If the Ardygun family mechs and ship (Valhawk, Valstork, Valzacard) ever become model kits I gotta get it SRW W was my first SRW game Also waiting for them to be in a OGs game.
4:23 This might be so you can use Beam sabers or rifles from some Gundam kits as a way to replicate the OG series weapon swap system, certainly a nice touch if that's the case.
It's going to be interesting to see how far Bandai goes with the HG SRW OG kits considering OG has such a huge variety of designs and PTs to work with. But if for some reason they decide to go P-Bandai with something I fully expect things like Huckebein III Trombe or the Huckebein Boxer (please Bandai don't do me dirty on this) to end up in that category. Also I totally want to see a review of the Cybuster. The lost boy Masaki needs his representation.
The Alteisen is based on the Gespenst Frame in SRW. Also based on the Gespenst is the Weissreiter, and of course the whole line of Gespensts. I expect to see them all assuming this kit sells well.
I've bought the Kotobukiya version years back and it seems that that Bandai version is not far from the designs (maybe a little better). Wish Bandai announces the Alteisen Riese and Rein Weissritter. They're gonna be sure buys for me.
4:13 there's a variant of the alt called the Alteisen Nacht which is basically this in blue with a katana, so yeah that's also what the side skirt holes are probably gonna be for
_"Steel Beowulf" intensifies_ I never actually got to have one(nigh impossible to find now), but this looks a lot more impressive than the original Kotobukiya release. Sasuga, Bandai. P.S. the Alteisen's cockpit hatch is under the white piece in the center of the chest, and is the same on the rest of the Gespenst series Personal Troopers(SRW OG version of "Mobile Suits").
I have a kotobukiya kit and that one was very difficult to pose. The articulation on this one blows the old one out of the water. Really hope they put out the Huckebein 30 or Granteed
Unexpected SRW kit review sir! This is one kit where despite its simple articulation, I absolutely adore it. All Alteisen needs is a devil’s luck pilot to straight up dive into the frontlines. Really leaning on picking one of this if it arrives locally.

If anyone wonders why Alt doesn't have hand weapons: It's a thing in SRW where the mech has their own standalone gear, and a few slots for generic things like machineguns, beam sabers and missiles (for the Real Robots, that is). And the Alt iirc joins the game only with all of its packaged weapons. Don't recall if it comes with any of the extra generic options.

Dude, the Kaneko ones super deserve it. I really hope this becomes a long-running line from Bandai. I'd love for ones who never got figures like Gunleon or Ialdabaoth to get kits.

Of course its head looks solid- it uses it as an attack. It's basically a hot brick in lore. The Real-types of SRW OG games (minus a few exceptions) have the option to equip more weaponry, so the slots you mentioned were for those. I'm guessing we're to have those as separate products. Also, if you're asking for them to release a Huckebein in this era, I'd point you to Huckebein 30th released some time ago. Otherwise, you might keep on waiting...
Chunky and clunky is lore accurate... Specially on the Alteisen Risen, that one needs a flying drive just to balance itself due to it's masive bunker revolver.
Alteisen is essentially the Gespenst Mk. III so I can see Gespenst Mk II got HG treatment as well. And man, for their cool looking appearance, these units are SRW equivalent of UC Gundam GMs.

They probably aren't listing a scale because a lot of the OG SRW suits vary wildly in size, especially once you get into the Super Robot style suits. This fella's main rival from SRWOG2 is like twice his height for example. So once they get around to doing some of those they'd have to list like 1/160 or something silly.

I bought the Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen during a clearance sale like 6 years ago for $50 (good luck finding it at that price nowadays lol). Was wondering if the HG, with all of Bandai's modern plamo tech, would be better, but I still think the (admittedly more pricey) figure is still better. Better articulation all around, metal joints, chrome pile bunker, and flame/impact effect parts for the horn and pile bunker. I mean, you'd expect a premium figure to be better than the model kit, but it is a decade old at this point.
I used to headbutt everything, it cost little to nothing, then go rampage ghost on the boss. If I remember correctly, it consumes en rather than ammo. If en is out, only then I'd spend bunker and claymore.
It has the same feels like my Alteisen 1/100 EO tech Kotobukiya or it could be better in terms of weight and articulation. I can't wait to get my hands on this kit! I really wish they continue this line , im hoping to see Alteisen Riese and Rein Weissritter in bandai HG
the koto progressive one is little bit more expensive, more accurate and detail with part separation but its already so rare, this one is shortcut to fulfill our curiousity for alteisen
The altiesen is a brick the unit is so strong it uses that horn to launch other mechs in the air. One of my fave og units can't wait for weissritter it would feel not right having one and not the other.
if the alt already impresses you, wait until they release the alteissen reisse..i'm hoping they release weiss as well so i can stand them side by side with the kotobukiya ones
Found the game boy advance game of the og series in the bargain bin at Kmart one of only 3 game in this 30 year franchise that was actually localized into English
the Revolving Stake works in the same manner as Squall's Gun-Blade from Final Fantasy 8, both being melee weapons using explosive rounds to increase penetration power, lol.
Anyway I owned the Kotobukiya 1/144 kit and the 1/100 and the color separation on the 1/144 was way better than the Bandai one... But the joints by kotobukiya are plain rubish.

Cybuster? Yes please. Also the pegs are likely to make them useful for what Alteisen is the most extreme version of, the Geshpenst line.
Hopefully the hardpoints on the skirt and the square hole in the hands means we're gonna see an hg alteisen nacht
I thought the claymore hatch is disappoi ting but i saw later you can open it all the way. Awesome.
Yeah ever since the Cybaster got announced I've been crossing my fingers it'll lead to a Tyranado Rex kit (And Carriax expansion set).
Finally Bandai has start doing SRW OG, now i'm gonna collect them all.
This kit is a absolute BEAST 🔥🔥💥!! Can't wait to try it out!!
It has the same feels like my Alteisen 1/100 EO tech Kotobukiya or it could be better in terms of weight and articulation. I can't wait to get my hands on this kit! I really wish they continue this line , im hoping to see Alteisen Riese and Rein Weissritter in bandai HG
I hope they have the Weissritter and the SRX. And also hoping gaikotsu review them in the future.
I really hope they make the weissritter or a gespenst type. Really wanna see those represented.
Yes, please, review the Cybuster as well!
And I reaaaaaaally hope the we get the Alt Eisen Riese I'm the future
one of my fave UNIT from the OG. i hope they make more specially the hukabein .. and those corrupted variants. of alt
the koto progressive one is little bit more expensive, more accurate and detail with part separation but its already so rare, this one is shortcut to fulfill our curiousity for alteisen
But watching this review i can tell the Koto (i own one) is really poorly articulated versus this Bandai.
The altiesen is a brick the unit is so strong it uses that horn to launch other mechs in the air. One of my fave og units can't wait for weissritter it would feel not right having one and not the other.
It’s about time we got this!
Bulky Hekija? That shoulders is just..you know
if the alt already impresses you, wait until they release the alteissen reisse..i'm hoping they release weiss as well so i can stand them side by side with the kotobukiya ones
Finally! Waiting for the sword that smites evil! The Zanger Zonvolt's Super Robot!
I'm hoping for a HG gaogaigar or even mazinger zero
SRW Bosses : 1000 meters monster
Kyosuke : BUNGKER!
Nice! Waiting for Granzon kit
I always wanted to modify Astaroth Origin to look like Alteisen.
But now it looks like I don't have to anymore
Found the game boy advance game of the og series in the bargain bin at Kmart one of only 3 game in this 30 year franchise that was actually localized into English
I hope Bandai make one of these SRW badboys in their FM 1/100 line.
So beautiful, i wanna have a master grade version!!!
Here's hoping for a fully combinable SRX team set.
Hey, a guy can dream....
the Revolving Stake works in the same manner as Squall's Gun-Blade from Final Fantasy 8, both being melee weapons using explosive rounds to increase penetration power, lol.
Agreed 👍.
Can't wait to get a MG version of the this SRW OG line.
The only thing they didn't include were the speed loader for the revolving stake
Anyway I owned the Kotobukiya 1/144 kit and the 1/100 and the color separation on the 1/144 was way better than the Bandai one... But the joints by kotobukiya are plain rubish.
NEO GRANZON HG WHEN BANDAI????
Hope they release the Weistritter or the Angelg too. Will buy 100%
Man, i really want a Grungust and a Bellzelute kit
