If they bring in starkiller and barriss as the missing pair then GI doesn't even need to be the absolute strongest, just the strongest that can also be in control. If SK and BO are just so powerful but still free thinkers it would make sense to use them as a special elite duo separate from the rest. It would be cool if they made an inquisitor show that starts the first 3 episodes off by killing a jedi knight or a small group of them.
He has been on fire for years. But pain fuels the dark side so he should be stronger. I think Luke just has become more confident in his abilities. It’s like comparing anakin to Vader. Anakin should be stronger but Vader is more disciplined and focused due to his rage and pain.

He was but think back to the the multiple temple guard spirits attacking Vader and the two inquisitors after knighting Caleb Dume, Vader must’ve captured his spirit and corrupted it
I believe this situation is similar to when Darth Bane’s spirit showed up in Clone Wars. I interpreted it more as an echo of the Sith’s essence and not exactly a force ghost like the Jedi. In the Grand Inquisitor’s situation here, he even says the same final words he did in Rebels before fading away.
Yeah! Thats basically my sort of headcanon for how sith “ghosts” work in new canon. They’re basically just imprints of the siths Rage and suffering, all the bile they stained the cosmic force with manifesting within the living force. The humanity they”d truly have in life has been stripped of them separate from what they’re actual spirits merged with the force are. Which is why the jedi version of the grand inquisitor shows up in that temple, his untained self where this is Specters the living death he forced upon himself.
@@bleyd__ yeah, and how the heck do you explain Darth momin's spirit, in canon and legends sith/dark side spirits have to be bonded to an object or location ie the grand inquisitor and this jedi temple

I dont like it. Whatever Star Wars comics is trying to do with Luke and Vader to essentially "fill in the gaps" isn't working. Let the live-action take care of it so Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau can do these characters right.
I really do miss the simplicity of the Originals and even prequels. Star Wars always felt like a more simple life in an old galaxy and some of the expanded stories go way past what feels "realistic" in that universe. They're still interesting to listen to though

I also very much wish to see Lor San Tekka, since he's been the Founder and Leader of The Church of The Force, and has, no doubt, over the last 28 years, since the rise of The Galactic Empire and The Jedi Purge, acquired and safely hidden a collection of secrets, knowledge, and vestiges of The Force and The Jedi.

After watching the video I had to write this. Short after Return of the Jedi At a small jedi temple on some remote world. The Grand Inquisitor burning ghost sit on the gourd while a stormtrooper was using him to cook marshmallows. ''So let me get this straight, Darth Vader died throwing the Emperor down a hole to a the dearth star core'' the ghost said trying to process the events that already transpired. ''Yep that what happened''. The lone trooper said taking a bit of the crispy treat of his marshmallows. The ghost put a fiery hand to his brow. ''But not in a grab for power like most sith but to saved his son''. 'he had a son' he thought to himself remembering early in his career as when two of his fellow Inquisitor were killed by Vader for being in a relationship. 'That hypocrite'!. He thought to himself as he sigh outload . ''Yep that surprised me as well'' the Trooper said happily chewing on a marshmallow, unaware of the irritations of the his ghostly made campfire was having ''And shortly after the second Dearth Star exploded''. The Inquisitor turn his head to that last part. ''wait the Second Dearth, what happened to the first one?!'' ''O that one blew up a while ago'' The trooper said nonchalantly. ''Wow I'm out of the loop'' the Ghost said laid down, making the sound of crackling fire as he did so. ''So I guess I'm stuck here, never to rest in peace. well at lest Vader Is hopefully is burning in Chaos now for all of his sin at least''. he smile at that but like on cue Anakin Force Ghost appeared in front of them ''what the!'' Inquisitor said startled of the new visitor. ''Yay new friend to have roast marshmallows' with' ''Do not be afraid Grand Inquisitor for I have been forgiven'' Anakin said to the Inquisitor. ''So your back on the light side now '' 'Anakin gave him smile 'yes'' ''So can I finally rest in peace now'' ghost of the Inquisitor plated to the redeemed specter. "No, your your task is not complete yet'' he said to him toothy grin "But the empire is gone!" ''Not that task, the task of being a campfire roasting marshmallows for this stormtrooper'' he said pointing to the Stormtrooper who just waved back. ''Also I brought I own marshmallows to roast'' he sat right beside joint in roasting marshmallows. ''My torment is forever isn't it'' The Inquisitor said hopelessly. ''Seen that way''. the trooper said, grabbing another marshmallow roast over the fire.

Kind of wish that Luke would have been able feel and pull the good out of the grand inquisitor like in the temple of Rebels to break Vader’s Sith Sorcery. Would have setup the story that he can feel the good in Vader more too.

Reminds me of the Darth Bane "ghost"...maybe he's just a fragment of the Grand Inquisitor, like Momin's Helmet, held within an object or location yet barely there at all.
I feel like Rebels messed up with the villains in season 1and 2. The Grand Inquisitor was a great character and a blast to watch but his replacements in season 2 were highly incompetent and felt like a step down from his level, which was problematic as the protagonists all had improved. It made him seem weaker than them when he was in fact the strongest of all the inquisitors. On the topic of him fighting Luke, I think Luke got off too easy. GI may have just been a spirit but I don't think Luke should have been able to force push him, cut his hand off and slice him in half. I hope we see him in the Kenobi series honestly, he's a very underrated character
There is an episode in season 2 (episode 13) of the clone wars that Obi-wan is telling Anakin about a mission Qui-gon and Obi-wan were assigned. Hey SWT, Hope all is well with you and yours. I have a question about your perspective about this Comic and the TV show Rebels; How did the spirit of the Grand Inquisitor go from being enslaved to Vader to defending Kanin when the Inquistorious followers attacked the Jedi Temple on Lothal?
Perhaps Vader somehow managed to trap his soul or conscience in some sort of Purgatory using Sith sorcery and is now forcing him to keep serving the Empire as punishment for his failure and betrayal.

So does this mean Luke was actually better than the GI at this early stage? Or was the Grand Inquisitor weaker in this form compared to Rebels?
