The first time I tried this, I found it very disappointing. The small of the tobacco made me crave ice cream, or an irish coffee, or something like that, as a result the flavor of the tobacco did not live up to my sensory expectations. The second time I tried it, I dried it out for about 40 minutes before hand, which I almost never do. I enjoyed the tobacco much more. It was smooth, sweet, and delicious, and reminded me of a vanilla malt. Not something I think I'll smoke again, but quite nice.
Forgive my amateur review on the tobacco, I’ve only been smoking a few months. I have been trying so many different types to see what I gravitate to. Here goes…💨💨💨💨 I was really drawn to this tobacco because of how much you have mentioned it in the past as well as the description. The Irish cream really intrigued me. I love how smooth and soft this is. For some reason the word soft keeps coming to mind in describing it, however, not lacking flavor. I was surprised at how easy it was to stay lit too. My palate isn’t quite refined yet, but I can tell there’s a lot going on. I was about 5 minutes into smoking this and already knew I could smoke it all just as you said. As a new pipe smoker I’m happy to have found a tobacco that I really love. This is the very first one I’ve smoked that I know I’ll make sure to always have a tin in my collection

🤢/5 no thank you I would recommend this if you enjoy aromatics but I got nothing but hot smoke and no flavor, might as well just light a candle. Smells great in the bag provided but otherwise I have nothing really good to say about this blend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eileen’s Dream has been one of my favorite blends since I have started smoking. It is velvety, sweet, and is a great dessert smoke like Muttnchop said. I personally taste the vanilla and Irish cream more than anything, but it is still a complex flavor.
🤔🧠👍🏻❤️ definitely one of my favorite aromatic blinds. COA aromatics are my preference with Eileen‘s dream and Black being being my favorites. The lack of burly in their blends is also a plus!
I know this is an old review, but I just bought my first tin at a B&M store, sadly overpriced then what Pipes and Cigars has it for, I give it equally a four 🎉🎉🎉🎉, very succulent room notes, and a nice burst of flavors
👽👽👽👽 This is a sweet velvety all day aromatic smoke. Not only do I get a vanilla and chocolate note but in the back I feel there is a sweet tropical 🌴 fruit flavor that that pairs perfectly with the other flavors.
😇😇😇😇😇 CAO Eileen’s Dream is my go to; I smoke the cigars but have wanted to try pipe smoking. The chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and Irish cream come through more than most cigars (that I’ve tried). Close second is the Toscanello Cioccolato.
🤠🤠🤠🤠 This is a really nice blend that you can't go wrong with. Have you tried the CAO Moontrance? I really like it too but I think I prefer in the cigarillo version.
☘☘☘☘ Many aromatics are drenched in casings that don't match well with the low quality tobacco they're made with. This, however, is the complete opposite, an aromatic with the same high grade tobacco in a premium English blend like a Plum Pudding or Maltese Falcon or a fine cigar like a Padron or Rocky Patel combined with toppings that pair with the tobaccos like apple pie & vanilla ice cream.
What a huge disappointment! This stuff has a powerful tin note, but absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Like smoking hot air. I can't say it tastes bad, as it has absolutely NO taste at all! Perhaps the blend has been jiggered with in the past five years. 0 out of 5!
Hello, I want an opion of yours. Do you a get strong aroma of rasberry amongst the myriad of flavors and aromas? I get both flavor and aroma of rasberry and do you believe it's a combination of the black Cavendish with others. I believe the black Cavendish is responsible for much of it that's combined with the others just right.
Hi mutton chop, I'm new to pipe smoking. I started with cornell and diehls apricots and cream. I always assumed that aromatics meant that it smelled good. Mine is very much tobacco smelling. Is it just cuz I'm new to this or am I not doing it right or what? Thanks

I’m just getting into pipe smoking, but I’d give it a 5/5, DEFINITELY would order again. I was smoking it last night on my porch enjoying the moonlight, and just kept thinking “everything about this blend is so incredibly enjoyable.” Love it.
💂💂💂💂 I'm not drawn too aromatics overall as I'm typically disappointed them. However, I strive to keep two or so in my rotation and this one has found a spot. Unlike many other aromatics, the blend does not depend on the topping/flavoring for flavor. The cigar leaf and Virginas are a dependable base and the flavorings give it complexity. Muttnchop's description of the taste as a "vanilla latte" fits very well, though notes of chocolate and nuts peak through. Wonderful blend.
😊😊😊😊 Tin note - heavenly scent of vanilla carmel, chocolate. Cut - rough ribbon. Moisture - somewhat moist and may need some dry time. Light - some relights but burns well. Taste - cocoa, chocolate, semi sweet. Nice flavor from top to bottom of the bowl. Nic - light to none. Overall a great dessert blend and great with coffee. One of the best next to CAO Black.
😁😁😁 This blend at first I did not like, the first two or three smokes I had detected almost no flavor. As I smoked it more I began to detect the sweet flavors and I slowly began liking it. I give it 3/5 because it took me so long to actually enjoy. End note: I have followed Mutton for quite sometime but this is my first time participating in blend club and I quite enjoyed it.
:-):-):-):-) I give it a 4. It is my favorite aromatic, and I find myself more of a non aromatic smoker. It is smooth, creamy, and sweat. However, like most aromatics do for me, it looses the flavor 2/3 into the bowl.
🙂🙂🙂 - this is between 3-4 out of 5. This is a pleasant aromatic, and i agree with muttnchop, the flavor changes throughout the bowl. I had no idea until now that the blend had cigar leaf in it. In the tin, you can smell irish cream, a touch of cocoa and white chocolate, and an almost leathery aroma. In the smoke, i taste a bit of a combination of those smells. The tobacco flavor is mild, and now that i know there's cigar leaf in it, that could explain some of the flavor as well. Mouth feel is quite creamy. Overall, this is a good aromatic, though i don't find myself reaching for it as often as others.

I relatively knew to pipe smoking and have tried loads of aros and can barely taste anything! People keep recommending blends and I keep finding them meh!

Its called an American by TobaccoReviews.com. Its lighter than a full English. One of the great things about pipe tobacco is the search for that perfect blend that suits you. If you happen to be in an area with a tobacconist, they will often let you try a bowl. Good luck

I purchased a tin of Eileen's Dream. It was excellent! But too Rich for my blood. At the moment I'm smoking Escudos Navy De Luxe. I've become more of a civilized pipe smoker and now enjoy the English aromas and flavors of the English matches.

Today I stopped in at the local Puff-n-Snuff for a can of Copenhagen Wintergreen, but decided to check out the lack luster pipe area. Too my surprise this and CAO Bella Vanilla were on the shelf (The only tin pipe tobacco they had), along with the usual Sir Walter, Captain Black, ect. Anyhow, I bought the Eileen’s Dream and gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and your review is right on spot. It’s a very mild, but complex aromatic. After I smoked a pipe of it, I started to wonder if Muttnchop had a review for it and here I am now. I give this tobacco a 4 out of 5. Very impressed and happily surprised my local store had this.

😬😬😬😬/5 Tendency to smoke wet and hot, losing all flavour. Some drying time and patient puffing to ensure a cool smoke will be rewarded though, and any company will be sure to comment on the sweet room note.

💨💨💨💨💨 I love this tobacco. I’ve only been smoking for about 4 months but this is my go to. I’ve got a 4 ounce jar full of this and plan to keep it around constantly as my go to tobacco. Muttonchop nailed it when he said it’s a complex taste. You get a bunch of great flavors in this smoke. It is definitely a little on the moist side out of the tin it dries up if you just leave it sit out for about an hour. Highly recommend.
🐗🐗 2 out of 5. I am clearly not a fan of aromatics. This tasted far too "artificial" to me and I could not taste anything but the irish cream - the tobacco taste was faint to non-existant. I found that about halfway through the bowl the top flavour would wear off but the tobacco flavour would not take its place and it was more like puffing hot air.
😋😋😋 3 out of 5 for me on this one. I do like aromatics but I find that this one lacks flavor if you smoke it fresh. If you cellar it and let it dry out a bit the flavor comes out more. I definitely get that sweet cream and chocolate with just a hint of coffee initially. Towards the bottom of the bowl the chocolate and coffee fades out leaving the creaminess and I start picking up sone fruitiness like oranges and berries which is probably from the natural flavors of the tobacco itself as the casing wears off. I do get an ever so slight nicotine hit but it is barely noticeable. Not my favorite aromatic. Best to let it dry out a bit and age a few months.
After enjoying the tin aroma I set some out to dry. After picking out these bits of hard twigs I filled a bowl. It burned hot and as far as flavor... A little vanilla at the start...no nic. detected... Then nothing really detected...You want a everyday aromatic that tastes as good as it smells for a everyday smoke...try, "Officers Club". After several tins and over several years, that wonderful experience stays constant! John
$$$$ Excellent room note, agree about the complexity of the tobacco. I got the vanilla and chocolate flavor right away, then the creamy flavor of the liquor. No tongue bite, easy lighting. This one in my opinion tasted like it smells.

👑👑👑👑👑 5/5 crowns from me, because this (for my palette) is the king of aromatics. I waaay prefer Balkan non-aromatics these days, but I love the complexities and flavors of this one. Would you say it's closer to a Danish aromatic than an American aromatic? It seems that way to me, way closer to something like Danish Gold than it is to, say, Sutliff aromatics. I love its consistency that is somewhere between a ribbon and a crumble cake.
I have got some tins in the way right now. Can’t wait. I’m not a big Aro smoker but have you tried Peterson’s Sunset breeze and connoisseurs choice? They and also macbarren cube silver are my three aromatic smokes that never get old for me. The silver cube had many tastes but is sweet and mild in a way that never gets old to me in the way you describe it like a desert smoke. Anyway. Thanks Mr chop. Looses a little as flavor as it gets close to the end of the bowl. Tin was a little moist at opening but about 15 minutes on my cutting board and it was ready to go.
😀😀😀 I am giving 3 on this. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get more flavor out of it. I will say I really like the aroma, which probably led to some of the disappointment, and I was using a new pipe. I would definitely try it again I think it has good potential.
:) :) i find it bland, and no taste on the pallet at all. It gets a second emoji only because it is pretty good out of the nose but has no flavor and is the typical hot, no-taste smell good aromatic. When I smoke a pipe I want to taste the tobacco and if I want desert I will eat it instead.
The pipe tobacco version of this is WAY better than the cigarellos easily one of the best aromatics out there i always recommend it to new pipe smokers

I just opened a 5 year old ten, never got around to smoking. I give it a 😁😁😁 out of the cao pipe tobacco's so far. The best in my opinion is cao bella vanilla.
🌱🌱🌱🌱 A great smoke! Almost as good as Cult’s ‘Blood Red Moon’. I can truly say I have faith in aromatics again. I also disagree with Muttonchop, I don’t think this blend is very complex; but I think that’s part of the charm. If it is made well with quality ingredients, it doesn’t need to be gussied up. The front note is a vanilla irish cream, and that’s most of the fun of this blend. Thick, creamy smoke with a nice sweet tinge to it. In the background is a note of white chocolate that makes the perfect compliment. This blend goes great with a big glass of milk on a cold night.
😊😊😊 It took until the 3rd bowel for me to get a faint hint of the taste that is very predominate in the room note. I am not much of an aromatic smoker, but this was a pleasant mild blend that could easily be an all day smoke.

🦚🦚🦚 This is growing on me, the first time it was so sweet I felt sickly after about 20 mins. I’m smoking it now tho and so far so good. Exceptionally sweet and gets sweeter as you smoke it. I’m on the fence about it as of today, but it’s good for an aro.

I enjoyed this blend, and there is nothing offensive about it. I must say, however, that I am finding that aromatic blends have little flavor to me. I much prefer an English / Oriental / Baltic blend.

I’m just getting into pipe smoking, but I’d give it a 5/5, DEFINITELY would order again. I was smoking it last night on my porch enjoying the moonlight, and just kept thinking “everything about this blend is so incredibly enjoyable.” Love it.
I bought a tin of it. I taste chocolate more in it. But seems like the taste fades away. That's just me. Smells great
💂💂💂💂 I'm not drawn too aromatics overall as I'm typically disappointed them. However, I strive to keep two or so in my rotation and this one has found a spot. Unlike many other aromatics, the blend does not depend on the topping/flavoring for flavor. The cigar leaf and Virginas are a dependable base and the flavorings give it complexity. Muttnchop's description of the taste as a "vanilla latte" fits very well, though notes of chocolate and nuts peak through. Wonderful blend.
😊😊😊😊 Tin note - heavenly scent of vanilla carmel, chocolate. Cut - rough ribbon. Moisture - somewhat moist and may need some dry time. Light - some relights but burns well. Taste - cocoa, chocolate, semi sweet. Nice flavor from top to bottom of the bowl. Nic - light to none. Overall a great dessert blend and great with coffee. One of the best next to CAO Black.

This blend at first I did not like, the first two or three smokes I had detected almost no flavor. As I smoked it more I began to detect the sweet flavors and I slowly began liking it. I give it 3/5 because it took me so long to actually enjoy.
End note: I have followed Mutton for quite sometime but this is my first time participating in blend club and I quite enjoyed it.
I agree, if smoked extremely slow you can taste the sweetness better.

I give it a 4. It is my favorite aromatic, and I find myself more of a non aromatic smoker. It is smooth, creamy, and sweat. However, like most aromatics do for me, it looses the flavor 2/3 into the bowl.
🙂🙂🙂 - this is between 3-4 out of 5. This is a pleasant aromatic, and i agree with muttnchop, the flavor changes throughout the bowl. I had no idea until now that the blend had cigar leaf in it. In the tin, you can smell irish cream, a touch of cocoa and white chocolate, and an almost leathery aroma. In the smoke, i taste a bit of a combination of those smells. The tobacco flavor is mild, and now that i know there's cigar leaf in it, that could explain some of the flavor as well. Mouth feel is quite creamy. Overall, this is a good aromatic, though i don't find myself reaching for it as often as others.

This is one of my favorites hands down. One of my go-too's for IPSD. I like it a lot more when smoked through a long churchwarden. Creamy and soothing.

I relatively knew to pipe smoking and have tried loads of aros and can barely taste anything! People keep recommending blends and I keep finding them meh!

Its called an American by TobaccoReviews.com. Its lighter than a full English. One of the great things about pipe tobacco is the search for that perfect blend that suits you. If you happen to be in an area with a tobacconist, they will often let you try a bowl. Good luck

I purchased a tin of Eileen's Dream. It was excellent! But too Rich for my blood. At the moment I'm smoking Escudos Navy De Luxe. I've become more of a civilized pipe smoker and now enjoy the English aromas and flavors of the English matches.

I’m about an hour from Boswells’ Alexandria store. Not too far. But as most of us do, I order a lot online. Today I stopped in at the local Puff-n-Snuff for a can of Copenhagen Wintergreen, but decided to check out the lack luster pipe area. Too my surprise this and CAO Bella Vanilla were on the shelf (The only tin pipe tobacco they had), along with the usual Sir Walter, Captain Black, ect. Anyhow, I bought the Eileen’s Dream and gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and your review is right on spot. It’s a very mild, but complex aromatic. After I smoked a pipe of it, I started to wonder if Muttnchop had a review for it and here I am now.
I give this tobacco a 4 out of 5. Very impressed and happily surprised my local store had this.

😬😬😬😬/5 Tendency to smoke wet and hot, losing all flavour. Some drying time and patient puffing to ensure a cool smoke will be rewarded though, and any company will be sure to comment on the sweet room note.

😁😁😁 A very light, constant, nutty/chocolate flavour smoke. Hold its flavor all the way through the bowl. A bit too light in flavor for my taste. Needs a bit of drying before smoking. The room note is great. This would be a perfect blend for first time pipe smokers

💨💨💨💨💨 I love this tobacco. I’ve only been smoking for about 4 months but this is my go to. I’ve got a 4 ounce jar full of this and plan to keep it around constantly as my go to tobacco. Muttonchop nailed it when he said it’s a complex taste. You get a bunch of great flavors in this smoke. It is definitely a little on the moist side out of the tin it dries up if you just leave it sit out for about an hour. Highly recommend.

I am clearly not a fan of aromatics. This tasted far too "artificial" to me and I could not taste anything but the irish cream - the tobacco taste was faint to non-existant. I found that about halfway through the bowl the top flavour would wear off but the tobacco flavour would not take its place and it was more like puffing hot air.

😋😋😋 3 out of 5 for me on this one. I do like aromatics but I find that this one lacks flavor if you smoke it fresh. If you cellar it and let it dry out a bit the flavor comes out more. I definitely get that sweet cream and chocolate with just a hint of coffee initially. Towards the bottom of the bowl the chocolate and coffee fades out leaving the creaminess and I start picking up sone fruitiness like oranges and berries which is probably from the natural flavors of the tobacco itself as the casing wears off. I do get an ever so slight nicotine hit but it is barely noticeable. Not my favorite aromatic. Best to let it dry out a bit and age a few months.
After enjoying the tin aroma I set some out to dry. After picking out these bits of hard twigs I filled a bowl. It burned hot and as far as flavor... A little vanilla at the start...no nic. detected... Then nothing really detected...You want a everyday aromatic that tastes as good as it smells for a everyday smoke...try, "Officers Club". After several tins and over several years, that wonderful experience stays constant! John

👑👑👑👑👑 5/5 crowns from me, because this (for my palette) is the king of aromatics. I waaay prefer Balkan non-aromatics these days, but I love the complexities and flavors of this one. Would you say it's closer to a Danish aromatic than an American aromatic? It seems that way to me, way closer to something like Danish Gold than it is to, say, Sutliff aromatics. I love its consistency that is somewhere between a ribbon and a crumble cake.

I have got some tins in the way right now. Can’t wait. I’m not a big Aro smoker but have you tried Peterson’s Sunset breeze and connoisseurs choice? They and also macbarren cube silver are my three aromatic smokes that never get old for me. The silver cube had many tastes but is sweet and mild in a way that never gets old to me in the way you describe it like a desert smoke. Anyway. Thanks Mr chop. Looses a little as flavor as it gets close to the end of the bowl. Tin was a little moist at opening but about 15 minutes on my cutting board and it was ready to go.
😀😀😀 I am giving 3 on this. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get more flavor out of it. I will say I really like the aroma, which probably led to some of the disappointment, and I was using a new pipe. I would definitely try it again I think it has good potential.
:) :) i find it bland, and no taste on the pallet at all. It gets a second emoji only because it is pretty good out of the nose but has no flavor and is the typical hot, no-taste smell good aromatic. When I smoke a pipe I want to taste the tobacco and if I want desert I will eat it instead.
The pipe tobacco version of this is WAY better than the cigarellos easily one of the best aromatics out there i always recommend it to new pipe smokers

This one gets 5 starts our of five for aromatics. Don't usually smoke them but this is the best aromatic I've had.
I just opened a 5 year old ten, never got around to smoking. I give it a 😁😁😁 out of the cao pipe tobacco's so far. The best in my opinion is cao bella vanilla.

A great smoke! Almost as good as Cult’s ‘Blood Red Moon’. I can truly say I have faith in aromatics again. I also disagree with Muttonchop, I don’t think this blend is very complex; but I think that’s part of the charm. If it is made well with quality ingredients, it doesn’t need to be gussied up. The front note is a vanilla irish cream, and that’s most of the fun of this blend. Thick, creamy smoke with a nice sweet tinge to it. In the background is a note of white chocolate that makes the perfect compliment. This blend goes great with a big glass of milk on a cold night.
😊😊😊 It took until the 3rd bowel for me to get a faint hint of the taste that is very predominate in the room note. I am not much of an aromatic smoker, but this was a pleasant mild blend that could easily be an all day smoke.

🦚🦚🦚 This is growing on me, the first time it was so sweet I felt sickly after about 20 mins. I’m smoking it now tho and so far so good. Exceptionally sweet and gets sweeter as you smoke it. I’m on the fence about it as of today, but it’s good for an aro.
