I simply LOVE looking at point 1:15 again and again and again... ... I mean... If you're a fan of the series because of the games like I have; seeing the 'SRW attack menu' inside the cockpit of a SRW robot is much more of a fan-service than random bouncing bewbs.
It's been sometime since I watched this anime. but I do find it a little funny when the girl in the fighter blushes when the kid tells her to let him have control. Ether she likes him being forceful and commanding or had a dirty thought or both, OG SRW fans can tell me if I'm wrong.
I'm not sure myselft, but from what I remember, Ryoto was always a timid guy and Rio often tells him off for it, so maybe it's because Ryoto is showing some guts for once.
Probably both since Rio is a bit of a tsundere for Ryoto and wants him to be more assertive. I don't think it's a coincidence the way the suits "link up".

@Kikujiro Well, in SRW OG2 for the GBA, most pilots had born to fight, rail to the danger zone, or ace attacker as one of their themes if they didn't have a custom theme.
@blues1313 It was in the games, but for one reason or another (people have theorized copyright problems because Huckebeins look too much like Gundams) it got changed to the Exbein in the anime. In Divine Wars, they just completely omitted Huckebeins, didn't even bother to give them a kick ass replacement
What? The EXBein doesn't have the G-Sword Driver? BTW in Super Robot Wars OG Divine Wars, Ryuusei also had the Attack Selector screen when he used the Nendo Bakusai Ken against Ingram.
Too bad we didn't get a regular Exbein fro Ryoto on the 2nd OGs. At least Exbein Ashe and Ex-Exbein were great. Also, no. You can't do the Boxer + Gunner combo on either OG2(GBA&PS2) games.

people shouldn't be complaining, they used the exbein because sunrise threaten to sew them for copyright reasons if they used the huckebein, and it is possible to do that attack in second og for gba
It’s not actually possible to do this in game. But you do get enough Huckebein MK IIIs to have both versions in play at once. That said, it’s the anime adaptation. They get to flex on the rules and what’s more Super Robot then disregarding limits to do crazy awesome stuff?
Well, how mecha are piloted in the OGverse, the pilot only really controls the basic movement of the mech and selects an attack pattern for the machine to perform, hence why it has the same attack animation every time you select that pattern in game.
