    That is a great Disco and with an MPI engine…those are really rare here in the U.K. !
    Cool rear window pockets too!

      Thanks! Yeah they are quite rare in the UK; that's true. It was as a decent engine, reliability wise, but seriously underpowered and near the V8s fuel consumption. That's the main reason (plus extra space) why we upgraded to our 2003 D2 Td5 to be honest. Walk around coming soon 😁
      Those window organisers are great indeed!

    The mid to late 90s discovery 1s are my favorite discovery models. Way cooler looking than then new ones. I'm looking to buy a 97 discovery myself

    Pardon me for the wind everyone, July and August are practically a "wind-period" in Greece so I couldn't help it 😅

    Great tank!!
    Which is the name or reference of those headlights? Thanks in advance

      Thanks!!🙏
      Well, the headlights are nothing special to be honest, I purchased them from Amazon; I just googled rectangular LED headlights and there are lots of companies making such lights (most of which are for old Toyotas or Jeeps, so you will have to slightly modify them in order to fit them on a Disco, as the mounting is different)

    What kind of rear bumper is that I have a 1997 d1 and really like your bumper

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks! It’s the early ARB bumper for the D1

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, I just noticed that you wanted to know about the rear bumper and not the front 😅
      Well the rear one is the D1 Britpart heavy duty bumper, paired with Kaymar rear indicator/brake/reverse lights and a Jerrycan carrier I welded on it.

    Hi there, loving your channel so far, keep up the good work!
    I have a question about your suspensions. I also have a discovery, and I want to upgrade them, and I wanted to know how much do those OME lift the vehicle?
    Because I see all those cheaper brands saying it will lift 50mm or 2", but I have noticed that OME does it different. I was wondering how much do your suspensions lift on the front and the rear.
    Sorry for the long comment. Loving your Disco! Cheers

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks a lot mate!
      So, OME suspension for the Discovery 1 is supposed to lift the vehicle up to 40mm, which is technically 1.5”. I used to have it lifted up to 2” but I lowered it a bit with the OME down to 1.5”.
      2” and above usually require a double cardan front propshaft, a rear propshaft out of a 200tdi disco (with a UJ going to the rear diff) and longer brake lines.
      So I think 1.5 is the way to go, you can’t quite tell the difference between 1.5 and 2 to be honest…plus OME rides great. Gwynn Lewis has a nice OME kit with all the parts you need for longer suspension travel

      @@overlandnexplore thank you so much for the detailed answer! I'm enlightened now, and I will definitely check the OME kit. The only problem is that I live in Portugal and I can't get them without paying crazy shipping fees from abroad. But I will definitely check that website too. Again, thank you very much for the explanation, and keep up with those disco adventures! Cheers

    Could we get a tyre size?? They look standard are they? Great build man!

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yeah, they are one of the standard sizes suggested by Land Rover, 225/75r16 to be specific.

    • @jessehunnisett2402
      @jessehunnisett2402 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@overlandnexplore that's great thanks! I've got 235/70r16's on mine and I was thinking to go bigger but seeing what you do with yours I'm not going to do that!! Keep up the adventures and the content man!!

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jessehunnisett2402 yeah mate, practically the same size as the one I had on my D1.
      I went for bigger tyres (32 inches) on my D2 and you need stuff like reduction gears etc etc. in order for it to “work” properly. Plus the added fuel consumption.
      If I were to purchase tyres again I believe I would stick to what the manufacturer suggests. Sure you get other benefits like more clearance and stuff but you loose on other aspects. It’s a give and take situation as most things.
      Thanks for your support! There are lots of plans for 2023, especially for the upcoming summer!

      @@overlandnexplore Cool man! Look forward to it! And yeah I can barely pull away in high range as it is when it's fully loaded on an incline, I dread the thought of what it'd be like on 32s!! Sound advice man I appreciate it and look forward to your upcoming content!!

    Where can I find those headlights??

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate! I got the lights from Amazon! I just googled square LED headlights, I think they are made for older Toyotas, Jeeps and other vehicles with square headlights. They will require you to make a bracket in order to fit them

    Hey! Great video, can you point me to the company that did the rear window organizer/cover? Google wasn't much help!

    • @overlandnexplore
      @overlandnexplore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Thanks! Well, the company that makes these window organisers is called Made By SheWolf and it's located in Poland. Unfortunately their website appears to be only available in Polish, so maybe you could try email them.
      I bought the organisers from a shop that imports them here in Greece called Camp Up.
