“bro come to the car meet and i’ll flash your ecu” is some proper fast and furious shit haha
On older cars i do it too if they have good battery 😂
on my car a fellow forum member he did it remotely. I had the laptop connected to the obd port and he used teamviewer to connect to my laptop and do the coding.
This is how we did it back in the day with Hondas on Crome
Peak SoCal car culture though fr...
sounds like youre dealing drugs
The production quality of this channel beats most big budget car shows. The attention to detail, the professionality, the cinematography, the lot.
I can’t get enough of it!
Thank you!
Well he is a visual artist since years with his photography channel so no wonder he does things the right way :))
you should checkout his photography channel 🤝
@@wheelemverbgive the guy that recorded at 21:26 a raise 😂 that bit was genius
Super impressive. 100% agree with nokbeen! This build is beautiful man - way to do it justice with this video 🤙🏼
The footage tracking behind the car towards the end is the best stock volvo footage i've ever seen omg
Very true , better than a Volvo advert , you know , i’d buy one today if they still made them , timeless classics, I’ve had Volvos in the family for over 30 years , my favourite was the V70 Classic , I’m an old dude now and the wife’s fed up with my Volvo workhorses.. so sadly 😢 I’ve got a jag-waaa
And opposed to fixing the left numberplate light, they disabled the right one as well for a better shot. Nice.
Been following this series since the start and I gotta say, this is the most entertaining videos you can watch on TH-cam as a whole! Really love the build and I’m really looking forward to seeing what new projects you have waiting for us to see! Greetings from a v70-owner from Sweden 🇸🇪
V70R Ägare från Sverige här med !!
Önskar fan att jag var en ägare av en V70R också 😭😭😭😭
Just discovered it! Have to go to the start.👍
And I just stumbled on his channel I'm subbing and I'm binging the series
Those cinematic rollers gave me chills. This channel has it all
Cool Volvo’s, good info, great camera work, and you’re great to watch.
Seriously one of the best channels on TH-cam
literally chills here too, you already said it.
Never had this level of mixed emotions before, to be both this happy and sad that this project has been completed. Absolutely unbelievable job, what a guy, what a car!
There will be a couple more videos on it :’)
I rarely comment on TH-cam, but in this case, I’d like to express my appreciation for your videos. I’m a European guy that has been in love with Volvo’s, especially the R models, since I was a 5 year old. My dad always had Volvo’s, never the R though, but I fixed that myself and have a nice 850R I cherish. Now here’s why I appreciate you and your videos: You love the car for what it is. All mods you do, is more like a polish of what is already a very enjoyable roadcar, instead of modding with the more is better kind of approach. You are not changing it to an poor driving, unreliable HP monster or “racecar for the road because the R should be faster”. I believe you are doing it right. But I guess you knew this already because when you take a testdrive afterwards you look like a little boy on Christmas morning. Have fun with your special Swedish special car, keep it nice and enjoy it as a true classic car later on in life too that will only gain value and rarity if you keep it clean. Also, I don’t know if you did anything to strengthen the cilinders, but be careful you don’t crack those walls and it will serve you well for years.
8:39 i'm not 100% sure but, i think you need to change the ball and arm as well. Not just the cables. edit: no bueno on putting a bolt, it needs to be able to move on that ball. Call a dealership for Volvo and ask them for the proper ball - and ... cables.
Also, never over tighten your bleed screws. You only want to snug them because of several reasons, but the two most important.
1. you'll damage the seal surface
2. you'll never get them off once corrosion sets in - and it always does.
For sure, I thought "sweet, just get a new ball end for it" but instead the drill came out!
Too late now he would need to get new shifter cables because he drilled straight through them
@@Itz_Joe_Herehe got 3 cables so all he need is a new ball bolt
No fancy shop, no super cars..floor jack and jack stands and good old fashioned work
Shoutout to whoever shot and edited those rolling shots 🔥 they were the cherry on the cake of this "finale" episode, congrats!
Yeah it almost looked like an old Volvo commercial film
Never tighten those bleed screws that hard as you did in 14:25. You're only supposed to tighten them just a tiny bit, so they don't come loose or bleed, they will otherwise become a problem. I've changed hundreds of these bleed screws in casr, for being overtightened and then rusting out. Otherwise, a great video, watched a bit fast, but im a huge fan in this v70r series. Keep up the amazing videos, youre going to go far with your vids. I'll remember these times when you're in a big shop creating beautiful cars after cars.
His tightening of everything is scary. Scary we share the road with cars like this… It’s not just himself he will kill when a critical brake or suspension fastener fails…
@@froggy0162 🤨
@@froggy0162 bruh, so many channels do "tight" spec ... maybe you seen mad max too many times xD
@@froggy0162Jealousy is a helluva drug!
@@froggy0162 Froggy Dude- This guy might be green but he is not the problem- like he checks his tire pressure for instance, he puts brake pads on his brakes, he stops at stop signs, he buys new tires, he as far as I can tell is not looking at his phone when he drives, he is not geeked out on meth or whatever. Stuff like that. I am NOT afraid of this guy...
11:45 - I'm pissed...
This has become my favorite youtube series of late and have enjoyed the build a ton. It's really the first car build I've ever really watched. I've always liked cars, but didn't know much about them, but this has taught me a lot about cars and is starting to inspire me to try and tackle some of my own projects.
I've only owned one car in my life for 6 years now. I own a 2008 Ford Taurus and it is obviously and old persons car, but I love it, and so do the people that ride in it. It has 200k miles on it and I keep it in really nice condtion. This series has inspired to simply just take car of my car beyond what I normally do to hopefully get another 100k miles out of it!
Can't wait to see the next project!
Holy hell man. I'm speechless. This is your first video that I watch. Just wow! Congrats on everything. Amazing car.
The car looks and sounds incredible and I love your production quality in this. The driving shots at the end literally look better than Volvo's own marketing material for the V70. So good!
Congrats from a Honda guy from Indy. Really, really happy for you and to say I enjoyed your series is to understate how much pleasure I received by following your journey.
Looking forward to the next one.
one of the best car build series of all time tbh
Yep, then theres one car from mercedes from same era, w124 500e amg :D But the Volvo 850 T5-R is the legend
I like the videos before watching, that's how much I love this series
Alex is a good guy! He brought me into the tuning scene for P2R's. We teach eacher new stuff almost everyday! If anyone deserves a shout out its diffidently him!
Cool dude. Helped me also with understanding tuning as well as another dude named Devon unless that's you. I have a pretty good base understanding of how me7 works but that guy is miles ahead.
@@OnShouldersOfGiants That would be me lol.
Wow, amazing! How skillful and knowledgeable you are. I love my 2014 V70. Many thanks from UK
I absolutely LOVE this series, I started following a while ago for photography, but cars are right up my alley as well. Love the channel, keep doing this!
I happened to find your channel just before this project…….dont sell yourself short on your skill set! You just tackled a huge project, and did an awesome job. I worked on older stuff with my dad (like 850 Volvos) when I was growing up, your videos brought back a lot of memories even though you’re working on a newer car. Thanks for the great series!
Right! I can’t imagine this being easy. He definitely has skills.
Awesome, have you worked on T5-R too? One of the most legendary cars from its era, some say that the car had "cult reputation/cult following" because it was so nice car
I wish. I only saw one of those and it was a beautiful shade of purple. Very cool cars, but not many of them made it to the midwest part of the US.
I can't believe it's already over!
I also can't believe how well that sounds!
The coil-overs make the whole affair look so much better as well. Really suits the whole R-spec! Top shelf!
Agree - your production quality & descriptions - upfront about errors made are up there with the best on TH-cam. Please keep it up. Looking forward to you finishing anw will follow your next one. Kudos!
Pro tip: If you let the tubing from the caliper into your drain bottle go all the way to to bottom of the bottle. You'll create a check valve of sorts for air. So you can bleed the brakes yourself by pumping the brakes and leaving the hose end submerged in the fluid. It will keep air from going back into the tube.
Been wrenching on my P2VR now for about 8 years. Being in Toronto, I am so jealous of how clean and rust free the underside of your R is. Great channel, keep up the good work!
Fellow toronto person here... a whole 'nother level of clean underside. I was shocked... where's the ten minutes of cleaning off the bolts and wrestling with it to get it un seized?!?!?
Congrats brother, I had an '04 S80 as a teenager and I miss it very much. This whole series was very nostalgic for me!
The quality, tempo and presenting is absolutely on the highest level in my opinion! I love the car and the modifications to it. Watching you build that car is insanely enjoyable I'm staying till the end of this build
The production quality on these videos are crazy, keep up the good work man!
Loved how excited you were when everything started coming together and the cinematography towards the end was wonderful - really a satisfying ending to the project :)
The V70 has always looked phenomenal and still holds up very well. Nice to see someone have a good time with it. I might however like the 850 T-5R a tiny bit more in its delivery yellow to be one of the most badass volvos :)
Love the build and the video. Congrats on pushing yourself!
omg been waiting for this video for the past week. I love so much your content ! Keep it up
Now you’re just missing “my kid is an honor student” and “baby on board” stickers to complete the sleeper aesthetic.
Wake up babe WheelemVerb uploaded.
Such a great series, beautiful camera work! Congrats on the build. Looking forward to the next one.
Congratulations on the completion!! Great video.
its a good day when wheelemverb announces a new project
Amen❤❤❤❤
Kids are getting a 26 min reprieve from bedtime
Go get em champ, love the V70
Fantastic!! Congratulations, Willem!
I watched your whole series, can’t wait to watch your channel grow with the amazing content you put out. Incredibly inspiring ❤️🔥
hands down best V70R Project on youtube!!
damn i want one know!
// from sweden
Oh no you don't. You've got that R bumper to respray before anything.
21:32 - Sheesh, panning shots with THAT song I've listened thru all of these episodes. I'm happy you delivered the final product and the Lolvo haven't ended at the junkyard.
I’ve been watching this build since day one and I can definitely say that I am truly impressed and so happy to see that your project finally came together in a culmination that was completely deserved. it’s pretty impressive that this was your first project of this level of intensity, but you also made it into some incredible content, on a platform that is actually rarely built. Great job!!
No more videos? you were doing great. At least provide an update
My main channel “willem verbeeck” is my full time job. I unfortunately cannot afford to spend all my time making these car videos yet but there will be more in the future :)
Man I love this video it's so relaxing to watch. The trial & error & diagnosing is also very informative. Over 10 years ago I also had one of these (well, an S60 and not an R though but it was a turbo 5 c yl) and it's the most comfortable and reliable cruiser I had.
Really enjoyed this, great work - I always loved this rapid Volvos!
What a great channel! You are building my dream car! Turbo, manual, awd, and wagon! This thing sounds so good too! Currently my favorite series on TH-cam right now!
Amazing project so far and nice merchandise. I'm stoked to see your next project car brother🤌
The colors on that footage, the whole project, your channel, just pure perfection. I saw that you uploaded on my phone, and wanted to watch you on a big screen! Way to go mate! What a series!
Well done mate. Have thoroughly enjoyed your series and learned so much! The car is sick 🧱💨
keep up the good work, extremely knowledgeable, honest and humble.
So glad I happened to find your channel near the start of the series! It's been such a great journey watching you fix up the old Volvo. I've always loved wagons, and the old V70R's are so incredibly cool. It's so great to see an old machine like that get the love and care it deserves. Great work man.
Been watching the build from the beginning I love the content and the audio quality as well as visual I also love the fact that u take the time to explain the whole process to ppl who might not know a lot about car so from car guy to guy props to u mate 🍻I’m currently working on my 2002 ford f150 extended cab as well
Another mountain of work done bro 💪🏻. The front end looks absolutely amazing. Fantastic work again 👍🏻👍🏻
Been fantastic to follow this series. Well done
this popped up in my recommended and I'm so glad that it did! What a brilliant video, I look forward to going back and catching up on the rest of the series :) keep it up
A great repair and rebuild !! You are a Top Mechanic and i am so happy for you that the swap from automatic to manual was so successful ! Greets from The Netherlands !
Awesome channel, very informative and chill vibes! Love me a good Volvo
the rolling shots are so well done great job!
Amazing video as always, car sounds and looks super cool and those driving shots at the end... immaculate!
totally dig your build, nice work!!
Bruh, love that I found this. Awesome video. Awesome build. Looking forward to seeing your future videos and watching this channel grow. Keep at it. You've got the formula down, now all it takes is time and you're there bro.
Great video! Super entertaining, can’t wait to see what you do in the future!
I love these cars, and you're a cool guy for liking them and taking such good care of them.
Love this Channel. Good decisionmaking when it comes to the parts. Your voice is so calming comparing to a lot of other youtubers. Great Series all in one all. Looking forward to the next Project
Really enjoying your content, thank you and keep it up
Dude, and you have the next project lined up 💯 I’m excited for it
Great job all around with this build, man. You’ve got a great, positive attitude and your editing is on point. You should be very proud. Your hard work paid off. Keep this up and your channel will grow quickly. Looking forward to your next build.
My new favorite channel! Period! Sick project man!
Grats man! That car is so sick
I rarely enjoy youtube so much but you made it great for me. Keep it up man cant wait to see more!
beautifully done
those rolling shots towards the end were just perfection
I am so happy for you. I just recently picked up an 07 s40 2.4i 5spd and I am loving it. Its not much but its such a joy to drive.
Really happy for you!! You did a great job and the car is awesome! I have an s60r manual and I love it too. Enjoy my friend and thanks for the great content you provide. God bless
I barely know anything about cars. But this was awesome to watch! Love the chill vibes with the music and the amazing shots of the car! Just something satisfying about it all together!
Very good work! Congratulations! “Volvo for life!”
Outstanding work brother!! Car looks gorgeous and sounds beaut too. Love the content, looking forward to the next project 🤙

Massive respect for mechanics and car people. You are so knowledgable on it.

Quality content, and lovely project. Keep up the good work bro. Respect from Romania !
hell absolute yeah! enjoy it man, you certainly deserve it!
Nice work dude!! I have a manual swapped 00R. It's the biggest change to these cars one can make.
Espectacular trabajo amigo. Saludos desde Argentina.
Really great car. Thanks for sharing your project.
I’ve followed for a while now, I was iffy on buying my s60R but your video’s persuaded me into it. I’m glad I got my volvo!
You are so happy driving the car. Great to see.
amazing job on this car, congrats!
Such a sweet ride. You do great work. 🤙
