The Gestpenst is an iconic SRW suit, and is the grand-daddy of a bunch of variant designs that I hope we'll see since they've got the guts of it already made. Now we just need an HG Huckebein and an HG Grungust.

I'm blown away by the lack of stickers. When I saw that box art I was sure we'd have a sticker sheet a mile long. It looks like you have to paint the gun, but that's all from what I can see. And that satin black looks really slick. I might have to cop one of these.

I love how they made an effort to make the Gespy Kick pose possible. Although for this Gilliam version, I don't think it has that attack.

You keep saying you don't like SRW, but you've enjoyed the Alt Eisen and the Gespenst, so clearly you like the Real Robot designs. SRW OG has a ton of dope Real Type robots. I'm really hoping the HG SRW line continues so we can finally get cheap and decent versions of the SRX team machines. An HG ART-1 would be killer. Also, give me a Weiss Ritter to go with my Alt Eisen!

I finished building my Gespenst like a day ago, and it's such a rad kit. It's my favorite SRW PT in terms of design, and I just hope we get more as time goes on. I'd kill for a Huckebein, or anything else from the series~

Bandai is also releasing Super Robot Wars OG under their Shokugan Modeling Project (previously called Super Minipla) line of kits which are comparable to HG kits except they had pre-painted parts and is sold with a piece of candy.

I am a lot into Super Robot Wars stuff, as those introduced me to Gundam anime and mecha, not the other way around. :) Thanks for the review. SRW OG were my first SRW games (on the GBA.) Love all of the models! May buy the Huckebein Mk II soon. Love Gilliam, and his black Gespenst.

cmiiw I heard that the black plastic on this kit is the same as ecopla (from recycled runners)...anyway that kit looks awesome, so far SRW kits are mostly from kotobukiya it's good that bandai join the game....now gonna wait for the Huckebein HG 😁

It seem kotobukiya license from banpresto have ran out & bandai technically is banpresto, so they'll do it from here on

An unrelated question, how do you paint rubber parts? Often like to paint the pipe of my zakus copper (usually use oil marker) but it just keep coming off over time.
