  • Yes....another build series. Decided to take on an overland build for this D1 while also working on the two Range Rover Classic builds. Why? Because three builds are always better than one. Follow along and enjoy :)

    I chiseled OFF the metal Caps/cones for the lower rear shock mounts per Terriferrma insructions, as I seen binding on extreme tilt.. After my 2+" lift I installed F/R caster corrected Arms and TF bushings all around because it was not fun to drive at 50mph+, actually terrifying (coming from someone who road wheelies at 120mph+).. Also to note, I HAD to DROP the front sway bar down on blocks 1-1/2 to 2" as there is front driveline interference you must avoid at all costs.. Enjoy your Disco 1 Build!

    That’s a nice kit! I do like the ome kit, I couldn’t afford that so went more budget. I’ve literally just done a suspension swap on mine, I used waterpump pliers to hold the shock

      Yea, luckily the parts car I got a deal on had the OME kit. Smart call on the pump pliers. Didn't think of that!

    I used a big set of channel lock ploers on the front shocks to keep from spinning when taking off and on.

      I actually tried that with no luck....

    Hello, great job. I changed the suspension system as you did, but I had a problem while driving at speeds exceeding 50 miles. I think it is from the rear driveshaft. What is the solution? 0 Also, I would like to know what the size of the tires in the video is. Thank you.

    Looks great! Nice work! Do you have a preferred penetrating fluid you like to use?

    How did you get the rear shock to stop rotating when you took off the lower bolt?

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mine didn’t rotate for whatever reason, but I would assume you can do something similar to the front shock technique I describe in the video.

      Thanks. Mine maybe the original shocks - lots of Blaster, torch and they aren’t budging for days. I may just cut them off!
