    If i remember right they were searching for proton bombs with Rex when they ran in to the droid army that hadnt shutdown. But they had to use them against the Empire by shooting at Kanan and Ezra to deflect blaster bolts at them. So the Ghost crew has been after proton boms for quite some time now.

    I’m actually surprised that Hondo hasn’t been on The Bad Batch. He’s around somewhere. He’s even still around in the sequel trilogy era!

    This has always been one of my favourite episodes. It’s just very entertaining, not least because of Hondo 😀

    8:22 That’s a DT-series sentry droid. Not dark trooper for those who think it is.
    What’s the difference between them?
    The DT-series sentry droid and the Dark Trooper are two distinct types of combat droids in the Star Wars universe. The DT-series sentry droid is a security droid used for guard duty and surveillance, equipped with various sensors and weapons such as blasters and ion cannons. They were often used by the Galactic Empire to protect their facilities and installations.
    On the other hand, the Dark Trooper is an advanced battle droid developed by the Galactic Empire for use in combat. It was designed to be a highly skilled and versatile infantry unit, equipped with a wide range of weapons and advanced technology. The Dark Trooper project went through several iterations, including a humanoid suit of powered armor and a fully autonomous droid.
    In summary, the main difference between the DT-series sentry droid and the Dark Trooper is that the former is a security droid designed for surveillance and guard duty, while the latter is an advanced battle droid designed for combat.

      Now think about what DT stands for?
      It’s a Dark Trooper, just in the rebels artstyle. Don’t trust Wookieeepedia with everything

    • @Commander-vf1lk
      @Commander-vf1lk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@laurids796 I’m not that kind of person to believe everything. Never used that cite. That’s just a reference to dark troopers. DT means nothing, just like serial/model sort. It’s officially stated by the devs. I know cuz I have a friend who has a friend who works with them.
      If you say it’s Dark Trooper then why did AP-5 say sentry droid instead just call them straight to Dark trooper? Why do you think the devs, writers, or directors chose that? Moreover, AP-5 is an imperial droid, RA-7 protocol droid to be specific. Given that he’s a droid programmed with knowledge of the Empire then shouldn’t he have called them Dark Troopers? Not to mention, an inventory droid who’s been doing jobs in those cargo ships/freighters & should know from experience including the security details of those guarding.
      So I ask again, why did they decide for AP-5, a programmed imperial droid who had served & has knowledge of the Empire, worked in those cargo ships/freighters as his job & from experience to say “Sentry Droid” & not “Dark Trooper”?

      1. Phase Zero: The first generation of dark troopers were essentially battle droids with advanced Al, heavy armor, and jetpacks. They were developed by the Empire during the Galactic Civil War, but proved to be flawed due to their lack of human decision-making abilities.
      2. Phase One: The second generation of dark troopers were human-cyborg hybrids, combining the best of droid and human capabilities. They had superior strength, speed, and endurance, and were armed with powerful weapons. They were introduced in the Star Wars: Dark Forces video game.
      3. Phase Two: The third and final generation of dark troopers were fully mechanical, heavily armed and armored battle droids. They were first introduced in the video game Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy or Dark Forces (forgot which one). The Phase Two dark troopers were designed to be more agile and versatile than their predecessors, and were armed with a variety of weapons, including a rapid-fire cannon, a missile launcher, and a flamethrower.
      If you think they’re prototypes here in Rebels. They’re not. If they were, they would’ve been human beings controlling it. To clarify, I mean them using it as an exo suit like in Black Ops III or the movie Edge of Tomorrow. Like manual first before automatic/fully automated just like everything else. You gotta start small & somewhere first before getting to the big part of the development.
      Regardless, I respect your decision & I have no intention of dissuading you. I’m just sharing my knowledge.
