The brake drum is the part you removed at the beginning and didn't clean...
Brake clean was the only thing needed there.
@ridds777 Does this need greese after or just brake clean as much as possible
@eljoker1957 needs the bearing installed and greased, but the first product was a waste of time.
the actual drums also needs cleaning the part you removed at the beginning. the drums can be cleaned with wd40 and wire brush or sanding pad then spray brake cleaner and wipe it to dry.

Yes it is right
I would not spray wd 40 on friction material it will leave a oily residue on it as Nd reduce the friction it will not work very good
