    Hi - you don't need a jack to do the front ones. Turn full lock, but in the opposite direction to how you did it, and approach from the rear. They are then easily accessible - you don't even need to get on your hands and knees.
    The rear ones, remove the middle four thumbscrews from the lining and put your hand above the lining rather than squeezing through the tiny hole.

    Interesting Kris. I've actually done the same test myself - i.e. PP on medium and PP on soft. The main challenge with the Ohlins Dual value dampers is that they are primarily made for spirited driving with more LOAD than you can accomplish doing a test like you're doing in this video. There is simply not enough weight in the car (read: speed) for the damper settings (damping and rebounce) to "smooth out the road". Many people will actually find the medium setting best as you not only have the dampers to consider - you're also having stiffer springs to support that additional bodycontrol. Spring rate you simply cannot adjust...
    IF you drive on what I will call "normal" roads around Oslo - like in your video - the standard dampers from Tenneco (which also owns Ohlins) are much more forgiving. I've also tested the Non PP (which I currently own on 20'' alloys) quite aggressively and of course here the PP excels. However, the best balance between comfort and sport - you will not go wrong with the standard set-up which is pretty similar to BMW M-sport springs/dampers. I'd sacrifise that little extra in sportiness over way better comfort any day... You REALLY need to push the car way beyond normal driving situations (and least speed limits...) to truly benefit from the Ohlin dampers. Of course, you do get sexy brembo break calippers AND some semi forged wheels in addition which some buyers will appreciate.

      So you'd recommend the Standard Long Range Dual Motor over the performance? I like the looks of the performance but the small reduction in range is not ideal and I am not a huge fan of massive wheels on my cars. I prefer to have smaller wheels with bigger tyres for more comfort. It's a shame that the standard brakes look the way they do but it's not the end of the world. Most of the time I wont need them anyway with regen baking. I can also save a decent amount of money by getting a second hand LRDM vs a second hand PP.

    As a Polestar 2 fanboy, this is NOT practical. If they wanna install adaptive suspension dampers, make a SW. So the user can touch its option on the touchscreen..

      I have a Polestar PP and I have no problem adjusting the dampers. Really happy to see that not everything is software and electronics on a new car!! !! Thumbs up to Polestar for this.

    If you're going to put any part of your body into the space created by jacking, then you want to set the car on a jack stand after lifting it, just in case the jack itself fails.

      @@YourMajestyTheKing the Polestar 2 with Performance Pack IS lower than the normal one and it feels a lot stiffer/direct than the non-PP version.

      I was advised they wouldn’t fit around the brakes. I sold my P2 as I found the ride too firm to live with. Whilst in the minority I think there are a lot of people put there who feel the same .

    how much weight can that jack handle? i have an old jack that worked on my previous much lighter car, need to know if it will break :)

    That's a 1.5T jack for a 2.3T car. I know you are not taking all the weight, but for 100 nok more you would have gotten a better jack.
    Also, why no lifting pad? You're making marks ;(
    I agree with you though, the normal dampers are better and quieter.

    Hi Kris, i like your videos. According to Polestar, there are 3 Öhlin settings. Racing track : Front 1, rear 2 ; Normal 8,8 and Comfortable : Front 18, rear 20. These are guarantueed by Polestar and can be found in the car manual. You also have 20 inch wheels instead of the 19 inch wheels before on the previous PS2. Did you notice more noise coming from the drive train und suspension with respect to the previous car?

    My polestar engineered S60 only needs this at the back, but Volvo doesnt provided a jack in the car 😒 Same with Polestar?

    Great video! I had a '16 V60 Polestar a few years ago....the Ohlins were really stiff, even in the comfort setting. You've convinced me to skip the Performance Package and figure out whether to go with the 19s or optional 20 inch wheel option. I'm thinking stick with the 19s for range and comfort.

    Hello. You could buy Pico with NVH kit. It is very good. Google for it. Somewhat expensive though. Many workshops use it.

    So having tested the car with the PP and without, which would you say was more comfortable? Ride quality is very important to me and I have ordered mine with PP with the 19" wheels. The car arrives next week and I just hope it was the right decision!

    Measuring noise is always a problem. The perception of noise is very individual and subjective. Some people are very sensible for certain noise frequencies that other are not. A dB noise meter only gives you a weighted average of sonic power. But not an individual perceptive measure of noise.

    I'm not sure you adjusted the dampers correctly, Kris, as it takes a while longer than you took. Yes, adjust clockwise counting clicks to see what it was. They're stiff. It takes force. Should have been, say, nine clicks to 0 or something. Then, back them off counting 20 clicks to get to the softest setting. Also, I think you turned the front wheels the wrong way. I found it pretty easy to get at the front dampers from behind. A few clicks makes a huge difference. That's another reason why I suspect you didn't actually adjust the dampers correctly.

      This is what the manual says:
      “Turn the adjustment knob clockwise or counterclockwise to change the adjustment position.”
      “Turn the adjustment knob clockwise (viewed from below) until it stops to get to adjustment position 0.”
      This is similar to the XC60 PE I had last fall, where I also thought it had to be set to 0 before you could adjust it at all. I adjusted that car a fair amount because the adjustment wheel was so easily accessible. I found out that the adjustment wheel did not have to be set to 0 before adjusting. Regardless, in the video I actually turned the AW all they way clock wise (they where already set to 0) before turning them counter clock wise, I just didn’t mention this because for experience it is irrelevant if you are setting them all the way to the softest 😊

      @@KrisRifa Good! But did you count the clicks? I ask because the default is around nine, so you should feel nine or so going to clockwise refusal, and then count going back out counterclockwise. It takes a good long time to back out to 20. Also, from my understanding you can keep going counterclockwise... It doesn't stop you from overshooting. Since you never mentioned any counting, I'm just concerned. Love your videos.

    Seriously, what a palaver. Any car at this price point with adjustable dampers shouldn't require you to be rolling around the floor or removing bits to do the adjustment. Polestar totally missed a trick there. A Sterling effort all the same Kris.

    Interesting video. That's why I love Audi's air suspensions so much, they have lovely comfort and yet they can still become quite sporty when putting the car into the dynamic mode. My teeth fell out watching the video of the bad roads😂😢

      You are 100% wrong i have a volvo s60 polestar with ohlings and never in my life , I felt a suspension so solid in a good way , is not like coilovers , is confy and solid .

    Love the car but it’s so annoying that u have to do all this to adjust the dampers after u paid a lot of money for that performance pack. It should be an option on the touch screen

      Your objection of using a EU certified product to lift a car 20cm (what it is built to do) on a flat surface reflects more upon you than me. That there is snow on the ground has no effect since it is flat and the jack pushes through the wet snow like it is butter. Metal on metal is not a problem and the car didn’t get as much as a scratch. And how is the price of the car relevant? And at what prices does it become relevant? And why? Stop telling people what to do and not to do, as long as it is not hurting anybody. So because Harry has done a few videos on EVs I should stop making videos? Your logic and reasoning is heavily flawed sir. Please go and bother somebody else

      @@KrisRifa To be fair, it does make sense to have some kind of protection for the jacking points. Some kind of rubber pad between the jack and the car provides (at least some) protection against chipping the paint on the jacking points, which in turn is good for avoiding rust. That said, the jacking points are of course fairly chunky piecees of metal, and they will last a long time even if they start gathering some rust.

    It may be me, but I think the whole Performance Package is mostly a (pricey!) gimmick (aside from the self evident color accents and bigger wheels), with doubtful advantages. The non PP version seems a much better option.

    I am not a sport car driver, maybe the P*2 PP is awesome in a circuit but for travelling it is a disaster. My test drive was the worst driving experience ever.
    It felt like a very quiet car though, compared to the Model 3 but some frequencies are more annoying than others.
    Didn't have the opportunity to try the non PP but I am sure that it will be more pleasant to drive on non PERFECT roads.

      @@larsrodvaldr8483 It didn't make me cry :) but taking into account the price and being a new vehicle, definetely the worst. On the highway with new asphalt, it was marvelous but the mood was already ruined from the street driving to access the highway. XC40 P8 (same platform) in comparision was a bliss

      When I picked my car up, the ride on bad NYC streets was awful. On better roads, it was good. But then I adjusted the dampers from 6 to 9 and it made a huge difference. I didn't expect it. And now I love the suspension.

    I am not a big fan of Kris Rifa. Some of his videos are just hilarious (e.g. his live charging tests).Here he ONLY judge the comfort /ride quality for a Performance Package🙈And then he afterwards says: IMO, the standard is better. It is a Performance Pack for those who like a car with better handling/control. It is not a comfort package.! Test it for what it is meant for.

      If your not a fan, why do you watch his videos? And what is hilarious about real world charging videos? For the rest of us, it is very useful and helpful. We all know how the performance pack handles, Kris and countless others have talked about this a lot. But what nobody has done, which a lot of people are curious about is how the ride is. From what I’ve seen Kris is the first to both show us how adjust and then test the ride, and all you do is complain 😂🙈 Go somewhere else and complain about somebody bringing us useful content.

      @@perjensen5192 All tests I have seen (and that is a lot) focus on the ride/comfort of the PP instead of the handling, so I do not agree. The LIVE filming of a charging session screaming “give me one more kw, come on come on, give me 150.....” is just plain stupid in my book. Just generate the curve and show it, don’t try to make it into som sort of entertainment. It is just a charging curve. It is only in the world of electric car fanboys that simple technical data is presented this way.

      @@porscheg50 Sorry but you are obviously in the wrong place if you are going to complain about ride, comfort, quietness, charging etc. I my self am sick and tired about every car journalist focusing on performance and handling, always picking the car that is the sportiest to drive. That somebody is focusing on ride, comfort, quietness etc is a breath of fresh air in a world that only seems to care about G's and lap times. Real people, who use their car to commune on a highway couldn't care less about 0-60 and on the limit balance. I still don't understand why you are here? If you don't like the content then don't watch it. Geez nobody is forcing you to watch it, grow up already. I am never going to understand people like you who go around and complain about what other people are doing, while not doing anything yourself. Especially when a lot of people are benefitting and enjoying this content. Go out and make your own, if you don't like this. There are few TH-camrs out there actually making the real world content on EVs, unlike the car journalists who just read information the manufacturers are giving them. Do you know how many reviews of the Polestar 2 where the presenter is saying it can charge at 150kW? While nobody in the real world was hitting this number before the February update? And you are complaining? You also have to be a quite sad individual to think it is negative that simple data is presented in an entertaining way. I still have no idea why you are still here, this channel and this content is obviously not for you.

      @@perjensen5192 I watched this movie and his previous charging videos because I own a Polestar 2 PP. I have adjusted those dampers several times. It is perfectly fine to talk about ride and comfort, but my point is that this should not be the main focus for a Performance Package. And you cannot just conclude with “standard is better” based on this! People who choose to buy this have a different focus than you! They do not necessarily focus on lap times , 0-60 and g’s. They just want a car with a different focus and feel. Personally I like the firmer and more controlled chassis movements a performance package deliver. I still think his live charging sessions are stupid.

Some people are just never happy... What's next? You click on his video about 10-80% charging in the PS2 and complain about it focusing too much on charging? What about his? Go and watch the Avengers and complain about it focusing too much on the Avengers. The test is for ride quality. It is right there in the title. And from what I have been seeing is that this is a reoccurring question in his videos. That is what he is concluding, and them being adjustable there is a real curiosity of people wondering how comfortable can they get. I still fail too understand why you are here if all you are going to do is complain.
