  • Can you have a sophisticated, high performance vehicle that's also... ethical? Polestar think so, with the recently released Polestar 2 being a corner-hugging beast that looks refreshingly normal and easy on the planet.
Gavin decided to put this top-spec, 300 kW version through its paces to see what you actually get for your money, and if it's as good on the road as it looks on paper.

Thinking of going electric but don't know where to start? Well, now that petrol's now costing $3 a litre, check out the EV Buyers' Guide to find an electric vehicle in your price range or with your desired range: buyersguide.ecotricity.nz/
And if you're keen on minimising your footprint on our planet's delicate ecosystem by driving guilt-free, why not switch to using 100% renewable electricity? With Ecotricity you can do that right now, as it's New Zealands only CarboNZero certified electricity provider: www.ecotricity.co.nz

Ha ha l was yelling at the screen to tell you about putting the screen into cleaning mode . I’ve had the long range for 4 days so far I love it . I think it looks so much better than a Tesla.

If only NZ roads were in a reasonable condition - most are not and that makes driving this car quite daunting at times due to the additional battery weight. Other than that, I love mine to bits!

very nice, we got one of these early this year and have absolutely loved it. But I do agree with the signal noise, it is very strange. it doses grate in the Icelandic whether.

Love this car and love you! Great review. I recently traded in my Tesla model3 for the Polestar 2. Performance pilot plus. No turning back. Love the looks and ride and exceptional build quality. I Enron love the color Midnight. Thank you for the great review! It highlight some of the wonderful things about this vehicle

I get mine in October. Have gone for pretty much the one you were driving. Space colour, performance, plus, pilot. Can't wait to get some potatoes in there ;)

Hey I'm returning to your fine country next month and am planning to rent either a Polstar 2 or a Model 3 from Hertz (they say one of the two). What rapid charging provider accounts would you recommend I get before I arrive?

A big item that you do not cover is that this car cannot do over the air updates to the cars systems and components. This will result in significant depreciation compared to Tesla
