    i have the FSD, such an amazing build and display piece, highly customizable for a high grade, i detailed plus textured mine using weathering and coating, if you ever run across any HGUC Origin/MSV kits at retail price, don’t hesitate to swoop it up, hope this line continues

    while the MSV full release MG FA gundam is extremely rare, there is currently a preorder up on the us p bandai store for a blue recolor of the MG MSV FA Gundam, is a good opportunity to get that kit if you cant find the regular green one

  • @SparkRattle
    @SparkRattle ปีที่แล้ว +5

    To compare the MG FA to it's HG counterpart, the HG definitely is far more solid since all the joint connections are pegs in holes or some variation thereof. The MG FA has parts that use this rather annoying double sided adhesive gel sticker thing to hold some of its parts. While some of them are rather light and would work with the sticker, others such as the back of the feet and side skirts where your hands may naturally go during handling tend to fall or shed off. When I managed to snag the Pbandai blue full armor though, I took the time to strategically place magnets on both the FA parts and under the RX-78's armor to allow it to connect without the use of the double sided adhesive. Took a bit of effort to make it look "stock" with the mods in there but very doable.

    I think it looks great. The proportions from the origin blend well with all the heavily armored look.

    What i loved about this kit is that its based off GTO rx78-2 (the best hg grandpa rx78 IMO). Alot of detail for a tiny kit.

    the MG version is more based on the 1979 Gundam as in being more simple and blocky as The Origin version is a more modernized take on the design.

      for whatever reason MSD version of it doesn't seem to include them

    • @SparkRattle
      @SparkRattle ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the original concept of the FA Gundam didn't have the sabers at all which was canon for a good long while. They probably took that to heart in the MSD version.
      IIRC, some media depicted the FA as more of a "if you come close, you get knuckled" unit like the Guncannon. That includes games like Encounters in Space and UC Gundam online.

    • @borgar1765
      @borgar1765 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SparkRattle its initial description mentioned it had option equipment such as arm mounted beam sabers or core booster-like leg parts, but to date these have never been actually depicted on FA-78-1, closest thing is FA-78-1B having the sabers on the arm, possibly in the same configuration the previous unit could have.

      At least if you have a GM Intercept Custom, it comes with a piece for the best saber to connect to on the back flap.
      You can likely put it on this kit then.

    Oh hey, I built this just a few days ago. It's the Origin RX-78-02 with a few pieces swapped out to accommodate the external pieces. So no, you can't put the FA pieces on a pre-built Origin RX-78-02.

    • @Will_Negs
      @Will_Negs ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thunderbolt's designs would never get an Origin release. Origin kits are MSV/MSD designs and stuff that shows up in the Origin series.

    • @simpleanswer8954
      @simpleanswer8954 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Will_Negs It wouldn't have to be an Origin kit, just a HG Thunderbolt FA with secondary armor. I don't consider it a realistic hope, but it would be nice to have.
