NateFreestyle Do you have a source for that. Blackberry(formally Rim) is just a software company now. Tcl's new brand BlackBerryMobile is the hardware company.
Thanks for another awesome review Lisa!!! I love watching your videos because they're unbiased and you bring a good vibe to the tech front, when some people/sites can be very pessimistic.
Yes. I'm buying one. I've tried iOS and Android a number of extended times and kept returning to BB. My Passport is my favorite phone to-date by anyone with any OS, but apps are finally moving on beyond the deprecated Android Runtime available for it. This KEYone could make me finally leave pure BB behind.
Still going strong after a year and a half. It's the one BlackBerry and phone that I feel like I am not taking a compromise on. Does everything I need a phone to do and does it well. Love it.
If only BlackBerry had switched to Android about 5 years ago, they wouldn't be struggling now. I'm a messaging type person with a Q10, Z30 so ii will be a great replacement.
Lisa, the Hub can be fully customized so you don't need to see all your feeds at once. For example, if you just emails and texts, you can. To see the rest, just slide from and open individually. The customization and endless view options go's on and on. Plus, to avoid double notifications, turn off google notifications and let the Hub take over.
Good thorough review! You were able to hit on most of the KEYone's great features! As a BlackBerry user that loves physical keyboards, I really love using my KEYone! I do turn heads using it due to it not looking like every other phone on the market! the reason I got it! Great review! Keep up the good work!
TCL, the RokuTV company I asked you about on Twitter a couple years ago and you said you never heard of. I like that they're doing Blackberry Android phones now. It looks nice.
yes one of my pet annoyances with full screen android phones is how much screen real estate the virtual keyboard chews up and how poor the tactile feedback is. I often find keys near the edge of the screen don't work as good as those in the middle so I'm sort of liking this phone.
Another note, try using the Keyboard for one full month. Once you're able to type without looking, you'll start realizing the befits of a physical keyboard again. Muscle memory is a big factor in this regard.
Thank you, Lisa, was looking forward to it. I'm a huge qwerty fan in the past, but now I'm used to big screens - does this screen make you feel limited in any way because of its size? Especially when it comes to social media and going through websites?
Another excellent review as always, Lisa. As one of the five people out there who own a Priv, I'm really dubious of the KEYOne. The hardware looks brilliant, sexy even; but BlackBerry screwed the Priv over with its software far too badly. It launched with Lollipop over a month after Marshmallow had been available and only got the Marshmallow update around half a year later - then here we are in 2017 without any confirmed Nougat update. TCL have done a great job on the hardware, but I fear they'll be let down by BlackBerry's rubbish software and software support again.
Hey Lisa Is the snap 625 able to handle Facebook and IG and a lot of texting and TH-cam vids without slowing down? I'm no power user but I can't deal with sluggishness....
its a very much capable of handling tasks much more demanding than that too, you will never feel it getting slow for atleast 2 years from now. Snapdragon 625 and 3gigs of ram is very decent specs.
Man I bought one month ago, no bugs, not slow at all, performance is more than adequate, camera is really good, battery is awesome, a Nice phone but not worth 549 usd, maybe 400 or 450 max
for us BlackBerry users the most important information is about stiffness of keyboard... for example is the keyboard soft as on BlackBerry Q10 or is it hard like on Blackberry passport. that is very important because we all the time type on physical keyboards and it is not easy like on onscreen keyboard.
Forgot to mention : HUB + has HUB custom views vs BB10 which was great , Also on the KEYone you can use the QWERTY KB and Virtual KB at the same time . So you get both
I've never had any problems with BlackBerry cameras on any of my berries. KeyOne is perfect for what a phone to do. BlackBerry should have gone over to Android long ago. Means access to all the apps I find essential. 625 processor paired up to 3505 mAh battery means you have worry free usage.
Lisa, great review as always. Please review the new BlackBerry Motion. There's a few "firsts" for the company with its new Motion phone. Would love to see your thoughts on it.
Hello Lisa great video and review. Really liking this KEYone finally something different and really awesome battery life, great 'darn' camera and fantastic price . Where can I get it?
can the keyboard keys be remapped for game use, like lets say remap the keys R,V,W,X to be used as the buttons from a standard controller. would be great for emulator apps.
I took it as a compliment. The earlier thread started by Pussy Diaries... well that one's in a different league and I think it colored his perception of your post.
But how bad is the TN panel, I need one that has the brightest display. And how much the battery life is? Lisa we need help, specifically me. I need help. @MobileTechReview
That would be fantastic, much better form factor. BlackBerry is going to get my business though since they are the only ones keeping the physical keyboard alive. People got complacent and let touch typing take over, physical is way better.
One of the things that bother me about Android phones is that once you buy it, you rarely get an OS upgrade, so by the time you buy it, it's already old. I hate the iPhone, but at least they do make OS upgrades (I still have a working iPhone 5S) and that gives them the edge. But I'd probably sacrifice longevity to the hardware keyboard that I love and miss so much. Thank you Lisa!!! PS: My Homer looked so much like your cat. Long gone by now...
You can upgrade the Surface Laptop to Windows 10 Pro. Free or $50, depending on timing and whether you're a student. I'll be reviewing it close to the June 15 launch date.
Dear Lisa, Could you do a review on the top 5 or top 10 games for iOS and Android. I am crazy about games and as a kid never got the chance to play any because my parent were pretty strict about it. Now I don't know anything about games or stuff. Always wanted to buy a PS4 or a XB but I don't think that's going to happen in the near future so you are my only hope. Hope you consider my request. Thanks in advance.
i used to only buy phones that had a hardware keyboard but once i started using those swipe keyboards i havnt looked back. its a lot faster... once you get the hang of it that is
Sold! I will be getting it! I miss so much using a blackberry, thanks Lisa!
I'm surprised how good it looks , way to go BlackBerry !
Way to go TCL.
DarkHalmut It was designed by BlackBerry. Kudos to both.
NateFreestyle Do you have a source for that. Blackberry(formally Rim) is just a software company now. Tcl's new brand BlackBerryMobile is the hardware company.
DarkHalmut blogs.blackberry.com/2017/01/mercury-the-last-phone-designed-by-blackberry-wins-raves-at-ces/
Cool.
Meanwhile at Apple, "our phone comes in a new color " be amazed lol
Thanks for another awesome review Lisa!!! I love watching your videos because they're unbiased and you bring a good vibe to the tech front, when some people/sites can be very pessimistic.

This KEYone could make me finally leave pure BB behind.
I have had checked almost all the reviews for key one, finally yours. now it's time to get phone.
always cool to see companies bring out something new, something different and innovative
Still going strong after a year and a half. It's the one BlackBerry and phone that I feel like I am not taking a compromise on.
Does everything I need a phone to do and does it well. Love it.
props to blackberry and whoever makes them now. they've stayed faithful to their faithful.
If only BlackBerry had switched to Android about 5 years ago, they wouldn't be struggling now. I'm a messaging type person with a Q10, Z30 so ii will be a great replacement.
This phone makes me want to switch back to BB from iPhone just because it's different and looks sharp. Thanks for the review! Have a great day! 😃
i just so addicted to blackberry, i even have 4 in my hands right now, i just can't get enough with their keyboard
Lisa, the Hub can be fully customized so you don't need to see all your feeds at once. For example, if you just emails and texts, you can. To see the rest, just slide from and open individually. I love you and your reviews!
Been a while since I've seen you're reviews... Developer mode😂😂😂 nice 1
love you Lisa,great review
Lisa, I love this new streamlined narrator type of format you've been doing lately.
Good thorough review! You were able to hit on most of the KEYone's great features! As a BlackBerry user that loves physical keyboards, I really love using my KEYone! I do turn heads using it due to it not looking like every other phone on the market! the reason I got it! Great review! Keep up the good work!
That battery life! Thank you for this review Lisa!!!!!
will be one of the most underrated phones of the year ...
TCL, the RokuTV company I asked you about on Twitter a couple years ago and you said you never heard of. I like that they're doing Blackberry Android phones now. It looks nice.

Richard Neal the on-screen keyboard is imprecise enough to need to be bigger, thus wasting half of the 5.5 inch screen whenever you want to text.
have you tried the mimum keyboard?
Fair review. To mention this phone is made for productivity and reliability.
Another note, try using the Keyboard for one full month. Once you're able to type without looking, you'll start realizing the befits of a physical keyboard again. Muscle memory is a big factor in this regard.
befits ?
Very true. I wouldn't say it is better than on screen ones. But it is certainly neck to neck and typing physically feels so good once you master it.
Thank you, Lisa, was looking forward to it. I'm a huge qwerty fan in the past, but now I'm used to big screens - does this screen make you feel limited in any way because of its size? Especially when it comes to social media and going through websites?
it's not really a small screen...
Can't wait to get one of these, still have a soft spot for BlackBerry.
Really nice t-shirt.
Another excellent review as always, Lisa.

we'll see, but so far, so good!
Great review, as usual. Love your review style.
Mine is on its way as we speak cannot wait to hold it
Hey Lisa

C Jay stop using Facebook. It is for idiots
@johanis do they get faster with updates (get all the bugs worked out?)
Man I bought one month ago, no bugs, not slow at all, performance is more than adequate, camera is really good, battery is awesome, a Nice phone but not worth 549 usd, maybe 400 or 450 max
Another great review! Watched this on my BB Classic. Still debating whether to upgrade.
for 549 this isnt a bad phone honestly. I like the metal finish on it
I like the design language, but I've never been able to use a physical keyboard that small. I wonder if the frets help?
sold. buying this .
I liked your video...I'm typing on my BlackBerry Passport
Great phone !! It will definitely be my business daily driver !!
Looks good. Doesn't seem overly delicate like most new phones.
for us BlackBerry users the most important information is about stiffness of keyboard... for example is the keyboard soft as on BlackBerry Q10 or is it hard like on Blackberry passport. that is very important because we all the time type on physical keyboards and it is not easy like on onscreen keyboard.

Can't wait for your Surface laptop review,

Looks like BlackBerry married iPhone and had Android baby.
Mele they did , and it’s beautiful
I really like your reviews, and the stylish t-shirts hahahaha. Congrats!
Lisa, great review as always. Please review the new BlackBerry Motion. There's a few "firsts" for the company with its new Motion phone. Would love to see your thoughts on it.
Hey Lisa! Been following you for close to 10 years now. great job!
Question:
Do you plan on reviewing the Key 2?
Please do a camera comparison of the Keyone
amazing video, im going to get this phone soon through sprint
just an FYI... the micro SD slot will supposedly support up to 2tb cards if they ever come out.
Love your shirt, Lisa!
Hello Lisa great video and review. Really liking this KEYone finally something different and really awesome battery life, great 'darn' camera and fantastic price . Where can I get it?
Great review, but you did not mention the security features which Blackberry seems to believe is its biggest selling point..
can the keyboard keys be remapped for game use, like lets say remap the keys R,V,W,X to be used as the buttons from a standard controller. would be great for emulator apps.
actually it does come out of the box with 7.1.1. Hopefully it will be updated to O as well on time.
❤AMAZING!! Can't wait to buy it. BLACKBERRY RULES!!✌
I'll be switching from my iphone6 to the keyone! I miss the keyboard and awesome battery life.
Hi Lisa, please do a review for the new surface laptop
I have to say Lisa, you and this phone have several things in common. smart, classy and sexy. all in one great package 😘
first off, fuck you. second, nothing I said was perverted. I find her attractive, you shit. what are you trying to say?
I took it as a compliment. The earlier thread started by Pussy Diaries... well that one's in a different league and I think it colored his perception of your post.
MobileTechReview love u Lisa
someone got jealous. :))
Bae liked my comment. 😗😗😗
In yo faces!
As my daughter calls it....the ultimate Dad phone. Which I am OK with, waiting for UPS to deliver as I watch 😉
So what do you think? Enjoying the phone?
So far yes, my daily driver still.
TheWindowsphonelive love it, was gonna get the OnePlus 5 but decided to stick with the K1 as my daily driver
Shred Rex Guitar I finally received my k1 a couple weeks ago and I am happy with the decision so far. Thanks for the info.
Online the tech people are saying the screen can come off easily. Is this true?
All these reviews are great and all.. But where or when can I buy it.. Argh... Not in Singapore or Thailand....
Awesome video, as usual
is this phone ip68 water resistant?
no
I’m interested in getting this phone. Will it hold up in 2018? Are they coming out with a newer version anytime soon? Thanks.
yes and yes
I've wanted a blackberry for so loooong.....! Just got a new phone though :(
Got to support good companies like Blackberry if you want keyboards, Make Phones Great Again.
Hey Lisa, do you recommend getting 4k display for Dell inspiron? How much battery life difference between the 1080p display and 4K at same brightenss?
Chen Ckc 4k display is not worth it IMO. Much less battery performance
But how bad is the TN panel, I need one that has the brightest display. And how much the battery life is? Lisa we need help, specifically me. I need help. @MobileTechReview
how has it been after a few week's use? I read one of AndroidPolice reviews and they said it got really laggy.
they lie.
Seing the blackberry come back makes me want a T mobile sidekick. lol
That would be fantastic, much better form factor. BlackBerry is going to get my business though since they are the only ones keeping the physical keyboard alive. People got complacent and let touch typing take over, physical is way better.
is there a way to hide the soft keys? I've observed that even when watching videos or playing games, the soft keys is always visible
Efon Ekpo they are capacitive tool belt. They aren't on the screen.
Ryan David thanks
Nice review! Love it.
Hi ! can someone tell me what is the clock widget on the G6, please ? Thanks!

iphone upgrades slow down their phones...
Thank you for the great review Lisa!
Should I get this phone in 2019 ?
hey will you review the Nokia 6
Sold, touch typing without typos, hoorah !
Can you please review the aorus x5 v6 laptop
When is the review for the microsoft surface laptop. I'm not sure I'm liking it with Windows 10 s.
You can upgrade the Surface Laptop to Windows 10 Pro. Free or $50, depending on timing and whether you're a student. I'll be reviewing it close to the June 15 launch date.
Can't wait for a much more smaller BB than this big device. The Q10 had the perfect size.
what are you, a garden gnome?
YAS LISA ACKNOWLEDGE THE BOURGEOIS PRICE FOR LOW END SPECS AND LAG IM NOT HAPPY
She said NO lag.
Nice ! prolly pick one up if Verizon gets it
At least it looks relatively unique. Could be promising.

disagree.
When this will be available?
May 31st
Dave Steals The Show thanks
Please make Sony Xperia XZ Premium review
If the second front window is for visual symmetry it should be symmetrical
Awesome review
I use a BlackBerry key1 phone. Very nice phone, but the Ram and storage should have been given a little more.
Nice review :)
you r the best lisa
Love that qwerty. No shitty on screen keyboard
I ❤❤❤❤❤❤ it. I want one Like ASAP😁😁 BLACKBERRY Rules.
BlackBerry is still here ?
India loves them and so do sane people who know touch typing is absolutely inferior.
Indian, sane people, have you ever traveled there (with your beautiful wife and daughters in their sexy necklines and mini-skirts) ?
yes -- where have you been?
No battery review?
Love that shirt!!
Kinda reminds me of the design of the old Palm Pilots I used to lust after as a kid.
Only 1080p and 1440p??? You're killing me Lisa.
Use Chrome and you'll get 2160p full 4K (whenever TH-cam is finally done processing all resolutions of this video).
Lisa Gade hahaha.... I meant lower.
LOL, whoops. But really, that's weird it's not offering you lower resolutions.
MobileTechReview It does now. I think I pressed play 1 second after you uploaded. I'm a simple man. I see a new review from Lisa... I click play.
Damn, I was hoping for an OLED screen :-(
same here, but I was really surprised to see just how sharp this screen is.
SD is 2 TB, not 256 GB?
Charlie McDonald yes
