If you think this boy's thicc, wait until you get to the Dom Tropen. Could barely pose him alongside my other Zeon boys.
Doesn't help that it lacks shoulder movement.
Still, it's probably my favorite Dom model, it's included arsenal is spetacular.
Not a fair comparison. Dom Tropen is a really old kit from the early 2000s, GM Cannon II was made when Bandai standardize modern joints for Federation suits (using the GM Type C's joints).
Speaking of the Dom Tropen, of the two versions available I'd recommend the desert color version on the grounds it comes with more accessories than the normal purple one.

With some fiddling, you can fit everything at once on the rear hardpoints.

Your goofy intros always give me a chuckle
There's a boat load of kits lately from various grades that are just hard to find. Been searching for a MG Z plus C1 for a good while. Some scalpers are asking up to around 160 for that kit!!! There's a real drought currently.

You're 100% correct that this kit is impossible to find for anywhere near the normal price. I've been looking for almost a year. Please reissue these Bandai. Pleeeeeaaaaasseee.

Finally got this kit after years and years of waiting for reissue, cost exactly the same at 1400 yen. now w8ing for zaku f2 fed version to complete my HG 0083 collection
Just built the pg exia and hirm God gundam and man they are beautiful. I really want the gm cannon and gm snipers next.
If you end up painting this dude, I think a brown, blue, and gray asteroid camo style paint scheme would look rad!

I don’t know why but I love these kits with bulky armor. That’s the main reason I prefer zeon’s mobile suits
the upper arm looks similar to the Powered GM. Mine ended up developing stress marks and cracks later on and ended up fixing it with plastic cement.
well in-universe the GM Cannon II is developed from the Alex which is why its armor resembles the chobam armor.
This would look.great in Gun cannon colours.
That armour on the GM Cannon ii remind me of the armour on Alex Gundam
Chobum armor(did i spell that right?) Is basically spaced armour from world war 2 so i giess thats were the inspiration is chobhum armor is used ti reduce velocity and energy of armor piercing shells and he shells but since high ecplosive shells explode on impact chobum armor i good for a 2nd layer of defence

Theres a reason why the hgbc hands exist for both zeon and federation mobile suits
I know this is more of a toned down Alex in cannon chobham but the MP Guncannon vibe on this kit is so strong, I kept calling it MP Guncannon II for 2 years.

Also zach, the efsf hands is actually sold as a separate builder parts. It has two variants which is efsf square and zeon round. It is pretty hard to get tho
Those don’t look as good as these. They also have that weird joint at the wrist. Personally I also like the covers on these as well. The gm kits from this time had great hands and a full set included.
Yeah those are different in their design. They’re more detailed but honestly I kinda prefer the simpler look of these

Your intros are getting funnier by the video. Also, grunt suits are really looking nice to build. Are you going to repaint this one?
As for hands, while it's nice to have multiple ones included in the kit, I'm ok with getting just the standard holding pair.
