That's what got me interested about Ger's Civic. He mentioned about a little story of it and asked me if l can give him a hand to get it running correctly. I never let anybody work on my car either if l can. Man! wish l can share some of the things l've found that l've fixed. Thanks
Love your channel I have alot of questions but going to keep it to 1 or 2 first sleeved 1.8 frankenstien in the making new polished crank balanced arp rod bolts and head bolts. Waiting on funds for CP pistons b16 head ferrea valves super tech dual springs and retainers. My 2 questions what timing belt water pump I have gsr is this right with a LSvtec b16 head.2nd question.should I stay 1.8 or have it bored to I think 84mm 2.0 thanks always a like thanks for all that you do ✌️
Thanks man! It look like your planning on boosting your engine or getting the block ready for it. It's obvious other builders are using B20 coz of much added torque it gives. If you decide to have your block resleeve and use 84mm rather keep it 81mm, you'll pretty much building a B20vtec but using resleeve LS block. Going 84mm will add weight for your p/r speed ratio and if your thinking of reving it pass 7k mark, something you have to consider. But lot of folks never see that an issue reving B20 or lsvtec. I'm guilty myself revving my g23 pass to the point l should not be. You can't really go wrong if going 81 or 84mm, its part of building a frankeinstein motor. If torque what your after, go 84mm and added hp on top of that also.
You'll use GSR waterpump and slso timing belt together w/ gsr crankshaft tb pulley. If you like the Blue Gates for a bit issurance but make sure you get a genuine Gates blue belt. I've use a regular Gates TB on my g23 turbo and na setup w/ no problem. Its all up to you w/c belt you like. I assume you'll be using forged rod on cp piston you've mentioned.
