Thank you for watching and commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the results! I was doping with superglue for a bit, but I had a bad experience where a stunning stayish black opal I had started cracking and got discolored from the acetone when I was dissolving the glue off. I've been a bit discouraged since then, it was kinda recently. I'm most definitely going to dop again in the future, for now I'm at terms with dropping it some lol.
For some reason, this video is pushing viewers to our channel's videos... And we have no problem with that lol! Awesome work, cutting gems is something we know nothing about, keep it up!
Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and I'm glad that my video is helping get traffic to your channel. I know how hard it can be to get some traffic sometimes, what you are doing is great and I'm sure you'll start getting more people in your community soon!
@@carlynscolorfulcreations I'm in the redwoods of California and I spent a summer trying to sand and polish burl wood or curly wood redwood beads by hand. I got a cool wood bead cutter set and did my best cut out some wood beads! Turning slabs of curly wood into swiss cheese was very hard to do as well trying to hold them while sanding and polishing them! But the beauty of the tigers eye glow of the redwood is mesmerizing
Thank you for watching and commenting! I used to have a blacklist that I used for that exact purpose, id also use it for the flashlight test in the beginning of my videos when I first started making opal videos. I haven't been able to find it for months, but it was super handy for finding them, I might purchase another if I don't find it in the next few months.
this looks like a winner already

Great choices, great result, beautiful piece 👌🏼
Maybe use a dopstick for the polishing process so it won’t fly away?
