read the Pre-Disney novels dude amazing lore going up to 50 years after return of the Jedi, and thousands of years before episode 1

The fact that this comic series explain why he started moving towards the light side is amazing. Any kind of back story addition is welcome to expand out a character more.

I love this! Currently I'm reading the Darth Bane trilogy. A big dark side fan. Perfect end to a crummy day.
The Bane trilogy was especially good mainly because you rarely get those 'day in the life of' stories for a Sith. But Dessel's journey from miner to Dark Lord was really very compelling and perfectly paced. I was so impressed with the series that I emailed Drew Karpyshyn to say how excellent the trilogy was. I was also amazed that he actually wrote back and recommended I have a look at his Mass Effect novels too.
The one thing I really wish is for stories to be written about what became of Darth Zannah after her confrontation with Bane.
