Just a note to let everyone know that maybe a little clearer. When you were compressing caliper, the tool fits into slots and does not just push piston, but it turns the piston in a clockwise direction, allowing it to retract. This type can not be pushed like with a c-clamp. Thanks
Thank you. We are a family of four and we are always looking for a way to manage our expenses. I'm a novice, however, over the weekend, using your video I was able to view every step to do a complete brake job. Thank you so much!
this is an excellent video. I have 1 criticism. If you could explain why you have to position the piston a certain way it would help. It mates with the pin in the back of the pad and will knock the pad askew if it isn't in the slotted area. Otherwise, thanks for great instruction.
on my 2016 Explorer XLT rear brakes, I could not get the caliper piston to rotate inward with the tool with the bleeder open or the cover off the master cylinder. The emergency brake is off as well. I have not started on the other side but want to fix the drivers side if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
I have two questions. So you don't take the cap off the master cylinder container before you start working? And do you not have to press the brake so the pads sit correctly before putting the tire back on?
I just changed my brake pads on my 2013 Explorer I do have a question about the piston for the rear will it need twisting it back or will it decompress by itself?
I guess you never changed brakes from the rust belt i dare u to put a pneumatic on that t 40 normally i put a torch for about 30 minutes before putting any t 40

Did u tighten the bleeder screw at some point after letting it bleed because i noticed u opened it again to bleed?….
Nice best brake job video I have ever seen!
would not opening bleeder valve result in needing to pump the brakes to get rid of the air after?
Silicone lube on the brake pads! Should have cleaned or changed your gloves first.
Very well made and informative. Thanks

I do have a question about the piston for the rear
will it need twisting it back or will it decompress by itself?
Does anyone know why my rear calipers piston won’t retract all the way, no matter how much I spin it 😢
Fantastic job. Great instructional!
Can you share the link to the lock tight used, it looks like a silicone or thicker style than I am use to seeing
Why was the bleeder valve open for?
Also whats the size of the bleeder screw the video says just loosen bleeder screw well what wrench did you use
So what do u do when u snap the head off of that t 40 bit with electric or pneumatic bolt
Why do u lossen the bleeder screw
Do you have a link for the caliper piston compressor?
What kind of mechanic gloves do you use or recommend?
Awesome video, thanks!!!
