Out of all the videos I've watched of yours ( I was always commenting about your dad"s cap ) I can honestly say this is the first stone that I've watched you cut that not only showed your artistic side but what one can do when they have a vision and the skill to do it. Awesome video. It's like fishing.Since I've been fishing for 52 years and the last 20 years spent both commercial and now just mating on a charter boat it never gets old. I giggle about you hesitating wanting to cut an opal. It's like me looking at my fabric stash, wanting to make a quilt, and just don't want to disturb the stash!
I ❤: THIS VIDEO!!!! 🥰 ~ Justin; you outdid yourself!!! You're just too perfect!!! LOL!! I've commented before on how I like to guess what you're going to do to the piece and this time I'm proud to say that I guessed correctly. I thought: Cut it in half and get 2 stones. What I didn't guess however was how perfect those two stones would mate. What a BEAUTIFUL piece!!! I have absolutely no need for it but it's so damn unique and beautiful that I would love to own it. I have an old friend that I grew up with who has been a jeweler since the 70's, I can't explain in words how much I would love to give him these two pieces to work with.
Justin - I want to thank you so much for bringing your art, and your skill to all of us! I found you a while back, and this is my first time posting. Through your channel, you have really turned me into an opal fan! THANK YOU!
I’ve been bingeing a whole lot of your videos - and until now I didn’t even really know what an opal is. There’s something really magical about what you do - like being a detective, an archaeologist and an artist at the same time.
I love that galaxy pattern. These are my number one favorite out of t he hundred of opals I've watched you cut. They are like looking deep into space through a telescope with the black patch and scattered pinfire. Just superb! Magnificent!
Justin, you’re such a lovable goofball. Love watching you bring these beautiful gems to life. Thank you for letting us “looking over your shoulder”, figuratively speaking as “the opal whisperer” works his magic. Absolutely stunning pieces of seam opal this go around. The beautiful red, with the little dots of green. Just gorgeous. 😍
Justin... I saw these stones on your "gems" channel last week. Thanks for showing us how you created them. That was really cool. Hmm... what do I love?? I love watching you work. You continue to amaze me. Even more than four years later. And you always make me smile and laugh. I really appreciate that. Especially after days like the one I had today. Sometimes I can't believe how freaking stupid home owners can be. Nuff said. Thank you again. Be safe and well. Hope you all have a great holiday season. Randy in Des Moines. ✌👍
I am using my dad's computer right now, but I am subscribed with my account. My dad passed this year Feb 9,2022, My Mom passed Feb 10, 2021. I love how you mention your dad in so many videos and thank him for all he has taught you. I also love how you transform a what if into a master piece one of a kind.
I love that you don't mass cut these in a careless fashion. You read each piece and follow your heart (no pun intended... seriously), to create the piece that speaks to you. It keeps the passion alive, as it should with any artist
I think the heart would not have been so awesome without the potch in the upper right part. I find the potch's night sky colour blending and balancing excitingly well with the beating heart's thumping of red but just as vital as the starry and softly speckling multi-coloured distant stars in between. I've watched many of your videos over the years and enjoy them very much. I am not a gemologist and know pretty well nothing about opals but your passion to your art is compelling and I so love the dancing and zaniness 🙂 please keep it up. I very much appreciate what you do, your art is always so beautiful.
