  • Another great lesson to work on the mobility of the spine and neck. Perfect for golfers, racket sport players, swimmers and cyclists.
    It is based on AY 200 'Twisting the spine by sinking the lower legs'.
    Important medical information which you should read before undertaking the lesson:
    Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. These lessons are not intended to diagnose any medical condition or to replace your healthcare professional. Consult with your healthcare professional to design an appropriate exercise prescription. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. If you experience any symptoms of weakness, unsteadiness, light-headedness or dizziness, chest pain or pressure, nausea, or shortness of breath. Mild soreness after exercise may be experienced after beginning a new exercise. Contact your physician if the soreness does not improve after 2-3 days.

    After this lesson, I went for a walk, and while walking downhill, my hips were so bouncy and flexible I felt like Gumby, or a marionette. I continue to be awed by the ingenious movements of Feldenkrais lessons, thank you for choosing the ones you do, they have a lot of range, and your comprehensive instruction is greatly appreciated.

    Fantastic movement Stewart Thank so much for posting!!
    Felt all crooked on the resting pose. Lots of stiffness on my neck, specially right side. Not too surprising as I have a metal plaque in my neck(C6-C7) and years of bad posture (lots of FHP) due mainly to a car accident, bad habits, a weaker right leg after having been paralyzed in that accident. I suppose I have to take it easy and mainly...... to do some Feldenkrais movement on a regular basis...like...everyday!! Your lessons are great🙂⭐⭐!

      Gosh Luyz, that's a very difficult question to answer without knowing how you move or knowing more about your movement. There is really no one size fits all. This is a daily routine but I really don't know whether it's appropriate for you without seeing how you move -

    What if we have protruding belly cause of APT and rib flare, that makes it uncomfortable laying on stomach, specially with knees bent that builds up abdominal pressure even more (particularly on the left)?

    • @stewarthamblin
      @stewarthamblin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it makes you uncomfortable Head Hunter I wouldn't do the lesson. Your comments suggest that your extensor muscles are overly working. I would perhaps focus more on the flexor lessons and then come back to give this a try.

    Question. My jaw is very tight, the masseter. Ive ben trying to do the "keeping your tongue on the roof of your mouth" for keeping anxiety down and to keep good posture as recommended by a postural trainer. Could that be why my masseter is tight,trying to keep my tongue always on my roof of my mouth? I struggle to keep my mouth shut completely without using force or tension. Normally it wants to be always slightly open

    • @stewarthamblin

      Hi Andrea, I always ask my students to keep a slight space between the lower end upper teeth so as to reduce tension in the jaw and neck.
