After washing your video 📸 I think I'm going to get my sea plane rating this coming year, it looks like a lot fun. I live in the northern area of Indiana and we have a lot of lakes up here. The area were I live it's call the 101 lakes. Fly safe and God bless.
Your channel caught my eye after our first trip to Lake Norman this past Fall. We quickly fell in love with the area, and as a pilot, the trip was even better as we were staying close to the NC26 community. Looking forward to getting my seaplane rating in the future and I plan to use Jones Brothers as well. I really enjoy your content. - Dave
I love your videos and thank you so very much!!! Many on TH-cam have admired the various videos and pilots of Lakes, but never before has any of them given us any insight about flying and owning one. Don’t sell it, I hope to join you some day, safety first, bless you!
I have dreamed of having a Lake too but have a wonderful Searey that I love instead. My training for that is to always say the same routine before EVERY takeoff and landing and it has saved my butt. It is this said out loud: SUBSTITUTE “___” WITH [RUNWAY OR WATER] OR [TAKEOFF OR LANDING] AS REQ’D. “I AM GOING TO DO A ____ ____ WHICH MEANS THE WHEELS NEED TO BE , LEVER FOR A ____ ____. THE LEVER IS FOR A ____ ____. I HAVE TWO LIGHTS FOR A ____ ____. LOOK LEFT, WHEEL IS , LOOK RIGHT, WHEEL IS . I HAVE TWO WHEELS FOR A ____ ____.” One can argue it is excessive but considering the consequences, it is not. NON-water sensing CO2 life jackets are a mandatory for me too.

Yet he didn't learn the most basic safety lessons about seaplanes...wear a life jacket and shoulder harness...
