I need to try the Old Gowrie. I have only tried 2 Rattray's blends and loved them both. Hal o the Wynd is a very nice Virginia/Perique with some dark fired added. Also, Marlin Flake is amazing. It's a Virginia/Perique with some cavendish for added sweetness. You mentioned you enjoy sweeter tobaccos, you would probably really like Marlin Flake then.
What size jar would you suggest getting to store the 14oz Lane Limited in? I havent gotten anything that big yet and have been using 8oz canning jars so far.
As far as Burley goes I would suggest Mac Baren Golden Extra. It's top shelf leaf. It can burn hot though, but just in the bowl not the smoke. Take care man. Oh and I like the Solani Burley, but the Wessex Burley flake is better in my opinion. Has more molasses than chocolate taste.
I'm a burley lover myself and I like Carter Hall it's mostly burley with a sprinkle of virginia and a very light topping. I know it's not fancy but it tastes good.

There is a company called Zazzle.com they do photos, cell phone covers, just about anything, thy have a huge collection of clip art, so I picked the shirt, the clip art then they made it and sent it to me. 😃😃👍
MrGunnar177, I built my tin rack, but actually my rack holds Ball Canning Jars. It is built out of a substance called Foamcore, you can get it here in the states at Walmart or any hobby stores like Michael's, or Hobby Lobby. The images of the tins I also created. To build the rack I watched a TH-cam video called how to build game box inserts part 1 & 2 and you can find how I made my lid decals by watching another video of mine called "My pipe collection, and daily tobacco rotation. 😄😄👍
hello mr Piper, im a new pipe smoker and i got my first briar pipe. I would like you to give me your opinion about how many days should i let the pipe rest or how many times a day can i light it to smoke but not to ruin my pipe. thank you very much
Klarion, if you only have one, this is what I would do, stone that pipe 3 times in a day, cleaning the mouthpiece and stem with a coupe of pipe cleaners between each bowl. Once your done for the day, let it rest 24 hours, then begin again. 😄😄
+Gentleman Jim yea, that will light you up, I heard that Alister Crowley (the Satan Worshiper) smoked pure Perique dipped in alcohol, I don't think that guy was smoking with a full bowl of tobacco, if you know what I mean.😆😆😆

C.J. Conneally - yeah, that's what I do to, I have to use 2 jars, but I don't have a problem with that, so I say 8 oz. jars are a good choice. 👍👍👍

Thanks mat, you know, I found the reverse, for me the Aged Burley flake had more taste, oh well, looks like a good excuse to compare them again. 😄😄👍

I did it to try to help distinguish flavors. The main blending tobacco I have been informed to stay away from is pure perique.
