I have the exact same truck. Daily driver since 2005. Just passed 190k miles. Got it for $1400 at an auction in 2005. 1996 SD fully stock. White. Same rims as your 5th wheel. I have mine looking clean on the outside with a little bumper paint on all the blacks. You have a very clean D1 on your hands. Worth over 10k to start the build. Revel machines do well. Tuff Rox in UK made cool aftermarket parts. American British/ Rover North has been a lifesaver for parts. Will be on the lookout!
I’m living vicariously thru you in this light resto and overland build! Stoked to see it on the roads around Georgia and Atlanta, too. Earned a definite sub from me.
Good job, it looks like you got a good one there! I’m old enough to remember when these were first introduced in America. I thought they were very cool then and they have held up and still look great! Excited to watch your progress!
This project looks very cool. I love your desire to keep it somewhat period correct but with nice upgrades. Just bought my first Disco, a low mileage 96 stick shift, and I'm looking to do some similar updates. Can we connect directly so I can ask a few questions? This is my first project, any and all help is appreciated 😂

so how much did you pay for this vehicle? Why tell us what kind of deal you got if your not going to tell us how much it was? Otherwise we are just taking your word for it right? not that it matters really, but it just seemed like you didn't really want to say. Kind of hard to sound like an expert with out any data..
Currently looking for a D1 just like this. Literally a do everything vehicle. Great build and videos!
Awesome! You'll love it. Appreciate you watching.
That one is in beautiful shape. I’m also a really big fan of the jump seats in the back. This truck is so quirky, I love it.
Thanks! Yea it was an amazing find.
I’ll definitely be tuned in as I have a 94 D1 in the process of restoring.
Awesome. Appreciate you watching! Hope the videos are helpful. Be sure to subscribe!

I've done a handful of D1 LED conversions. They work great. I found one particular brand better than others. Lemme know if you want the info
Yes. Would love the info
I'm curious as well. I don't really enjoy the look of the round headlight conversions and would like something at least the stock shape.
@@cameronmagbee6875 I have a video coming to the build series next on this.
Tuff rok is a good brand
@@MurphsWorld good to know!
I have the same truck, been all over the country with no issues. Check my videos
Awesome. Will do!
