Welder, Fabricator, Painter, Mechanic, Engine Specialist. This guy is amazing. Major respect to you bud for doing everything yourself.
Dont forget the dope video filming and editing !!
My jaw kept dropping as he kept doing new major work himself. Wtf? Then this video.
My car is lucky to get the manager special at the car wash 😅

whoooooahhhh!!! Beautifully one!
How is this humanly possible for one guy to do? I'm speechless
When I saw restoring in the title, I didn’t expect this level of attention to detail. This was very satisfying to watch. Made me miss my old CRX Si even more.
I cannot begin to express the joy I had in watching this video. I used to own one of these Honda's. I purchased one when I lived in LA 1991. When I purchased this car it was just a few years old, but it looked brand, spankin' news. Man, how I loved that car! When I moved back to NY, I drove it across the country in just 4-days!
But, sadly enough, that's when I lost the car. It started with one break in, then another break in, then it was vandalized and I finally just sold it because I didn't want to keep dumping money into repairs and glass replacements. Still, of all the cars that I owned, this one was one of my favorites. So, watching this restoration video was especially enjoyable for me! You do fantastic work, my friend.
Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your old car.
@crxseth Thank you for the sentiment. But thanks, especially for sharing your journey!
I remember when you first got this car. To be honest I thought you’d never finish the full restoration because it needed attention literally everywhere… hats off to you for seeing the project through to the finish. Truly an epic outcome, thank you for sharing🙏
Truly unreal
Thank you. It definitely wasn’t easy to start and finish this but I knew once I got to a certain point, I had to see it through.
This thing is absolutely beautiful would u ever sell it
@@gzimhaliti It’s actually already sold. New owner picks it up tomorrow.
What will you do then?
Just recommended this. So clean. I'm betting it took you just as long to edit the video as it did to restore the entire car 🫡
Almost! 🙏🏻

@samcrac Just realized this comment was from you. I appreciate you stopping by my channel and checking out the CRX restoration!
yo thats crazy i just noticed it was actaully samcrac @@crxseth
lol!!!!
Ne kadar şanslısınız 😊
This is just another level. Not just reviving, but re-engineering the whole car. Epic!
This guy makes me feel so unaccomplished in life lol. Hats of to people who have the skills to pull this kind of restoration off, start to finish. Thanks for sharing your journey Seth. Truly amazing!
Wow, thanks!
This is the most impressive resto I’ve ever seen. So meticulous and patient. Well done mate she’s absolutely stunning
found an 88 CRX in the parts section of craigslist, bought it for $100.00 Towed it home charged up the battery & she fired right up. HANDS DOWN the best 100 dollars i have ever spent. it is a fun little blast from the past that i will never get rid of. awesome video and mind blown on your pro restore, you are the man seth
Lucky mf, but I'm happy you found it that cheap.
There's just something about these late 80s to late 90s Honda's that seems magical. Engineered with such attention to detail, yet simplistic enough to take apart. Every part had a purpose and was designed to be as easy to remove as it is to put on.
That being said, your work and car is gorgeous. A true craftsman and artist.
One of the greatest and cleanest restoration videos I have ever seen on YT. Every single thing was taken care of. Amazing.
Nice job but he did not take the engine apart.
you clearly haven't seen contempo concept restorations then....
@@gallardo20000 no, I may not have. kindly link me to one?
@@zee9276 just TH-cam this: "contempo concept restoration" or "ACH garage restoration" both are much better than this garage restoration.
He skipped the whole bottom of the car.
Also the inside metal wasn't touched.
Well that was the most random suggestion on my front page that I have sat through, completely mesmerized, for half an hour. Incredible work isn't even close to enough praise.
Thanks for watching!
"yeah I just have a honda civic, nothing crazy"
A 36 year old car looking fresh off the showroom floor.
Amazing work!!!!
Not sure if you’ll read this but this restoration is unbelievable! I watched every second of it and could not believe the effort and detail you put into this. I used to have a 1990 CRX Si in black and this brought back so many memories! You are definitely one talented dude! Amazing job!
Thanks for watching! Maybe you'll grab another CRX one day! They are unique cars!
Wowww incroyable from Québec Canada use to ave a brand New 1989 crx si what a car incroyable travail ❤❤❤
What about the underneath of the car ?or did i miss something .
@@georgebodley8068 I didn’t show it on camera. Cleaned all the red dirt off and sprayed undercoating where needed.
@@crxseth thought that might be the case ,great restoration by the way👍
Wow, it came out amazing, not to mention going by the OEM+ route is in my opinion the best way to go when it comes to these 90's cars. Always had a soft spot for these generation of CRX's and Second Generation Eclipses since i was a kid, yet i always remember this gen's CRX everywhere back in highscool.
In my opinion, 90's cars has always had a special charm that hasn't been able to be replicated with today's cars.
Couldn't agree more!
This is 100% satisfying to watch. I used to dream about this car sooooooo much as a kid.
I really hope affiliate links and ads from this video pay for all costs...You ARE AWESOME! What a skill and hard work.
Not only an absolutely insane restoration but what's really special here is that you put this car back on the road for many years to come.
its a brand new 1988
@@vinanoirI legit just said that to myself
@@vinanoir i dont see how thats the case with a new timing belt. sure the body is great. its not a fresh driveline though
@@keirbrown7734"you must be fun at parties" moment :P
@@vinanoir you must talk a lot of shit at parties like this
TH-cam gifted me one of the best restoration videos I've seen in a while. Seeing how rough the condition of CRX was, now to it's current point..? An amazing transformation, It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The editing of this video was spectacular and the B-roll footage at the end was so satisfying. Great work!
The CRX was my first car, boy do I miss it. This video brought back memories of my dad and I working on it. Thank you for putting this video together.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Probably the best little car I ever had. Bought it for 500 bucks, ran the piss out of it like only a teenager can, and kept it for 10 or so years. Dont remember any problems with it. Without its anvil like reliability I would have been walking. Great job Seth.
This may have been one of the best restorations i have watched on TH-cam.
Damn!
The sheer breadth and depth of skill, plus the attention to detail on the small stuff; those OEM tags/stickers/decals.
Epic content! I watched the whole 30 minutes not skipping a beat. As a content creator myself, can't even begin to imagine the size of the raw files you edited the video from.
Kudos, man!
Thanks for the support!
I subbed when I saw the oem stickers❤
In the 90s when I first saw the CRX I thought it looked good, but as time has passed and people like yourself have maintained them, they are truly something special. If I ever could go back I'd make it a point to buy one and learn to fix it (probably while still living at home when the value of money was relative). Great video, work and vehicle.
Wow. Unbelievable. Simply amazing. Only thing missing is aftermarket JDM wheels. I remember in high school that a couple of young pretty boy drug dealers had this car dropped on gold Daytons with the boom in the back. I love to restore old things, especially auto-related, so this was so satisfying to watch!!!
Man I absolutely love seeing golden era Hondas get the love they deserve, great attention to detail all the way through.
Thanks! Modern day classics!
MASTERFULLY done! Wow! You have given this badly neglected JDM icon and new lease on life. Thank you!
The way a restoration should always be done. No half assing! Beautiful job
hold up, a GREAT 30 min video with no sponsors, self promotions, "merch"... is this 2023?
Do those three things bother you?
right below the video it says: sponsored by apple inc. whatever that means
What ruined the video for me is the stupid, sh!tty backround music. Everybody and anybody uses the same sh!tty backround music, and it's annoying
Agr ap licking achi kro ge to wo krne de ge

This is the best restoration video I have ever seen, maybe even best car video period. Going fully oem made it even better. Never cared for CRX, but this made me love it. Mad props for this build and amazing edit! You deserve to have a million subscribers!
Wow, thanks!
true
I can see that the work that was put into this car was beyond what was presented in this 30min video, like the polishing of the paint job and the seats. I should definitely watch the more in depth videos on this, really cool and inspiring
this just guy is amazing.... piece by piece dismantled and refixed ALONE..... just wow
I had a 91 si for a little over 10 years. I drove cross country a couple times in it, and it rarely had issues. This resto is a tribute to hondas of that era, well done!
Subaru guy here. Done this with those. But, I have always had a huge soft spot for the CRXSi and this was an amazing job! I get to see it all in 30 minutes and it was 2 years for you. Looks like a very well done project! My two favorite parts about the build are the stock wheels and near stock ride height retained. And, I love the period looking exhaust. Yes, it is an upgrade per se, but it looks spot on in black!
@ 0:47 I love how your boy just caught the car after you threw it off of the trail rack. Bro forgot he was dealing with a 1.5-ton machine lol.
people that restore cars are living the dream
The stickers are wrong, this beauty is no longer made in Japan, now she has been made in the US 🇺🇸! beautiful work! bravo 👏🏼!
As a loyal honda fan since high school (1996), I really want to thank you for this video. I remember going to a dealership during the first summer after I graduated HS and sitting in a red 1991 CRX. I worked the whole summer trying to make enough money for a down payment that never happened, but I sure wanted a honda. I bought my first Honda in 1999 and that's still my brand after 24 yrs. I feel old remembering this but hey you can't stop time. ❤
Love seeing this. She’s a beauty, classic car. So many kids had this at my high school, glad to see one in this condition. Incredible work bro 🔥
This was very satisfying to watch. Respect to your hard work.
I've done this once. Not many people can say they started and finished a complete restoration man. I did a DelSol. It tried me at every turn. You went above and beyond what I did. Bravo! Came out looking immaculate! Thank you for sharing!
Seems easier before you start doing it!
I’m not even a car guy but this was so satisfying to see the work done and the editing was just as amazing! Awesome video sir!
Fun
Frl shit looks like building Lego’s
Bro, points for fearlessness. You're just yanking everything out
The attention to detail on this restoration was just amazing! Such a sick build. Great job! Sadly you don't see these old Honda's around much anymore.
Not many people will fully appreciate how many endless hours of incredibly hard work went into this car. Very well done! I'd try contact the main Honda company and tell them to check this out!:) I'm sure they'd be proud of your work!
No long speech just an amazing restoration by an artist.
Damn that Honda CRX looks incredible. I wish there was a way for you to freeze the condition of it so it doesn't get scratched over time. It looks incredible. Kudos to your hard work!
this has to be one of the most beautifully done builds! 5 stars to you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I honestly didn’t start my day thinking I would be coveting a Honda CRX.
Job well done! The talent and the patience is inconceivable!
I forgot how much I always wanted a crx before watching this video. Putting this near the top of my bucket list.
Duuuuuude, the amount of work, and the fact that this man is a jack of all trades, so impressed, and so jealous! The car looks amazing!
You are an artist and this is a work of art!
Mad mad props! That end result is sooooooo worth it, and huge W for keeping it mostly stock and preserving what the CRX was meant to be. I hope I can get a CRX one day.
That is a god dang masterpiece brotha. I love old styles restored to modern standard. It really shows that styles were comparable or better than styles now. Personally LOVED the CRV, cute and trunk is very functional.
what an unreal rebuild. absolutely incredible work sir
This is such a love letter and beautiful restoration. My first car was an ‘89 CRX Si and I try to look for a good ‘90-91 every chance I get. I didn’t realize as I got older that I would be so nostalgic about these things and here I am at 35 wishing I could find one again. Thank you for this video - it’s really well done!
Mine was an 85 civic. Absolutely loved that car
RED 1990 CRX-Si $12k NEW 😭
Dying to know if still on the road
I want it back!! (Had to sell, was 1 point away from losing license 😜)
Red early 90's Civics were cop magnets back then.@@practice4617
@practice4617 thats funny i got in so much trouble with mine. It was a 90 but automatic. Still the funnest car ive ever owned. Could take corners at 55 and still had grip. Amazing.
Hands down the beat restoration video I've ever seen. Incredible work. I'm blown away by your attention to even the smallest detail.
Wow, thank you!
No, thank you! I've watched this video at least a dozen times, and pick up something new every time. Your knowledge, skill, and passion absolutely come through in every frame. This should be essential viewing for anyone that is restoring their vehicle. Absolute perfection. Can't wait to see more of your work. Keep it up, sir.
He forgot the whole undercarriage rust…
Honestly man, I wish Soichiro Honda was live today top see the respect you have given this vehicle. Incredible work.
Chef’s kiss! I seen that car and teleported back to the 90’s.
Man I don’t even have words. Absolutely phenomenal. Hopefully the new owner cares for it as much as the love you put into it. Mine is restored but not to this level. Big props to you.
Thank you. I do, too! Lots of hard work went into this one.
My ‘90 was stolen out of my driveway on January 19, 1999 and I’m still hurting all these years later. Thanks for sharing this amazing transformation with us. Incredible work you did here.
So satisfying the restoration, back to it's standard CRX...🎉
This is such an amazing video to watch. I’ve shared it to a whole gang of my friends. Extremely impressed with your craftsmanship. Almost cried seeing how it turned out 🥹🥲 great job, sir 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
Time investment for restoration is mind blowing even before taking all the filming into consideration. Respect 100 percent!
I have seen my fair share of resto mods… this is the most satisfying, relaxing, and (blood, sweat, and tears) restoration I have ever seen. 👏🏼 bravo
Damn, I'm a huge fan of old Japanese cars. And that what you did in this video - it's incredible! I was watching this video with a joy and smile all over my face. Well done bro, well done 👏
Man, you really just made this grown man cry 🥹🥲
Wow, its been a long time coming. I’m enjoyed every episodes throughout the build. Glad you made a 30 minute restoration as a recap to show the unconditional love and sweat you put into this car. The next owner will be very lucky and im certain the car will sell in no time.
Man you inspire all of us to not only motivate us to build our own builds or finish them but also has helped us understand that with time and effort you can take it somewhere 👊🏻
I nearly wept as you installed the timing belt.
Very well done, overall amazing!
This is the most beautiful crx restoration video I've ever seen just incredible. This was my first car freshman year of high school back in early 2000s alot of beautiful high school memories happened in this car. Good ol days will never forget.
These were some SWEET rides. The CRX was an awesome car from Honda. My neighbor had a baby blue one. If I could get my hands on one today, she would be my everyday ride. You did an an amazing job restoring this beauty. Your skills are indescribable. This video was absolutely mesmerizing. The amount of detail you put into the restoration is incredible. Thanks for sharing!!!!!
It was a total pleasure to see this JDM classic properly restored like new. You are one of the few other people I have seen on TH-cam with the skills to do a full restoration like Mad4Motors does. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more JDM classics being restored.
Thank you!
Not JDM, but I agree with the sentiment.
Before everything got big and stupid the CRX was the way. Worth fixing, worth enjoying. One of Honda's best. Ifyou can't have fun in a CRX, you're probably already dead.
This video really shows the countless hours you put into not only restoring the car, but filming and editing as well. So satisfying to watch. Makes me miss my CRX!
This is without a doubt in my mind the best restoration video of a car I've seen on the internet to date. Your love and passion for the vehicle shines through brilliantly at every moment. Thank you for sharing this with us!
This was insanely therapeutic to watch. Thank you
Its amazing what two years worth of an 80's resto will do to your hair color.
I'm much older than you so I remember when these were new on dealer lots. It's amazing how few are left now. Sad, but glad to see you bringing this one back to its former glory. Beautiful restoration.
the dedication and methodical approach to this resto is essentially art. As someone who owned one of these back in the mid 2000's - thank you for doing this and putting all the effort into making a video of it!
AHC Garage level of restoration all done by ... ONE MAN. Mad respect.
Totally mesmerized by your attention to detail. I wish you the best .
You gotta admit, this takes a lot of hardwork and commitment not to mention sacrifice and perseverance. Not a lot of people can finish restoration project! You earned my respect man!
YT reccomended actually giving me one of the best and most thoughtful restorations I’ve ever seen. Very well done my friend I know this had to of spanned probably a year and a few months worth of work, parts ordering, and other things. It’s amazing how much detail and effort you’d put into this. Thank you for sharing the journey with all of us. 💯
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
😊

😊
😊
I drove one of these when they first came out. 130 mph of screaming meanie! Beautiful restoration my friend. 10/10!
Thank you for making me smile. This is how I remember 1988 Hondas looking.
Man this brings me back to my teens. My grandmother used to have a CRX, and I didn't take it when she died because I was too busy screwing around with a Del Sol. This makes me regret not taking it when I had the chance. Great job on this one. Super clean. I'm vicariously living my rebuild dreams through you.
Great job! I watched this series from start to finish. Bought my own CRX in the meantime. You are an inspiration Seth!
Good luck on your project!
Late 1980s and 1990s Hondas are beginning to be hot commodities and the new classic car collectable. Now that I am older and have money I would love to get another 1995 Acura Legend V6 5-speed manual like I had in the early 2000s. Best car I have ever owned and most fun I have ever driven.
Such a masterpiece. Loved it when I had this vehicle. Best car I ever had no issues, always great on gas felt like I would get almost 50 miles per gallon. Was just an amazing car to learn how to drive stick with. Best car a single person could have back then and even now. Wish they would kept making these.
You are correct this vehicle at its prime will give up to 50 miles per gallon unloaded. 🎉
It’s nice to see a clean or unmodified crx and the correct way of restoring a car. Love to see more vids about your crx
This is the nicest CRX I’ve seen. You are meticulous and super talented.. well done bro
painstakingly restored. good job man!
Incredible restoration Seth. I had an immaculate black 1991 Crx Si back in the day and it's the one car that I wish I still had. This video brought back memories of when me and my wife were still dating, and we would do road trips in the "rex". Kudos
Just fabulous how you made it turn into a brand new 1988 CRX! Great job! Love watching this incredible expertise that you possess!
this is the greatest resto I ever watched! i have no other words to describe how satisfied I was watching this!
This is extremely impressive work. I watched and enjoyed every second of this video.
