I wear this aquaracer as a daily beater for over 15 years. It’s a good strong watch. I’ve changed the bracelet to leather strap also changed battery 3 times. It’s a diver fairly strong & lum is bright. Definitely a good watch.
Very nice review and agree with your opinion on quartz movements. I purchased my first TAG Heuer three months ago and could not be happier. It was the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date. I’m now considering the TAG Heuer is proud to unveil the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph X Oracle Red Bull Racing, a limited edition timepiece celebrating the 20th anniversary of an iconic racing team.
I don’t care what the watch snobs say, Tag has made many beautiful pieces. I buy them for that reason, not because of the celebrity endorsers. In fact my first watch purchase was an unpopular Aquaracer calibre S chronograph - still one of my favorites.
Honestly I think TAG has some really nice pieces, they are just rediculously overpriced if you have to pay full retail. On the pre-owned market or with a significant discount they are excellent buys :)
I have really enjoyed your reviews on these Aquaracer models. I have been looking at watches for a long time and seem to always come back to Tag Heuer as some of the best looking. I don't think they should get the kind of hate they do and has kept me from seriously considering buying at times. They also sit at the high side of my budget. Quartz gets looked down on, but when I bought myself a watch after graduation from college it was a Tissot PRC200 quartz. I have worn it more than any watch due to size and convince. I think it is time to finally add a Tag to the collection, or perhaps a few of them.
Hey there, I am thinking of getting my first luxury watch, due to my budget I can either get this watch ( tag heuer quartz) vs either getting a Seiko sharp edge or christopher ward watches, what do you recommend?
I think that for what you pay (considering discounts) Tag watches are not that bad in the entry level. Especially the Aquaracers. You get a solid dive watch with an original look. I love how Tag squared bezel looks nothing like a Rolex, an Omega or a Seiko. It’s it’s own thing. Funny enough I think the base models are prettier than the top end models with those ugly round magnifiers on square date windows
I have a similar aquaracer as the steel bezel you have but with the caliber 5 automatic. It is my most blingiest watch, light pops off and I love the watch. But it is heavy. What does yours weigh with the quartz movement? Love the watch! Sometimes I feel g glad no one else values tag heuer. I have 4 total now
Hi. I have the same case as your 1st aquaracer blue version. I wanna know if you can see if mine is real. Im still new in this watch game so still learning. Thanks a lot.
I found this watch for £700 pre owned and the Tudor black bay non diver for £1800 . Should I stretch for the Tudor ? Is the price difference worth it especially when I am looking to buy a Rolex in the future and own a well respected watch for the next 2-3 years ?
Depends what watch you actually like more. If you like that Tudor it might be a good idea to stretch. But if you like the TAG design better - it can be a perfect everyday driver.
@@OneManReviewsthanks for your response and your great videos btw ! I do like them both and slightly prefer how the tag heuer looks to be honest . Which one wears bigger and is thicker ? The tag heuer or the Tudor ?
Hi Sir 👋, just out of curiosity- do you still have this watch and the blue bezel version and if it came down to it which would you choose ? I had the way111 aluminium in both colours and sold them but I like this wbd111. What do you pick if you could only have one ?? Many thanks in advance
@@OneManReviewsmany thanks for replying . I’m struggling to decide as I’ve had the blue like you and miss that as it was a nice watch but have the opportunity to buy ether one again so I’m 50/50 . Thanks 👍
Fair or not, as long as one can buy a TH at a low tier department store nobody in watch journalism or the high(er) end watch space will ever take them but so seriously. Which is a shame b/c the new glassbox is baller.
The new models don't come equipped with a lumed pip for the bezel, so it's now an overpriced dive style watch. The misalignment on each unit is very slight, so it wouldn't bother me much; still unacceptable at the price.
Agreed , the new quartz no date diver is more a dressier sports watch than an actual diver . Fair enough not many will be buying them to dive /scuba in but the lack of pip is strange and it definitely would not pass ISO rating with a lack of luminous pip and a luminous second hand . I prefer the previous generation that one man reviews has. Plus the embossed tag heuer logo on the new one is a bit blingy and not as legible as the blue or black seen here
The problem is that we watch enthusiasts see all the micro "defects". A normal person would buy this watch and probably enjoy it for a lifetime without bothering with aligning the bezel or buying a new watch.

Thanks for sharing. You must have an older model and only 3 times battery change in 15 years is very good.
@@OneManReviewsI have the black face model same as yours

These days all watches are ridiculously overpriced compared to what I remember. Except maybe Rolex and Tudor :)

Thank you so much for the comment. Glad you like the reviews. I really do enjoy my quartz Aquaracers.

I think that Aquaracer is a very good watch if you don't mind quartz.
Tag Heuer

Amazing watch
I have the wbd1112 blue dial 2019 .
Great review .
Have the tag heuer quarts from classic 2000 still going strong

How many years does the factory battery last? I have had a Solar Seiko and haven’t had to change it for 5 years running. Thanks.
Usually about 3 years or so. Solar or EcoDrive is a different story. They can run for 10 years and more.

You can send me a few photos but in some cases, it's very hard to judge based on pictures.
Thanks a lot for your response. Do you have email where i can send some photos?
Or instagram?
I heard some of the movement are cheaper movement with a premium price. But i do like Tags.

I still have both. I think that the black is more versatile variant so I would choose the black one.

I love that colour combo, and I'd get it in quartz also. It's a looker that is no doubt!
A very good looking everyday watch.

who cares about that?

Good point about the new Aquaracer and I agree that at this price point, there shouldn't be any misalignment.

This is so true 😀
Good review. Why is there an insert of an AN 2 biplane in the video? I cannot figure out why there is an old Soviet airplane put into a watch review.
With no particular reason. It was on a beach in Cuba were I was shooting some footage with the watch.
Do prefer this or your 143 ?
Yes I like that Aquaracer better.
What’s the point of getting quartz??
To tell the time accurately. You know, the purpose of a watch.
hello, you don’t need to do maintenance for quartz, just change the battery
I am getting solargraph. Have a few solar watches and it just works for me. No need to do anything just put them on and go,
