It lends itself to the autumnal theme of the tobacco, and really takes me to the fall time at the end if these hot Georgia days. I enjoy packing my pipe with this blend just as much as I love smoking it. It is thick, filling, And makes me think of a crispy waffle covered in Vermont's finest maple syrup. Is it weird that I like to enjoy this blend with a glass of milk? Well, if I'm wrong, then I don't wanna be right.
2/5 virginias already have a tenancy to burn hot, then they add black cavendish which can also be somewhat hot and top the whole thing with sugar... it really likes to just burn up and become bitter and awful. it would really benefit from some burley in the mix IMO, mixed with some prince albert it's much more smokable.

Just ordered a tin of this, I've never smoked a pipe before but I'm getting into it for the first time and I ordered this blend because it was recommended on a few sites I checked, glad to know it's an enjoyable smoke. Edit: After trying it, I really enjoy it. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5, the room note it leaves after smoking is great, and it makes me smell like maple syrup for the whole day afterwards.
I really enjoy this blend when it's fresh. Your dessert comparison was spot on! It is truly in a class all it's own! I have a tin awaiting me to enjoy now. Happy piping!
5/5 I'm a returning smoker having recently smoked my cellared tobacco aged 6 years, this was the first tin of fresh tobacco I ordered. Immediate reaction opening the tin was creamy butterscotch which turned to a powerful maple taste and smell after smoking. Buttery smooth to smoke, loved it. Quite light headed afterwards which doesn't happen with other tobacco I smoke at the moment.
🐧I know a lot of people like this blend, but I am not a fan. It just rubbed my nose the wrong way when I retrohaled. It literally made me sneeze and left my sinuses feeling, for lack of a better term, weird...I had to smoke a latakia bomb of some sort afterwards each time just to clear me out. Or was it just an excuse to smoke another bowl? I would not be against trying it again in a couple years because the taste is decent, but it is not one that will be in my blend rotation any time soon.
that's a good call! i have had it put up for a few weeks now...might even give it another whirl later today. the flavor is out of this world so i wanna find a workaround!
✝️✝️✝️✝️ My first Blend club and first tin blend. I’ve tried three different bulk blends from local B&M and this puts em to shame! Tin note: Amazing! Maple, buttery, vanilla Taste: I’m new to pipes and it’s hard to really pick out flavors but it wasn’t an offensive taste or aftertaste like some of the other blends I’ve tried. Room note: Smooth and buttery Will definitely buy this again! This was fairly easy to pack and had to tamp and relight multiple times (still learning and probably wasn’t dry enough). I will let some out to dry a bit next time and see. Thanks for teaching me about pipes and tobaccos Muttnchop!
🥞🥞🥞🥞i give 4 tall stacks. Im new to pipes, all I have had until now was borkum riff which made me wonder why i was trying this at all. I tried autumn evening and i get it , i get why people enjoy this. I now know what smooth is, no tounge bite, easy to smoke, and even my novice palette could pick up the maple. Love the smell it gives off! Pancakes for sure! I didnt get the vanilla, seemed more brown sugar to me. Mine wasnt wet at all when i got it today. Was nice to not have to work at it to keep it lit. So far its my fav, but this is in comparison to a ( in my opinon) bad tobacco.
I just got into the pipe with both feet last December. This was what I tried first because it came with high regards. I enjoyed it a lot, and as Im getting better with the pipe, like it even more. The retro-hale is a game changer. Im getting more of the flavors.
I just bought a tin of this from a reputable online vendor. Upon opening the sealed tin the tobacco was far too dry. Especially when all the reviews say this is a pretty moist tobacco and needs a bit of time to dry before smoking. The smoke was hot, burned fast and burned the nose even. None of the other tobaccos i have do this. I emailed the vendor and they immediately shipped me another tin. Good on them. It was appreciated. I can’t believe this is how C&D intends this blend to be. The 2nd tin wad maybe 5-10% less dry but still drier than any other tobacco i have. It doesnt smoke any better either. Definitely gets me buzzed WAY faster than other tobaccos, and unless is smoked VERY slow burns the mouth and nose. So, in my experience its not great. Maybe i bought at a time they just sold some off batches?????
🤘🏻🤘🏻 I believe I got some older stuff. It was dry. Maple note was light.The Room note was like a Smokey waffle house. Not pleasant. I bought in bulk from a brick and mortar. Not Tinned. I can’t say my taste is accurate because the blend was old. I taste more vanilla than maple. Id much rather do C&D Green River Vanilla all day.
:) :) :) :) 4/4 I'm a new pipesmoker (thank you for all the quality content, it really helps when starting out!) and this is the first aromatic I've tried ever together with Peterson's De Luxe Mixture. I really enjoy it! When I first got it, I was a bit afraid that it would taste as strongly as it smells. As you say in the review, the smell is really strong. Wonderful, but really strong and I thought that it would be really overpowering to smoke if if tasted as much as it smells. Luckily, the taste of it is quite mild, though I get the same taste profile as how it smells. And it being mild, I really enjoy it. I don't think it feels overpoweringly "artificial" which was my number one fear when first trying out aromatics, I still think you get a nice tobacco taste with this one. I guess the only problem is that it tends to burn hot for me when going down the halfway point or so, but that may just be me still learning how to control the pipe. I really enjoy smoking this one, and it's definitely one of my favorite tobaccos that I've tried so far.

🍁🍁🍁🍁This is one of my favorite blends. So glad you did a review on it. I Smoke it out of a savinelli Ontario smooth Bordeaux. Love the maple in smoke. Definitely one I can and will smoke all day. Just got back into pipe smoking a few months back and this blend is what I chose.
I don't know how to rate this one. It is super sweet. Borderline too sweet for me. I like it but need to get used to it after smoking primarily English and lighter airomatics. I get almost no tobacco taste and allmost all flavoring.
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 5/5 This is the best aromatic tobacco i have smoked so far. It's not an everyday smoke, but when you are in the mood for something warm and sweet this is a good choice. I like to smoke it from a large pipe during a sunday evening having some tea in between relighting a pipe and it always makes my day, leaving a lingering sweet maple smell in the room for some time after. Definitely recommend to all aromatic smokers and for pure virginia lovers - just give it a try some time, you might like it. It's very different from your regular aromatic tobaccos.
😃😃😃😃- Normally, I am not a big fan of aromatic blends. This blend packs a great amount of flavor. Does not lose much flavor the deeper you smoke the bowl. No tongue bite. Thank you for blend club.

Cornell and Diehl's red virginia cavendish is my favorite blend. I recently found out it was used as the base for autumn evening, which I haven't yet tried, and ordered a tin that'll be here this Friday. I'm going to wait until it gets here to watch this video.
I do not think "mild" when smoking this blend, it's on the stronger side for an aromatic. Room note pleasant? Nah, again it's on the stronger side. The tin note is more pleasant than the room or smoking note.
@@@@ This is worth trying.It smells strong out the bag but with a sweet aroma.Burns slow and hardly have to relight.Has a smooth taste with no bite.Had this in a jar for over 3 months and it seems to age well and gets better.Thanks and another great review.

😎😎😎😎😎 5/5 for me. This was my first tobacco blend ever and I've just come to love it dearly. There is nothing more that I like than sitting in the living room on a chilly evening and putting some of this in my pipe with a good book. It's a light aromatic blend that is very sweet and pleasant. It reminds me of nights spent in front of the fire. A very good tobacco for beginners and an enjoyable smoke for experts and seasoned pipers. One of my all time favorites.

This blend obviously came heavily recommended and I gotta agree with you - that maple and vanilla slaps you in the mouth from the tin (and not in a bad way). I was blown away by this blend. Can’t wait for the temps to drop and have a bowl of this. Spot on the with dessert 💯 happy piping!
🥞🥞🥞🥞. I wouldn't be much of a Canadian if I didn't like maple! The name of this tobacco suits it perfectly.. A warm sweet and quiet smoke befitting the best season when the days are shorter, the air gets crisp, evenings are quieter and the colours change.
So beginner pipe smoker here. #1 I wouldn't recommend this to someone like me. However I would say for the most part it is accurate. Tin note is pleasant. I get a maple or liquor maple. Room note to me is tolerable. Taste.... the maple doesn't come through! There were moments where maybe just a hint of maple come though. Was easy to keep lit (my tin came dry). Nice color. Fine and shaggy cut. Maybe I should let it sit and age for a bit. So if you are a beginner like me... I would recommend putting it in a jar and letting it set a few months like he did. This was a great tobacco to learn packing your pipe and light and keep lit though!
I picked up a tin a few months ago. I'm generally not a fan of aromatic tobaccos but this wasn't too bad but a bit strong for me...too much maple. My two favorite go-to C&D tobaccos are Epiphany and Gentlemen Caller.
I'm new to pipe smoking. So far this is the only one that has not given me any tongue bite. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I tried mac baren scottish blend. That was a little bitey. Captain black I like the dark. But that tongue bite can be bad if you're not careful
🌱 Eeeewwwww. Don’t get me wrong, I like aromatics. But this one was awful. It came very dry in the tin, so much so that I had to rehydrate it a bit before smoking. The toppings are very artificial, both in smell and in taste. It smoked really hot, even when treated with a gentle cadence. All I could taste was sickly sweet, artificial flavors, and burley. I have only thrown out tobacco twice in my life, and this was one of them.
:) :) :) :) I give it four smileys. I really enjoyed Cornell & Diehl's Autumn Evening. It reminded me a bit of Straus Tobaconist's Sleepy Hollow. It had a very nice flavor and it makes a nice all-day smoke.
I give it 😊😊😊😊! Overall a very tasty blend. It is definitely an evening smoke for me. I would prefer it on chilly nights on a walk in the woods. 🎩🎩🎩🎩 I know I'm late to this, but I really wanted to give this another try. And I'm glad I did. I picked up a tin in January and loaded my Cob, at that time I really wasn't too fond of it. I figured it would be an "every now and then" blend on the shelf. Been smoking this in my Lorenzo 740 the last month. As for the aroma, I get pure pancakes. I have a Vanilla Maple sweetness throughout. I also get the Virginias and a slight spice off and on. The last 8 bowls have been spectacular, and I plan on ordering more soon. SO, thank you Muttnchop's Blend Club for sparking my interest and getting me to pull this off the shelf!!

It stayed lit very well in my Briarville Premium Pipe and had no tongue bite. I enjoyed the maple and vanilla. This is my favorite Aromatic to date and I’ll be keeping this in my rotation. I agree with you as seeing this as a desert tobacco and goes well after a meal.
I found it to be very smooth, no bite or hardness at all. I don’t find it overly sweet but very pleasant. I don’t do overly bold tobacco. This one is definitely going in my tobacco rotation! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
💥💥💥💥 enjoyed this smoke. It came a little dry. I have been smoking pipes around 4 months. I am not sure if I did right but I dripped a little water in my mason jar and let it set for a few days. I feels better now. Smells great in the jar and smokes very mild and light. Love the room note. My wife liked the smell too. One of my new favorites. I did notice that as you smoke it down, it ends up with a stronger harsher taste. Not to much though. I noticed this more than other tobacco's I've tried.

☠️☠️☠️☠️I do love this blend. My pallet is still new and unfortunately two years ago after catching Covid from the first strain, I was in a bad way. That single episode has pretty much destroyed my smell and taste but since. Happily, things have gotten better in the last year however I did and sometimes still do suffer from Parosmia which is essentially a phantom smell and/or taste when eating something that used to be familiar. At first when this came about I could not drink coffee as it tasted like a mixture of rotten chemicals. Thank you the Lord of hosts that is no longer the case. I have actually created a dessert cocktail (since were talking about dessert wine). I take C&D Green River vanilla but it can be practically a simple syrup. When mixed with 1/4 Green River vanilla and 3/4 autumn evening, this is so far become my favorite concoction my “Pirates blend.”

⭐️⭐️ I was excited to try this tobacco, for a couple of reasons really, primarily because it’s the first one I’ve participated in for Blend Club. I was also excited because I have a sweet tooth, and according to the reviews I read on it, maple syrup, waffles, caramel and vanilla are right up my alley! When I placed my order for it, I was wanting to buy it in bulk, but all of the bulk was sold out (on numerous sites), so I had to order a tin of it. Not a big deal, so I placed the order. Finally the mail came and I had my prize! Upon opening the tin, I was greeted by the wonderful smells I had been anticipating, and the excitement continued to build. The tobacco seemed a little dry to me, but I packed up a pipe, and lit it up anyhow. However, once I started smoking it, I quickly became disappointed. I caught the taste of the syrup and vanilla and caramel I’d been looking forward to, but they seemed faint. Instead, I was greeted heavily by, of all things, BLACK PEPPER! 🤔 I thought that maybe I’d eaten something earlier that caused a bad taste to linger, or perhaps it needed to be smoked from a different pipe, so I tried finishing most of the bowl, and thought I’d give it another go later. Ultimately, it didn’t change. In the end, I tried two other pipes, and made sure I hadn’t eaten anything odd, but I still got the same black pepper taste. After three attempts, I figured that it just wasn’t going to work for me, so I have to give it two stars from my perspective. Before I write this blend off completely, I’d like to get some in bulk, just to see if maybe it has a little more moisture, and perhaps the taste will be better. Until then, the batch of Autumn Evening I have will continue to age in its jar.
5/5 I absolutely love it! Every time I open my jar my daughter says it smells like opening a box of raisins. I usually don't have the patience to dry it out, and it doesn't do too badly staying lit. Very light, mellow smoke. Excellent room note.
🍁🍁🍁🍁 only tried once but I think the red Virginia cavendish was used nicely. Where the topping diminishes,the red Virginia lends a hand. Also reminds me of the maple Greek yogurt I have for breakfast.
🐵🐵🐵 I haven't been a fan of C&D's aromatics, I find them bland. But this one is pretty good. There's more of that casing flavor than you get from others and the tobacco has some nice flavor to it. Now this isn't my favorite but I think I'll cellar the rest and try it later down the road to see if those virginias pop
👍👍👍👍 I give this blend high marks for it's excellent aromatic quality. To me it doesn't have a whole lot of flavors outside of good quality tobacco, a very slight sweet maple syrup note, but it more than makes up for that in it's smoothness and fantastic French Toast with maple syrup smell. Makes me hungry for breakfast! This one is definitely worth a try!
:( - I tried to give this blend a go, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Good room note. I could taste the vanilla, but the maple did not come through in the bowl. I found an aftertaste that wasn't agreeable. I know a lot of people love this blend, but it wasn't for me.

Muttonchop, what are your thoughts on cellaring tobacco (specifically rope) in a vacuum seal bag? I drew out enough air for a light "squeeze" and sealed early enough not to get a full vacuum. Thank you for all you do for us. ROY
Just picked this up today and had an amazing smoke by a campfire, its safe to say I'm absoluetly in love with this blend, and the maple topping suits my Canadian tastes just perfectly!
The guys at Cornell and Deihl said this blend is their most difficult to make blend. I don't care for aromatics in general, but this one is my very favorite aro. Very nice tobacco.
🍁🍁🍁🍁 out of 5 The tin note reminds me of the caramel popcorn and candy shop at the mall. The smell in the air when you walk by that place. The flavor lives up rather well to that tin note. I usually have a hard time enjoying Maple blends but this one has some variety with the caramel and vanilla notes.
4.85 🍁's. I tried it for the first time two nights ago in my bent billiard meerschaum, and I was nothing short of impressed. I forget what tobacco I said was my second favorite after 1Q, but this takes that spot for sure! The maple and vanilla notes are strong without being cloying or chemical in taste, and the delectable flavor combination brings back memories of my paternal grandmother making huge batches of waffles whenever my younger brother and I would spend weekends over at her condo on the Indian River in Melbourne, Florida. About 10 minutes into the smoke, I began to notice a pleasant caramel note complimenting the other flavors of the tobacco, and this persisted for the remainder of the smoke. This blend is nothing short of ambrosial, and I wish I had tried it in my MacArthur so I could have enjoyed a longer smoke.

5 Stars, smoking a 4 year old jar and its very smooth, the maple is strong, not as much vanilla. It's sweet but no tongue bite. The Virginia is a bit stronger but in a good way.As it burns down the Virginians come out in front. But again im smoking a 4 year old jarred batch. :) :) :) :) :)

Aubrey Whitehead I dont know why I didnt do that 1st. I will definitely try it in my Cobb Pipe.
I actually gave the milk idea a try because of this comment and it was great, really enhanced the maple and vanilla flavor.

glad to see i am not crazy...this blend wreaks havoc on my nose no matter how slowly i smoke it.
I'd try letting it cellar and seeing how you like it. The Virginia comes out a lot more if you give it some time to age. Might be worth a shot.

I really enjoy it! When I first got it, I was a bit afraid that it would taste as strongly as it smells. As you say in the review, the smell is really strong. Wonderful, but really strong and I thought that it would be really overpowering to smoke if if tasted as much as it smells. Luckily, the taste of it is quite mild, though I get the same taste profile as how it smells.
And it being mild, I really enjoy it. I don't think it feels overpoweringly "artificial" which was my number one fear when first trying out aromatics, I still think you get a nice tobacco taste with this one.
I guess the only problem is that it tends to burn hot for me when going down the halfway point or so, but that may just be me still learning how to control the pipe.
I really enjoy smoking this one, and it's definitely one of my favorite tobaccos that I've tried so far.
🇺🇸🇺🇸 : bulk, very little aroma of maple maybe a hint of vanilla, smokes fine but nothing great, would try again in tin but won't be buying more bulk. Needs more maple.
🍁🍁🍁🍁This is one of my favorite blends. So glad you did a review on it. I Smoke it out of a savinelli Ontario smooth Bordeaux. Love the maple in smoke. Definitely one I can and will smoke all day. Just got back into pipe smoking a few months back and this blend is what I chose.

I don't know how to rate this one. It is super sweet. Borderline too sweet for me. I like it but need to get used to it after smoking primarily English and lighter airomatics. I get almost no tobacco taste and allmost all flavoring.

🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 5/5 This is the best aromatic tobacco i have smoked so far. It's not an everyday smoke, but when you are in the mood for something warm and sweet this is a good choice. I like to smoke it from a large pipe during a sunday evening having some tea in between relighting a pipe and it always makes my day, leaving a lingering sweet maple smell in the room for some time after. Definitely recommend to all aromatic smokers and for pure virginia lovers - just give it a try some time, you might like it. It's very different from your regular aromatic tobaccos.
😃😃😃😃- Normally, I am not a big fan of aromatic blends. This blend packs a great amount of flavor. Does not lose much flavor the deeper you smoke the bowl. No tongue bite. Thank you for blend club.

Cornell and Diehl's red virginia cavendish is my favorite blend. I recently found out it was used as the base for autumn evening, which I haven't yet tried, and ordered a tin that'll be here this Friday. I'm going to wait until it gets here to watch this video.
I do not think "mild" when smoking this blend, it's on the stronger side for an aromatic. Room note pleasant? Nah, again it's on the stronger side. The tin note is more pleasant than the room or smoking note.
@@@@ This is worth trying.It smells strong out the bag but with a sweet aroma.Burns slow and hardly have to relight.Has a smooth taste with no bite.Had this in a jar for over 3 months and it seems to age well and gets better.Thanks and another great review.

There is nothing more that I like than sitting in the living room on a chilly evening and putting some of this in my pipe with a good book. It's a light aromatic blend that is very sweet and pleasant. It reminds me of nights spent in front of the fire. A very good tobacco for beginners and an enjoyable smoke for experts and seasoned pipers. One of my all time favorites.

🥞🥞🥞🥞. I wouldn't be much of a Canadian if I didn't like maple! The name of this tobacco suits it perfectly.. A warm sweet and quiet smoke befitting the best season when the days are shorter, the air gets crisp, evenings are quieter and the colours change.

So beginner pipe smoker here.
#1 I wouldn't recommend this to someone like me. However I would say for the most part it is accurate. Tin note is pleasant. I get a maple or liquor maple. Room note to me is tolerable.
Taste.... the maple doesn't come through! There were moments where maybe just a hint of maple come though. Was easy to keep lit (my tin came dry). Nice color. Fine and shaggy cut.
Maybe I should let it sit and age for a bit. So if you are a beginner like me... I would recommend putting it in a jar and letting it set a few months like he did. This was a great tobacco to learn packing your pipe and light and keep lit though!

I picked up a tin a few months ago. I'm generally not a fan of aromatic tobaccos but this wasn't too bad but a bit strong for me...too much maple.
My two favorite go-to C&D tobaccos are Epiphany and Gentlemen Caller.

I'm new to pipe smoking. So far this is the only one that has not given me any tongue bite. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I tried mac baren scottish blend. That was a little bitey. Captain black I like the dark. But that tongue bite can be bad if you're not careful

Eeeewwwww. Don’t get me wrong, I like aromatics. But this one was awful. It came very dry in the tin, so much so that I had to rehydrate it a bit before smoking. The toppings are very artificial, both in smell and in taste. It smoked really hot, even when treated with a gentle cadence. All I could taste was sickly sweet, artificial flavors, and burley. I have only thrown out tobacco twice in my life, and this was one of them.

I know I'm late to this, but I really wanted to give this another try. And I'm glad I did. I picked up a tin in January and loaded my Cob, at that time I really wasn't too fond of it. I figured it would be an "every now and then" blend on the shelf. Been smoking this in my Lorenzo 740 the last month. As for the aroma, I get pure pancakes. I have a Vanilla Maple sweetness throughout. I also get the Virginias and a slight spice off and on. The last 8 bowls have been spectacular, and I plan on ordering more soon. SO, thank you Muttnchop's Blend Club for sparking my interest and getting me to pull this off the shelf!!

It stayed lit very well in my Briarville Premium Pipe and had no tongue bite. I enjoyed the maple and vanilla. This is my favorite Aromatic to date and I’ll be keeping this in my rotation. I agree with you as seeing this as a desert tobacco and goes well after a meal.
I found it to be very smooth, no bite or hardness at all. I don’t find it overly sweet but very pleasant. I don’t do overly bold tobacco. This one is definitely going in my tobacco rotation!

💥💥💥💥 enjoyed this smoke. It came a little dry. I have been smoking pipes around 4 months. I am not sure if I did right but I dripped a little water in my mason jar and let it set for a few days. I feels better now. Smells great in the jar and smokes very mild and light. Love the room note. My wife liked the smell too. One of my new favorites. I did notice that as you smoke it down, it ends up with a stronger harsher taste. Not to much though. I noticed this more than other tobacco's I've tried.

☠️☠️☠️☠️I do love this blend. My pallet is still new and unfortunately two years ago after catching Covid from the first strain, I was in a bad way. That single episode has pretty much destroyed my smell and taste but since. Happily, things have gotten better in the last year however I did and sometimes still do suffer from Parosmia which is essentially a phantom smell and/or taste when eating something that used to be familiar. At first when this came about I could not drink coffee as it tasted like a mixture of rotten chemicals. Thank you the Lord of hosts that is no longer the case. I have actually created a dessert cocktail (since were talking about dessert wine). I take C&D Green River vanilla but it can be practically a simple syrup. When mixed with 1/4 Green River vanilla and 3/4 autumn evening, this is so far become my favorite concoction my “Pirates blend.”

Very strong, pleasant smell. Flavor is toasty, nutty, mapley, and occasionally vanilla. Stronger nicotine than I expected, but not too much. Tasty blend.
⭐️⭐️ I was excited to try this tobacco, for a couple of reasons really, primarily because it’s the first one I’ve participated in for Blend Club. I was also excited because I have a sweet tooth, and according to the reviews I read on it, maple syrup, waffles, caramel and vanilla are right up my alley!
When I placed my order for it, I was wanting to buy it in bulk, but all of the bulk was sold out (on numerous sites), so I had to order a tin of it. Not a big deal, so I placed the order. Finally the mail came and I had my prize! Upon opening the tin, I was greeted by the wonderful smells I had been anticipating, and the excitement continued to build. The tobacco seemed a little dry to me, but I packed up a pipe, and lit it up anyhow. However, once I started smoking it, I quickly became disappointed. I caught the taste of the syrup and vanilla and caramel I’d been looking forward to, but they seemed faint. Instead, I was greeted heavily by, of all things, BLACK PEPPER! 🤔 I thought that maybe I’d eaten something earlier that caused a bad taste to linger, or perhaps it needed to be smoked from a different pipe, so I tried finishing most of the bowl, and thought I’d give it another go later. Ultimately, it didn’t change. In the end, I tried two other pipes, and made sure I hadn’t eaten anything odd, but I still got the same black pepper taste. After three attempts, I figured that it just wasn’t going to work for me, so I have to give it two stars from my perspective. Before I write this blend off completely, I’d like to get some in bulk, just to see if maybe it has a little more moisture, and perhaps the taste will be better. Until then, the batch of Autumn Evening I have will continue to age in its jar.
5/5 I absolutely love it! Every time I open my jar my daughter says it smells like opening a box of raisins. I usually don't have the patience to dry it out, and it doesn't do too badly staying lit. Very light, mellow smoke. Excellent room note.

🍁🍁🍁🍁 only tried once but I think the red Virginia cavendish was used nicely. Where the topping diminishes,the red Virginia lends a hand. Also reminds me of the maple Greek yogurt I have for breakfast.
🐵🐵🐵 I haven't been a fan of C&D's aromatics, I find them bland. But this one is pretty good. There's more of that casing flavor than you get from others and the tobacco has some nice flavor to it. Now this isn't my favorite but I think I'll cellar the rest and try it later down the road to see if those virginias pop
👍👍👍👍 I give this blend high marks for it's excellent aromatic quality. To me it doesn't have a whole lot of flavors outside of good quality tobacco, a very slight sweet maple syrup note, but it more than makes up for that in it's smoothness and fantastic French Toast with maple syrup smell. Makes me hungry for breakfast! This one is definitely worth a try!
:( - I tried to give this blend a go, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Good room note. I could taste the vanilla, but the maple did not come through in the bowl. I found an aftertaste that wasn't agreeable. I know a lot of people love this blend, but it wasn't for me.

Muttonchop, what are your thoughts on cellaring tobacco (specifically rope) in a vacuum seal bag? I drew out enough air for a light "squeeze" and sealed early enough not to get a full vacuum.

Just picked this up today and had an amazing smoke by a campfire, its safe to say I'm absoluetly in love with this blend, and the maple topping suits my Canadian tastes just perfectly!
The guys at Cornell and Deihl said this blend is their most difficult to make blend. I don't care for aromatics in general, but this one is my very favorite aro. Very nice tobacco.

The tin note reminds me of the caramel popcorn and candy shop at the mall. The smell in the air when you walk by that place.
The flavor lives up rather well to that tin note. I usually have a hard time enjoying Maple blends but this one has some variety with the caramel and vanilla notes.
I just smoked my first bowl of this the other day. Love it! I plan on mixing it with some other blends to add sweetness.

4.85 🍁's. I tried it for the first time two nights ago in my bent billiard meerschaum, and I was nothing short of impressed. I forget what tobacco I said was my second favorite after 1Q, but this takes that spot for sure! The maple and vanilla notes are strong without being cloying or chemical in taste, and the delectable flavor combination brings back memories of my paternal grandmother making huge batches of waffles whenever my younger brother and I would spend weekends over at her condo on the Indian River in Melbourne, Florida. About 10 minutes into the smoke, I began to notice a pleasant caramel note complimenting the other flavors of the tobacco, and this persisted for the remainder of the smoke. This blend is nothing short of ambrosial, and I wish I had tried it in my MacArthur so I could have enjoyed a longer smoke.

5 Stars, smoking a 4 year old jar and its very smooth, the maple is strong, not as much vanilla. It's sweet but no tongue bite. The Virginia is a bit stronger but in a good way.As it burns down the Virginians come out in front. But again im smoking a 4 year old jarred batch. :) :) :) :) :)
