For what I have heard video will convert better than an image in the hero section. It could also be an introduction of the product. Hence, not someone using it or benefitting from the end result.

It doesn't... Keep in mind, what I'm showing here isn't to be taken as a hard and fast layout with all the columns, etc. The thing to take from this is the purpose of each section, and the order of them to give ppl enough info to make an informed decision. That doesn't change from desktop to mobile.
I’m new to this so please excuse my ignorance 😅 I run my own website on Weebly. I’d like to do landing pages to get more traffic to my website. Is a landing page hosted through a different domain than my website? Or is it just a simple page within my website that I pump up with SEO and no menu bad on the top that has a CTA on it? Hi Virginia! Here is a video about what to do if you don't have reviews yet: th-cam.com/video/rSWSXAFv1Gg/w-d-xo.html and this video is all about how to get them th-cam.com/video/4Z8x1RULh1Y/w-d-xo.html
Because a landing page is push marketing from elsewhere i.e. social media and a website page is a pull marketing designed to catch and capture people in your target market out there, largely through SE/Google. It also backs up your credibility and expertise. They have two different functions. If you rely on landing pages alone, you would be missing the business from clients proactively searching for you (or something like your product or service). And you would miss out on word of mouth recommendations when people try to check you out and see reviews etc as landing pages would probably not show well in Google being short and don't say enough to those pull traget markets. Also to do well in GoogleMyBusiness which is vital you need a website for best optimisation. So you need a website :-) I jumped in there Wes! What's your thoughts?
Well your landing page LIVES on your website. Landing pages are great to direct ppl to specific offers, but a business that's just a landing page always feels like its not a real business. Your website's there for direct traffic you drive to it, but also for ppl searching for you, your services and your products. Some ppl need to see more info than others.
@@WesMcDowellInc got it! Thanks! So, do you link the main CTA button of your home page to a landing page or you normally keep them separate and just link to a call button of a form?
im trying to find an autoresponder or and landing page where they except you adding in your own emails. i was in 2 platforms where we build our own emailing list but when i sent out to them my product i was told off by the owner and said to stop or ill be kicked out of his business. all emails are good, not bought.
Too many spammers have abused the list importing process. Virtually none of the email services trust us anymore because of it. There are still some out there that will let you prove it, but even the proof is suspect today. I’ve switched over to hosting my own lists and using services like MailGun to relay it. If you prefer to use services for this, just import your list slowly over time and you can usually stay off their radar.
Hey Wes, useful content as always. Also, I'm not sure why but I tried getting your on-demand masterclass training video from the given link in the description, but never did receive a mail. Hi Wes, so would this type of landing page not be suitable to rank for a service type keyword? Is this only for running paid ads or social traffic to it?
We do this all the time for SEO efforts and it works well. Test it out for yourself. As long as the keyword is a "buyer intent" keyword, it should work well for the desired SEO results, plus you can double it up and use it for your paid campaigns where it makes sense to do so.

Its just the wide average
Thanks for your great info! 😄 do you use Wordpress and elementor to build landing pages?
He uses Wordpress, but I'm also wondering about his ACTUAL landing page, the one for his masterclass, is that elementor?
Hey Nickes - I use WordPress & Elementor for my website and my landing page. 😀👍
@@WesMcDowellInc Thanks so much 😃🙏
@@WesMcDowellInc How much might you consider selling your eliminator template for?
thanks a lot for this value
My pleasure!
Wes, if I have a service based business, why would I want to have a website if a landing page does a much better job at getting new leads?
So you need a website :-)
I jumped in there Wes!
The main CTA on my home page goes to my paid offer when that is available and the rest of the time to a landing page for my free lead magnet.
@@WesMcDowellInc thank you Wes, I appreciate it!
im trying to find an autoresponder or and landing page where they except you adding in your own emails. i was in 2 platforms where we build our own emailing list but when i sent out to them my product i was told off by the owner and said to stop or ill be kicked out of his business. all emails are good, not bought.
Excellent!
Many thanks! 👍
@WesMcDowellInc Would love a variant of this video for mobile!
Hey Wes, useful content as always. Also, I'm not sure why but I tried getting your on-demand masterclass training video from the given link in the description, but never did receive a mail. Have checked spam and waited over 30 mins for both times before commenting here. Just thought you should know, in case there's a technical glitch!
Hey SJ, drop your email so I can take a look at our system. Thanks!
Just wow. Subscribed.
Wes, what if you are a small business owner and you dont have social proof but youre trying to get email signups
Try to offer them something they want via a great lead magnet. Also if you don't have reviews yet, then Here is a video about what to do if you don't have reviews yet, then check out this video th-cam.com/video/rSWSXAFv1Gg/w-d-xo.html and here is a video all about how to get them th-cam.com/video/4Z8x1RULh1Y/w-d-xo.html
Super useful!
What software do you use for the landing page?
anything, this isn't about the software, its just about the formula.
Thanks, this helps
Glad it helped
Hi Wes, so would this type of landing page not be suitable to rank for a service type keyword? Is this only for running paid ads or social traffic to it?
We do this all the time for SEO efforts and it works well. Test it out for yourself. As long as the keyword is a "buyer intent" keyword, it should work well for the desired SEO results, plus you can double it up and use it for your paid campaigns where it makes sense to do so.
@@theweblabhi, thank you for this reply. Makes total sense when I hear it from another 👍👍
