I love your love for Aveeno. I’m 55, and was born with such bad eczema that I was bathing in oatmeal baths when I was a toddler. But back then, you couldn’t buy Aveeno oatmeal bath in stores, it had to be prescribed by a DOCTOR! I’m so glad to see people benefitting from Aveeno as I have all these years. ❤️
Honestly, I started getting Eczema on the shins of my legs. It was severe so I went to my family doctor and he gave me Elocon Ointment. If you use this twice a day, morning & night for at least two weeks, your Eczema will be gone. Trying to get rid of it with any kind of “ beauty” product is just playing with it. After that, anytime it seems to be coming back, I start reapplying that ointment.
I learned this year that the simpler, the better. I'm so glad I found your channel because you helped me take notice of the really good products like Vanicream and CeraVe.
The Nécessaire hand cream is my absolute favorite hand lotion, really surprised me. Zero grease, gives my hands life again after being washed and sanitized to death. Gifted this to my family this Christmas as a stocking stuffer. 10/10
The Aveeno calm and restore oat gel is AMAZING. I have DRY skin and will use 3-5 pumps of moisturizer every night (i use sunscreen as a moisturizer in the morning and throughout the day). I use a *fraction* maybe 1-2 pumps worth of the oat gel for the same (if not more) hydration as the 3-5 pumps of the moisturizer I use (Cerave PM for reference, if anyone is curious). 12/10 recommend this product. I credit the Aveeno oat gel with keeping my skin from peeling when starting tretinoin. Use it on damp skin before applying tret. I’m on my second tub and cannot live without it. Perfection!
I'm interested in this Aveeno gel and noticed you said you use it before applying tret. Is tret a retinol? I currently use Cerave moisturizer after I cleanse and then apply a retinol. I'm trying to figure out if it is best to layer this with an existing moisturizer or if it would replace the moisturizer entirely.
Tretnoin is a prescription retinoid. Dr Dray has lots of videos on it. I use this immediately after cleansing on damp skin, let my skin dry completely, apply tret, wait 15-20 minutes, then use my occlusive moisturizer (for me it’s LRP Cicaplast). It’s not necessary for everyone using retinoids, I just find it keeps my skin happy and from feeling irritated. Hope this helps!

Vanicream is the Toyota of skincare. The products tend to be "boring", but hot damn, if they don't just work. Plus they're gluten free for all of you peeps like me with celiac disease. My aunt got melanoma a few years back and, aside from the sunscreen, she's enjoyed all of the stuff. She was honestly confused I think when she heard me into Vanicream because she hadn't til her dermatologist recommended it. If Vanicream made their packaging look "cool" and went up on prices (plus added words like "natural"), there'd be a billion people on various social media sites talking about how good it is. For now, I'm glad I can pick up their stuff for hella cheap though.
The Aveeno oat moisturizer is not enough for dry skin. I have combination skin and it feels like a hydrating serum even after two layers... There is also less than 1% of centella asiatica (Asian brands sometimes have up up to 70% so it's more for marketing..). Oat extract is also less than 1% (the therapeutic range is at least 2%). It's not a bad product but take as it is. I use it first and follow by another moisturizer or an oil, so it's more suitable for summer...
Have you tried the Neutrogena hydroboost gel cream for extra dry skin? (the one she used to rave about) would you say it's about as Moisturizing as that one? Bc usually I have to layer something on top of it so I would assume the same for this one
The oat cleansing balm is so nice just to massage into my skin without even trying to remove makeup etc. It soothes my skin and is easy to rinse off without irritation or stripping feeling. I absolutely love it
I love the inkey list oat balm . It is very gentle and doesn't leave a filmy feel . You're right it always sells out on Sephora. I always order 2 at a time . It's so affordable even 3 tunes is less than many other balm cleansers 😃😃

My kids, husband and I are now applying suncreen everyday and using multiple types of Cerave cleansers and moisturizers. Good old fashioned Ponds works a treat for me in removing sunscreen and makeup. I use it with a washcloth and it gets everything off without over drying or irritation. I love it.
The most I have been impressed is the aveeno serum. I have sensitive skin but oh my goodness it calm my redness. I love the e.l.f hydration gel moisturizer. The one with the purple packaging. It leaves the skin so moisturize and doesn't have a heavy feeling to the skin and its a gel consistency. Wears really well under neath foundation and even with the most dry nyx foundation.
Careful on the Vanicream moisturiser, it can be overly rich for some skin types. It was for mine. Its pre good to use on the body, but if ur skin is leaning towards the sensitive oily type, I wouldn't reccomend it.
One of many things that I think is so great about you is that you said you were sorry that one of your viewers said she has the worst breakout ever after trying the Li 10 or whatever it’s called. Plenty of other youtubers wouid say nothing or double down and say that there’s no way the product couid have caused the problem. I just appreciate that you had a caring response to that comment.

The Inkey List Cleansing Balm gave me a rash because of the sweet almond oil (makes sense since I’m allergic 😂) but my sister absolutely LOVES it!! Great formula for the price. Gonna have to try out a bunch of these items!
I wonder if the person who had a bad reaction to the LI effector got it off of Amazon? Before I knew better and bought personal care products on there, they’d come to me without the seals and/or smelling like meat thats gone rancid. IK that’s not everyone’s experience with Amazon sellers and skincare is so individualized but i thought that could be a factor. I did try the LI effector and loved it. Totally faded the PIE from my hormonal cystic acne within a month and I think it helped prevent actual hypertrophic scarring I am so proned to these days because of how hydrating it is. I wish it came in a 60ml bottle like their other serums so I wouldn’t feel like I am being wasteful ordering it from overseas.
Just got the Vanicream "daily moisturizer." It's soothing and lovely!!!! Aveeno calm + restore oat gel moisturizer also calmed redness flare-up within a minute. Friggin' magic!

I started using the aveeno serum in the AM because epiduo forte is causing A LOT of sensitivity for me (I only use it twice a week and that's still rough) and the serum seems to help. The LRP cicaplast baume at night helps, too.

So much yes on that Aveeno Oat Gel. I LOVE it. I didn’t try many new products this year, but sometimes a little sting with the CeraVe if my skin is irritated. I was skeptical about liking it because it feels so much lighter than the CeraVe ones I use but I am a huge fan. We need this in the Costco size. So dreamy!
Ok so just was watching and had a thought. I am from Australia, and find it very hard to get A LOT of said amazing creams and lotions here. Soooo was thinking what about a video only, on ingredients to look for, like all the ingredients that are super special in one video only.. I love how you explain everything and say why something works or doesnt. Lots of doctors don't explain to ppl like they're stupid or don't need to understand and say what to do or not do. And then beauty bloggers can't explain bc they have no reasons, it's just they like something or don't.
The Clarins hand cream and the Mrs. Meyers hand lotion (not the balm) are both great daytime creams that absorb in about three minutes and you can touch anything without greasy residue.
@@valerie4912 It has polyglutamic acid in it, so I thought I should use it as a replacement for my humectants but it didn’t work like that for my skin. I applied this serum after I wash my face. Followed with humectant heavy moisturizer. Then I applied my occlusive moisturizer.

My COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence just arrived from "Nudie Glow" Australia. Very speedy for "snail mail". Their pretty peach coloured delivery box made me laugh...on the side it says "Hey cute face, you've got mail!" I work in a doctors office and we have to reuse a N95 mask for a MONTH. Needless to say, they get very gross and its really hard to wear a mask underneath because it makes it difficult to breath/talk to patients. I love the It's Skin! I finished a 5-month Amnesteem treatment with my dermatologist and had some peeling in a couple of areas on my face that are taking a long time to heal. I've applied the It's Skin directly on those places and it is slowly helping heal the skin barrier and reducing the redness. I am not 100% sure if I should switch to a different product specifically for hyperpigmentation, however. I have very fair skin and everything shows on my skin.

The Inkey List Cleansing Balm gave me a rash because of the sweet almond oil (makes sense since I’m allergic 😂) but my sister absolutely LOVES it!! Great formula for the price. Gonna have to try out a bunch of these items!

The it's skin serum is absolutely fantastic! It's gentle to my skin, didn't cause any breakouts and my skin LOVES IT
I wonder if the person who had a bad reaction to the LI effector got it off of Amazon? Before I knew better and bought personal care products on there, they’d come to me without the seals and/or smelling like meat thats gone rancid. IK that’s not everyone’s experience with Amazon sellers and skincare is so individualized but i thought that could be a factor.
I did try the LI effector and loved it. Totally faded the PIE from my hormonal cystic acne within a month and I think it helped prevent actual hypertrophic scarring I am so proned to these days because of how hydrating it is. I wish it came in a 60ml bottle like their other serums so I wouldn’t feel like I am being wasteful ordering it from overseas.

Just got the Vanicream "daily moisturizer." It's soothing and lovely!!!! Aveeno calm + restore oat gel moisturizer also calmed redness flare-up within a minute. Friggin' magic!
I use the eucerin hand cream on my neck, too--so the pricier spf that I use on my face lasts longer.

Thanks to you, I've been using Vanicream for 2 years now and i hardly feel like changing it. There's one time i feel like trying out other mosturiser since i ran out of Vanicream mosturiser, and not having enough money to buy a new one, so i decided to buy a korean mosturiser that was way cheaper, but i regretted it immediately after. Had to ask my brother to buy Vanicream for me since my skin desperately need it lol. And i couldn't be more happier after i received it few days later ! Vanicream always a saviour to my dry and redness skin❤

I started using the aveeno serum in the AM because epiduo forte is causing A LOT of sensitivity for me (I only use it twice a week and that's still rough) and the serum seems to help. The LRP cicaplast baume at night helps, too.
I use the cicaplast baume every winter or when my barrier is broken

So much yes on that Aveeno Oat Gel. I LOVE it. I didn’t try many new products this year, but sometimes a little sting with the CeraVe if my skin is irritated. I was skeptical about liking it because it feels so much lighter than the CeraVe ones I use but I am a huge fan. We need this in the Costco size. So dreamy!

Ok so just was watching and had a thought. I am from Australia, and find it very hard to get A LOT of said amazing creams and lotions here. Soooo was thinking what about a video only, on ingredients to look for, like all the ingredients that are super special in one video only.. This way l/ we skin loving humans from other countries can do some homework over the Xmas holidays to go out and know what exactly to look for. Just a thought but muchly appreciated. The Clarins hand cream and the Mrs. Meyers hand lotion (not the balm) are both great daytime creams that absorb in about three minutes and you can touch anything without greasy residue.
I love It’s Skin Li effector!! Everybody has different skin and there are a lot of factors that potentially trigger acne

@@valerie4912 It has polyglutamic acid in it, so I thought I should use it as a replacement for my humectants but it didn’t work like that for my skin. I applied this serum after I wash my face. Followed with humectant heavy moisturizer. Then I applied my occlusive moisturizer.

My COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence just arrived from "Nudie Glow" Australia. Very speedy for "snail mail". Their pretty peach coloured delivery box made me laugh...on the side it says "Hey cute face, you've got mail!" This product was not mentioned in the "best 2020" list, but I purchased it as it was previously recommended by Dr Dray.
So, 2021 bring on the cute face, but not at snail's pace!

I work in a doctors office and we have to reuse a N95 mask for a MONTH. Needless to say, they get very gross and its really hard to wear a mask underneath because it makes it difficult to breath/talk to patients. I've told my whole office about that spray and they love it! Plus my mascne has been reduced greatly. Thank you so much for the suggestion!! seriously life changing!

I love the It's Skin! I finished a 5-month Amnesteem treatment with my dermatologist and had some peeling in a couple of areas on my face that are taking a long time to heal. I've applied the It's Skin directly on those places and it is slowly helping heal the skin barrier and reducing the redness. I am not 100% sure if I should switch to a different product specifically for hyperpigmentation, however. I have very fair skin and everything shows on my skin.
I hope the Neutrogena and Aveeno products come to Canada. It takes a long time sometimes for us to get new products.
Same for us in the UK and when they do finally arrive they are twice the price!
