Such a good job on an astra pump install but water cooling the poor turbo is too hard? The AU VCT power steering bracket has a boss for a standard pulley exactly where you mounted yours. The belt isn't too tight around the alternator, just look at the radius on supercharger belts.
There is a really good video on these pumps that Mcfry motorsports done , if you stager the 2 trigger inputs it starst the pump motor faster instead of the slow wind up your are getting when powering them both at the same time , but he explains it better in his video .
Awesome - that is how they are meant to sound - but you wont hear it when car is running. Id recommend getting a 100+ amp alternator. One of the most common mods most Falcon guys use. XR5 Focus pumps are the same.

Hey guys, very nice job. I'm looking into doing this upgrade on my LX Torana and was hoping you could tell me the diameter of the hole you cut for the pump tank to poke through into the engine bay. Haven't got mine yet, just planning the best spot to install for look and convenience. Cheers Andy
Separate the trigger wires put one on the accessory’s and one on the fuel pump or ignition it will spin up pretty much instantly instead of taking 15 years to wind up can’t remember what wire to hook up to what but it will work with them connected together just takes longer to build pressure…

I have mine on direct ign, via a switch. So u can turn it off when u dont want to drain bat. But on key on so u can push car around with ps on. Ur fuel pump rly wont do that
Why aren't astras loud? Ive never heard an astra sound like its priming a falcon 9 fuel pump for elon musk 😂.. theres no way vaxhaul or holden released the astra whining like that and said yep sounds mint..
Im leaning to the side of running a seperate electric motor to run the power steer only when parking and run a on off switch as long as the electric motor runs the necessary rpm to use when parking should be fine…ish lol im exploring at the moment😅

If you offset the power to those trigger wires by a second or so it'll start almost instantly rather than winding up. There's a few videos about it.

Looking at those monster front brakes, I'd say an upgrade is on the cards.

Are you upgrading to au2 or ba calipers? Is it possible? I can't imagine the stock brakes being safe given they are woeful with a na 6.
You guys should get a cordless grinder, as someone that has been fabricating a bunch it's so much nicer not having a cord in the way
Alot safer too battery grinder those Corded grinders don't stop easy
Upgrade that idler pulley to a metal version. Just much much nicer than plastic ;)

Put a cheap ebay timer circuit in to stagger power to the trigger wires by 1 second and the pump won’t wind up it will go full noise straight away.

Engine noise drowns it out 🤦🏽♂️ they don't turn on unless the engine is on in the astra
