presentation of the flake. It has a a very cake-like, sweet aroma in the bag. I also picked up on a slight fruit note, and the description of apricot hits it perfectly.
I tried the fold and stuff method for the first few bowls and found it required a lot of maintenance and relights. It did burn cooler and I did get some richer vanilla flavors with this method. Rubbing the flake out in my palm and using the 3-step method worked fantastic for this blend (very low maintenance and easy to keep lit which made the smoking experience that much more relaxing). It did burn hotter and changed the flavor profile slightly. Like Mutton Chop mentioned I had to remind myself to pace my draws to prevent tongue-bite. The creamy caramel flavors reminded me of pralines that I find at certain Mexican restaurants. This is where I relate the aged taste/aroma Mutton Chop mentions. Almost like a stale, slightly burnt caramel flavor. The vanilla is toned down but still there.
I received many compliments on the room note as it was quite pleasant and not at all overpowering. I would call this a mild aromatic.
I definitely recommend this blend. I will be ordering more to cellar and see if anything changes with age. Looking forward to February's blend and reviews!

    :) :) :) :)
Presentation: Beautiful looking flake. Tin note was that of sweet hay with a hint of raisin.
Fully Rubbed: Easily hot on the tongue.
Folded: Had to relight, but very enjoyable.
Lightly Rubbed: Now my 'go to' method.
Taste: Light flavor. Smooth complexity of sweet hay, raisin, coconut, and almost a french vanilla.
    Room note: Light aroma, pleasant.
Main note: Like Muttnchop said, SMOKE SLOW, its easy to smoke fast due to how delicious it is. Also agreed that its a great transition for aromatic pipers. After finishing 2oz. of this, I will be buying more. Thank you, Good Brother.

:) :) :) I've smoked 8 bowls of the Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake for this review. I tried it in quite a few different pipes in different situations. It is the first flake I've ever smoked. As far as the flavor goes, it was certainly not unpleasant, however, maybe it's too subtle for me to notice all of the caramel, vanilla and raisin notes. I don't have a lot of experience yet with various blends (which is why I'm excited to be doing this). I really do like the convenience of just taking out one flake and smoking it. That gives you the exact same amount each time. I only tried to smoke two flakes at-a-time once, even though one flake only filled about half the bowl in most of the pipes I tried. Just one flake lasted me over an hour-and-a-half most times! It took nearly four hours to get through the bowl with two flakes. The moisture was probably pretty good. If I didn't take it out of the mason jar and let it sit for a while first it was hard to keep lit. But overall, a great blend.

    :) :) :) :) :)
    Name:
    Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake
    Type:
    Flake
    Moisture level:
"Drowned rat", but I believe this is the correct moisture for this blend and that it would suffer from attempts to modify this.
    Tin/Bag note:
Strange tin/bag note. Cannot place it. Has a cheesy fermented quality to it (that description will not match what you smell, but alas, words fail..), and it is sweet.
    Flavoring:
There is a casing that I cannot place. Possibly artificial caramel and maple, but very light on the maple and there are extremely light Vanilla notes. There is also a slight perfume tint, which lasts all through the bowl, becoming slightly bitter in pipes not using a carbon filter.
    Mechanics:
    Rubbed out:
Broken up it packs and lights well despite the moisture. Burns cool and slowly. Remains sweet all the way to the heel, where its strength increases and takes on a more stereotypical tobacco flavor. Retrohale is quite nice and will intensify whatever flavor you are getting from whatever point in the bowl you happen to be.
    Fold and stuff:
The method of Fold and Stuff I used was to roll them up, three of them, concentrically. As this was approximately 1cm taller than the depth of the Vauen MI232 bowl, I mashed it down with a twisting motion. I then utilized the spike of the Vauen Pipe Tool to pierce the mass, upon testing the draw I found it acceptable, and thus lit the bowl. Due to the moisture, lighting was not a simple affair. I do not recommend fold and stuff of any method, as drying this Flake detracts from its positive attributes rather significantly. Stick to rubbing it out.
Overall impressions, by pipe and method:
    Rubbed out:
    - Through the Vauen MI 232 one may detect extremely faint hints of the US gum called "juicy fruit".
    - In the Weaver/Johnson the Perique is much more pronounced, as is a creamy sweet hay note and the typical astringent VA notes (which are not present in deleterious quantities), otherwise the profile is much the same as with the Vauen.
    - Through the Peterson 312 it is largely the same as with the Weaver/Johnson.
    - When using the Savenelli Prince of Wales half churchwarden with a new Balsa system insert, more of the spiciness, creaminess and caramel/Vanilla/maple notes come through than with the Weaver/Johnson or Peterson, along with less acridity than either, but more astringency than is present with the Vauen.
I believe I prefer this in the Vauen, as the creaminess and slight caramel/maple/Vanilla like notes come to the forefront more prominently.
The smell and flavor are sweet, like MacBaren Vanilla Flake but no Vanilla. Wheat/Bread notes. Slight toasted aroma. Very faint maple and caramel but heavier by far on the caramel, which itself is quite mild. Do not think it is strong like "Town Topic" because we are talking two different universes here.
    French Inhale:
Sweet, plain glazed donut, mild citrus, light caramel
    Retrohale:
Yeast roll, pine, mild caramel, hay, soap/cleaner
    Strength:
    Mild to Medium strength
    Nicotine:
Nicotine imperceptible, but I cannot detect nicotine anyway at any level. Your will have a different result than I.
    Bite potential:
Low potential to bite (for me), though I an getting a chemical numbing even through charcoal. Perique? As I smoke this I think that this is more perique than bite. It is far milder than MacBaren Vanilla Creme loose and is sweeter and milder thn the Vanilla Creme Flake, which is the closest thing I can compare it to.
    Pipes tried in:
    • Vauen MI 232 Author w/ Filter
    • #9 Blast Weaver/Johnson Mammoth Ivory "Pipe of the year" from Pipes and Tobacco magazine
    • Peterson Standard System 312
    • Savenelli Prince of Wales
    Recommendation:
If you like MacBaren Vanilla Creme flake you will like this but do not expect to taste or smell vanilla. It tastes very similar to the MB flake once the Vanilla burns off but a bit sweeter. So if you are looking for a sweet VA that is not necessarily an aromatic this will fit nicely.
    Definitely going in my rotation.
    Room note:
    Wife:
Mild room note "not so tobacco-y", "like leaves", "do not detect sweetness"
    Son:
    "Smokey sausage", "smokey vanilla"

Very nice review!Normally a straight Virginia or a VaPer smoker but, yeah, this blend is very pleasant and mild. I cannot notice coconut as you do but sweet caramelized vanilla is definitely in my nose. I find the nicotine just below medium and the room-note very pleasant.I would rate it with: 3x😀😀😀 and 1x😋.

Just smoked my first bowl of this on my way to work today. Absolutely delicious. I get a really sweet baked bread taste. The baked bread takes the front seat and is amazing. And in the back a little nutty and honey taste. Very mild and pleasant smoke with a big flavor.

😊😊😊 I found the twist flake presentation great...loved the look and ease of rubbing out . Pouch note was that of Virginia's with an essence of a mix between coconut molasses and caramel . I smoked this in a custom Chris Morgan M&M cob....after the char light it only required one relight . Good smoke volume...little vitamin N burns to a nice ash with no moisture or dottle left in the bowl. Not on the top of my list just yet...but still have a few more pipes to go . Side note...one flake rubbed out perfectly filled my Country Gent custom . Three smiles for presentation...moisture level...flavor and price .

👍👍👍👍 Really enjoy this blend. From the presentation to the final puff. About 30 minute or so dry time. I am very new to pure Virginia's and I find this to be a very relaxing smoke. Still working on the flavor assessment of the smoke, but the initial aroma was very pleasing and I find the room note to be as described.

Love the cut. My wife mentioned it almost looked and smelt more like a bakery item and she was spot on. Moisture was good. Smoked it in a cob. First smoke I folded, rushed to much, and got some bad tongue bite. Each smoke after that I flaked it out to dry a bit, took my time, and man it was a good smoke! Picked up quite a bit of caramel flavor along with raisins and a bit of coconut. Nicotine was mild. Friends said the room note was pleasant.

😁😁😁😁 I liked it. I bought 8oz of the blend and smoked about a quarter of the bag. While I had difficulty in keeping it lit I still found it worth the aggravation. I used the wad method of loading the pipe. While I detected a sweetness in the blend I was not able to detect the flavor. The smoke in itself to be very smooth. I found smoking a couple of bowls each sit down.

😀😀😀1/2 Love the tin aroma. Hay, coconut, and figs. The flake is beautiful, packs easily and burns well. I taste the coconut and caramel. I get a touch of spiciness. For a straight Virginia, it has great flavor and sweetness. I tried this tobacco because it was one on your top ten list. Glad I did! Very pleasing aroma.

I tend towards non-aromatics (most aros to my palette either have no taste or taste like chemicals). Initially I was considering this blend for my public "people pleaser" smoke, but I liked it so much that I kept coming back to it nearly every time that I reached for a pipe. Other blends that I really like from Peter Stokkebye include Toasted Burley, 701 Virginia and Bullseye Flake (a very subtle blend that requires some cellar time in my experience).
I look forward to future installments of this series. Great idea.

🙂🙂🙂🌗 I give this 3.5. It has a very nice pouch note, great texture, smokes mild, & has a decent room note. I don't detect any coconut while I'm smoking (which is good - I don't like coconut). My biggest complaint is I have to constantly light it. I didn't notice it being particularly moist to the touch so I'm not really understanding the relight issues. Would have been a solid 4 rating if it wasn't for that issue.

🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 Even though I'm a newer pipe smoker, I like Virginias a lot, maybe because I used to smoke cigs. It's on the mild side compared to some in the flavor and nicotine strength department but I'm not always looking for a strong nic hit. It's good for the morning or late evening and I also like to bring it with me and pack one flake in a Huck Finn at work or when I'm out and about and don't want to smoke a full bowl. I stocked up on it and it's got a place in my rotation. It also looks really cool and has a pleasant "bag note"

👍👍👍👍 I found this to be very bready and nutty maybe sweet caramel at the end. Halfway through you can really get a better taste of everything . A very well behaved blend. This is my first blend club post I hope I done this right. This was recommended by mutton chop. This is one of my go to blends. Very nice all the way around for a new smoker that may want to crossover to natural Virginia. As it was for me. Indeed a beautiful and delish blend.

Glad I got to try this tobacco, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I definitely got the caramel snd coconut flavors. Room note would be OK around nonsmokers. I like to fold and stuff flakes, and that works well for this one. I found it a bit too wet and benefited from a couple hours of drying time. It's not in my top 10, but still enjoyable. I bought 8oz on sale and will have no problem getting through that. As mentioned, the cut is interesting, and the flakes ade fairly thin not the "beef jerky" thick other vendors have. 3.5 smileys.

:) :) :) :) I smoked these flakes in a Savinelli Marron Glace 320KS (briar), MM Diplomat 5th Ave corn cob, and Dagner P5 stubby poker (reverse calabash); mild woodsy smoke; musky to cocoa/molasses flavor as bowl went down, did not get sweet grassy notes; burns well after the char light; did fold and stuff; son said the room note was mild tobacco; flavor profile matures as bowl burns down, jarring would probably work well to enhance an already good smoke; it is a VA, so needs to be smoked slowly. One flake works out pretty good for a smoke; and in all instances the flake burned all the way down to ash.

I consider this blend a mild Virginia more on the mild side nicotine low also tho moisture content was perfect and I detect the raisin apricot on the bag note overall I consider it a solid blend and not to much perique .and at a reasonable price and I find it best rubbed out 3x😃😃😃

😊😊 I only gave two smileys because of the following:
    - the smell was ok like wheat and nutty almost a doe or yeast taste
    - I kind of had to learn how to smoke it. So at first I got a considerable amount of bite it was also quite moist so that may explain why I still got some bite even after I was able to load my pipe well
    - It had a nice light flavor kind of like the same way it smelled. Mostly wheats and a sweet grassy flavor
    - When I got good at loading, I was able taste a little coco flavor also
    - but because of the bite and having trouble keeping my pipe lit I gave it two smiley faces
    - I might cellar a little and try it again

: ) Only one smiley. This is what I consider a crossover blend and it didn't really work for me, which not many crossovers do sadly. The pouch aroma is nice, I detect vanilla mainly and a bit of coconut and maybe just a hint of caramel. The tobacco itself looks to be pretty decent with a nice appearance and I would love to smoke some of it without the topping which unfortunately ruined it for me. I have been smoking over 20 years and know plenty well how to smoke slow but this stuff just wants to burn hot for me or go out quickly and the relights tasted pretty bad also. It's one of those blends that already has natural sugar so the added sugar really makes it want to burn hot which if it gets going fast enough the PH changes. I didn't get bit by it but it got my friend who wanted to try it also. I really like Mcclelland #27 or C&D opening night for a straight unflavored va or Mc #2010 if you have to have bulk. If you like flavored va like this luxury flake and want another option to try Mcclelland #5115 and honeydew aren't bad. I am glad I tried this so I know what it is but I don't like it at all, it's more trouble than it's worth to me and I will be giving away the rest of my sample. Oh well, maybe I'll like the next blend better.

I must say After smoking P.S Twist Flake and having sampled the other two Luxury blends last week also, I have to say that I am going to have to reevaluate how I think about blends based on their components. I had turned my nose up to Virginia's as well as most Cavendish blends simply because of some bad experiences with a few over the counter blends. I was totally wrong. The quality of the leaf and how it is blended and aged or cured makes all the difference. I cant say which of the Luxury blends I like the best as all three seem to stand on their own. Like Anointed beardsman talks said in his video "Glory smoke: The Danger of Comparison about McClellands 2020 Mature Flake" judging blends against each other leads to miss judgment causing us to totally under appreciate a blend simply due to comparison instead of allowing the blends own Character shine on its own. Have a great day my friend. Brian

There is a noticeable tin note of coconut from Peter Stokkebye Twist flake. The tobacco was great mechanically and was easy to rub out and pack.
First thing I noticed when smoking Peter Stokkebye Twist flake is the caramel topping. It is very noticeable and overwhelms the natural Virginia flavors making the blend overall seem very one note. I agree with MuttnChop that this blend would be perfect for a new piper wanting to try Virginia, but I feel that it is a little too bland for my tastes.
    Cheers!

:):):) - Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake-- Dry out of the bag. It had a slight sweet smell to it, thinking it might have been a vanilla but not positive. I tried it folded and stuffed but could not keep it lit. So then I rubbed it down to ribbons. As ribbons it lit easily and had no problem keeping it lit. Could taste the virginia right away. Down about a quarter of the bowl and it’s a smooth, mild smoke so far, still Virginia but nothing else so far. I thought I was taking my time but the bowl started to get hot so I put it down, first smoke in a new pipe so not sure if it was the pipe or my cadence. Just under half a bowl now and still getting the virginia but not really any other flavors. Smoked four bowls over the month it was consistently the same every time, can’t say there was anything that stood out about it. A decent smoke but not one I am likely to buy again.

Truthfully it should be 2.5 🙂's but I've rounded up.
    The flake is beautiful.
Using the fold and stuff method, I found it to light well and stay lit moderately well.
The VA's did heat up as VA's are prone to do when smoked aggressively, but it was not the hottest of smokes by any stretch of the imagination.
My chief complaint is that this blend is a middleman between aro's and non-aro's. Perhaps this is a good thing for someone looking to transition, but I want one or the other (and preferably the latter).
While the pouch aroma is a tasty vanilla and coconut, I do not care for the room note which would make it hard for me to purchase again.
The Bullseye Flake by Mr. Pete Stokkebye is definitely preferred.

Cut: Rolled twist flake, pure Virginia blend. Pressed and cut into rope strands and then rolled into coin and square shapes. This is an aromatic.
    Moisture: Goldilocks.
Smell: Caramel, maple, hay barn, bread.
Taste: Light taste of maple, some vanilla, caramel. Very smooth body and mouthfeel.
Likes: Wonderful aroma so I assume the room is delightful. Very enjoyable with abundant flavor. No nic hit. Burns well with some caution and cadence.
    Dislikes: None.
A really nice introduction to twist flake. The aroma with this blend is so pleasant. The flavor carries throughout the entire bowl. The maple is very evident about 1/3 of the way in and to the bottom. Sweet but not overly so and delicious. I highly recommend it and will add this to my list of worthy aromatics.

Overall, this is a very good quality blend , just didn't work out that well for me. The presentation/quality of the actual flake is impressive and has a nice mildly sweet aroma. I agree with the others on the vanilla and raisin notes, but for me the "aromatic" part of the blend disappeared within the first few puffs.
I tried the fold and stuff method, but ultimately decided that rubbing it out and letting it dry for a quite a while was what worked best for me, otherwise it was too bitey and wet. I'm not normally a flake tobacco guy, so perhaps I went wrong in the prep department. Tried it in cobs and briars.
I will probably give it another try in the future, but for now I probably won't be getting any more.

:) :) just happened to have some of this on hand so lucky me. I would say for a mile-medium it is definitely more on the mild side. It's pleasantly sweet and I also got a hint of caramel as I saw in another comment.. To be honest tho I am not a fan. I was just too light for me but it has a pleasant flavor.

:) :)Presentation : Very nice looking flake tabacco. Mine was a bit to wet and I had a hard time keeping it lit. Smell: Mild with a fruity note. Taste: Mild slightly sweet taste. Strength: This one gave me a bit of a headache. Overall: Nice mild smoke. I would have given it three smileys if not for the strength.

Tin note is good, coconut, vanilla
Room note is good, very sweet smelling VA
First light tastes good as well
These flakes are GORGEOUS by the way
But that's about as far as I got to liking this tobacco. It just didn't work for me, no matter how many bowls I smoked. I will let some age and see if opinion changes months later. I have never had a tobacco bite me as bad as this stuff, no matter how slow I puffed. I love slow burning Virginias that tend to bite, but this was overkill. Not sure why it affected me that way. Taste was hot air.

If I could give a half of a smiley emoji that's what I would do. I give this one 3 and a half stars/smileys.
The appearance is very attractive and the tin/bag note is fantastic. The stuff smells good enough to eat.
I like the tobacco very much for the first half of the bowl. There you get a wonderful sweetness from the topping and you can still taste the tobacco flavor as well.
Once you get to the half way point, the sweetness died down for me. I have found that if you use a smaller bowled pipe, it helps with this.
I would give it 4 stars if the sweet flavor continued all the way to the end of the bowl for me.
I generally like my Virginias to be pure and non flavored, but this is a nice smoke for a change of pace or for in the morning.
My favorite time to smoke it is in the morning with coffee.

Fairly sweet Virginia cavendish. Citrus and hay. Creamy smoke, mild to my taste, after half bowl the fruityness is even more detectable, perhaps some coconut too?. Nice room note. Good smoke for newbies.
+++ and half. I prefare Gawith's FVF or Dunhills Royal Yacht.

I'm more of an aromatic smoker, but this Virginia was mild and pleasant. I got more of a caramel bag note than the fruit, but the room note was also lovely. I would recommend to anyone who wants to try a Virginia that isn't too in your face.

    Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake
DISCLAIMER BEFORE I START MY REVIEW DETAILS:
I am a fairly new pipe smoker. So, my depth of terminology will need to be somewhat forgiven here. Also, this is my first experience with a flake tobacco. i have also never smoked this blend before.
    Initial Thoughts:
Upon opening the bag I found the aroma to be quite pleasing. I got a definite whiff of sweetness followed by what I can only describe as a fresh bread smell...... sort of a sweet bread if you will.
    Presentation:
To my novice eyes, the way the tobacco was cut was impressive. It really looks good aesthetically speaking.
    Moisture:
I would not classify this as being really wet. I have smoked quite a few blends that were near dripping. It is certainly moist but is at what seems to be a very acceptable level.
    Preparation:
I used the fold and stuff method to pack my pipe every time I smoked this tobacco. It was not a difficult process.
    At First Light:
Upon first smoking, the sweetness definitely comes through but is not overpowering at all. There are definite hints of maybe vanilla & caramel toned down by the aged flavor of the tobacco itself. The flavors stayed with the tobacco through the entire smoke.
    Room Note:
The room note on this tobacco is pretty great. Going back to my initial thoughts, it is also like the smell of a sweet bread baking in the oven.
    Burn:
I had no problems keeping the tobacco burning and it seemed to smoke fairly cool. Towards the end of each bowl there were a few relights required, some tamping required and moisture was present. For now, I chalk this up to my pipe smoking experience because each bowl pretty much burned down to a fine ash.
    Final Thoughts:
This is a good enough tobacco and I can see where many would give it 5 smiles. I may acquire some more of this and rotate it in occasionally. However, I did not feel that for me and my preferences it warrants 5 smiles, thus the 4 smile rating. I am a big fan of the Peter Stokkebye Cinnamon and I could not get over the feeling while smoking this that "something was missing". The sweetness was there, the age was there but I yearned for that cinnamon as it seems it sets off the aged taste a little better than just the hints of vanilla and caramel that this tobacco offers. That said, I would not hesitate to recommend someone give this a try.
Thank you Chris for including us in these reviews. Nightcap is something that I have in my stash already so I am looking forward to next month.

😎😎😎😎 it's a very nice and mild aromatic. the sweetness of vanilla and caramel works well with the natural sweetness of the virginias. I also pick up the raisin taste and smell with the first 1/3rd of the bowl. I usually don't like aromatics but this one if very enjoyable. its very well balanced and the added flavorings never overpower the natural flavors. I found it tasted best in my corncob pipes.

Very pleasant, "candy/sweet" smell. Nice presentation although that's the lowest priority for me. Must be broken up quite a bit or else you'll be relighting a lot. Mild taste, too mild for me as I need something stronger to register on my taste buds. Use the "breath" method to avoid a hot bowl. For me, not bad, but not "noteworthy" either. Those who like aromatics should like this a lot.
    Smoked in: Country Gentleman cob

:) :) :) :) Very Mellow , Sweet in taste , you can smell the Virginia's , did come in little moist , Great tobacco for the price. I have a hard time picking out flavor in any tobacco products. Maybe as time goes on will be able too pick out the flavor.

This is becoming one of my favorite mild tobaccos a slight wisp of vanilla and a nice caramel after. Being a pure Virginia smoking it fast causes a lot of heat. When not allowed some extra drying time I find this can produce a lot of moisture. On two occasions I had the sugar caramelize in the bowl causeing an issue with the draw

    This is a Virginia flake.
Smell: when opened i got the string smell of hay and some molases. It claims to have caramel but I smell molases.
When smoked I am overwhelmed by the hay flavor.
The flake itself is beautiful and looks like marble. When first lighting the tobacco I had trouble keeping it lit. Perhaps I should have rubbed it more.
All in all it smoked well but is a Virginia based tobacco and I am not a Virginia fan. I tried this tobacco three times; once in a corncob, once in a briar, and once in a porcellin. They all left me with the same opinion.
I have a video review on my channel at Zombii Piper.
Thanks to Muttonchop for this opportunity to learn from others.

I know this is against the rules of blend club, but not sure where else to ask this question Muttonchop. Do you have a recommendation for pipe style or size for Virginia’s? It would be nice if the #ytpc presenters all did a video series together where each one went through what pipe they prefer for burleys, virginias, English’s, etc? I’m sure a lot is personal taste, but I’d imagine we would see a pattern.
