    Hello! Will my conditional block still work after applying a flow filter?

      Hi brinbag, which conditional block are you referring to? If you're using a dynamic product recommendation or other dynamic content, yes it will still work.

      Hi there, can you tell me more about what you’ve tried? If you have 1, set up the list, 2, Turned off double opt in. 3. Set up the flow connected to the list, and 4. Activated the flow, then each time you add a new email address to the list the welcome series should send.

  • @mitchboom4874

    Hey this was very clear. I only have a question left. I work with a membership and if they sign up to my newsletter how can I after that make a difference between people who bought the membership and people who didn’t bought the membership. So I only targer people for example who still havent bought after the welcomes series. Do you need two lists for that? One list if people bougth the membership and one for the people who still didn’y buy?

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mitch, it depends exactly how you identify membership users, but it will be either a Customer Profile, or an event on their profile. You don't need to have 2 separate lists, but when sending campaigns, use 2 segments, and with flows, you might want to use "Conditional Splits" to have different paths for those who have bought the subscription version of the product.

    I’m giving the discount code automatic on my homepage. Should I still offer another discount code on my welcome flow for future purchases or should I offer the original discount code on my welcome flow? Some people are saying it’s not good practice for the customer to leave the homepage. Thanks

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muela, it's up to you, and you might want to test it yourself to see what causes more short term and long term engagement.
      For our clients, we don't give the code on the homepage, because a) we want to make sure customers don't give fake email addresses just to get the discount and b) we want to give them a positive feeling the first time they open an email from us.
      In the short term, you shouldn't lose the sale by taking them off-site for a second.
      In the long term, having that email address to nurture them (pre-purchase) and drive future repeat sales (post-purchase and winback) will be massive.
      Sorry I know it's not a direct answer, but I hope it helps somewhat.

    Do you guys recommend using a dedicated sending domain or the shared Klaviyo one? 🤔

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex, my general advice is to stick with the shared one. If you have a lage account (say >100,000 subscribers), you might want to consider it. Basically, you need to make sure that you have a very good sending practices and high average open rate to make moving to a dedicated, sending domain worth it. Being on a dedicated sending domain has good benefits but is high-risk. So you need to make sure that you're doing it right.

      @@emailexperts - Thank you. I've taken your advice and went with the shared option just to keep things simple. I love how you can A/B test pretty much everything with Klaviyo.

    thanks for this video! is there any major difference/advantage to using the Welcome Series - Shopify vs the Welcome Series - Standard? If you're using Shopify, is it better to go with the Shopify one, or does it not make a difference?

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sascha, the Shopify one is fine, but this video goes with our popup guide. If you use the one the Klaviyo has with the Shopify icon, just be very careful that the rules are doing what you intend.

    Hello, when using dynamic codes in flows, will klaviyo send a new code (to the same user) when we send them a discount reminder email within one flow? Like in this example used in this video the customer received one discount offer and two reminders, did they receive three separate dynamic codes? If so, is there a way to prevent this? Thank you!

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Ashanté, good news, they will get the same code on all 3 emails! As long as the first code isn't expired, the customer will receive the same code each time. Only if the code is expired will the customer get a new one, Klaviyo checks to make sure the first code hasn't expired before sending it out.

    What trigger or method do you recommend in your welcome series to avoid sending a user both an abandoned cart email and welcome #2 (or welcome #3) email? If someone opts-in and gets the email and adds discount code but doesn't complete checkout, they would inevitably get an abandoned cart email as well as a welcome #2 email so I'm trying to avoid that. Thanks!

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ed, to avoid this you would add a flow filter: Has "started checkout" "zero times" "since starting this flow". Since "Started checkout" is the abandon cart filter, it will stop the welcome series.
