As powerful as Palpatine is, he would get utterly demolished by the son of mortis, no mortal force user including Anakin or Luke can really stand a chance against such force gods alone or at all for that matter, hence why they are bound to mortis else the story would be boring

The son of mortis is a character that was killed of way to quickly, i would rather of had him as an antagonist in the sequel trilogy than palpatine. It would make sense that legions of cultists would worship the embodiment of the darkside. He was such a cool concept of a character only to be disposed of in 3 episodes. Would be cool to see him as an inevitable force of nature that rises when the darkside is strongest in the galaxy. Kinda like a starwars version of sauron.
Would've been great to have him as an immortal antagonist for the sequel trilogy. But it's likely the the directors wouldn't have watched clone wars enough to find out about him. Just like how they completely rewrote how force ghost work. Like, screw being selfless and having to battle your fears and demons. As long as your a good guy you get to force heaven basically. Force ghost have become more deceased spirits instead of a way to retain your consciousness after death by truly being one with the force.
Perhaps Star Wars Eclipse goes into this... perhaps Mortis is more prevalent in the High Republic or we simply see a powerful Darkside cult that is similar. Considering it is also Quantic Dream developing it, it's going to be a very choice-based RPG first and foremost. And well 'Eclipse' signifies an impending darkness.

Inserting character plots in the past so they potentially can arrive in a movie imo is a better bet than creating a new character from scratch in the cinematic universe especially for Star Wars' sake. This obviously worked for Ahsoka.

If the Son can either possess force sensitives from afar or somehow lure people to Mortis, then those three are the best candidates for being the Son’s vessel.
Doesn't make sense how Sidious could just magically find Mortis. Remember that the Father brought Anakin, Obi Wan and Ahsoka to Mortis not the other way around.
I’d imagine throughout the galaxy there would be small pockets of resistance - scattered Jedi survivors, clones, even droids. Dooku and Grievous maybe. Perhaps factions outside the known galaxy would recognise the son as a threat, like the Chiss Ascendancy.
There was an Infinities story where something similar happened. Palpatine actually went to Yoda and revealed his Sith identity, calling a temporary truce with the Jedi. He teamed up with Yoda to stop Anakin and The Son, but even the combined power of Darth Sidious and Yoda wasn't enough.

I would love to see one where Anakin was denied training, before he left for Naboo with qui gon, and qui gon leaving the order with anakin and dooku joining them in training him
This was very cool and interesting but there are a few things that bother me: Firstly, it's a bit unrealistic how palpatine can learn about and find mortis so quickly and then also go back to coruscant in such a short time. Secondly, how did he land his ship, sneak up to the son and then stab him without the son seeing him. Thirdly, why did Anakin fall off the ledge? Fourthly, I don't really think it is that easy to enter the jedi temple and kill everyone. Especially not if all the jedi masters are there. And the council would definitely know if someone entered and started killing everyone. Plus they don't have hundreds of clones to help them take down the temple like in ROTS. Fifth, I think Palpatine would be a way bigger priority to eliminate and that they would go to him as soon as possible. And not go to Padme first. But other than that, I really enjoyed the video and I look forward for the other ending!
The main thing is that Anakin grew too powerful too quickly, I think that the son would cause a lot of distractions that the Jedi would go after weakening the temple defences. However Palpatine could easily find mortis by tracing the dark side suge from the son leaving mortis and by sheer will of the force pulling himself into the planet.

It always bugged me how the Jedi thought “bringing balance” meant “the Jedi winning”. The truth is he DID bring balance. Before anakin there tons of Jedi and a couple sith. After him there were a couple Jedi and a couple sith. That sounds a lot more like balance than the Jedi wiping out the sith.

Yeah, it’s been covered in a SW Infinites storyline. It’s in issue #7 of that Clone Wars magazine I believe… What would’ve happened is that Anakin kills Yoda AND Sidious at the same time-he conjures up a force whirlwind so powerful it turns into like a hurricane and kills both of them if I remember correctly; I do know he killed both though…. And to think the Mortis events take place even 2 years before ROTS.. By the end of the Clone Wars he was the strongest force sensitive to ever live. That’s not debatable, Lucas said it himself; GM Luke would become the most skilled force user ever, but not the strongest, there’s a difference in the 2…. When Lucas said that Luke would go on to become the most powerful Jedi ever, he means most skilled. Because he also said afterward that Luke would never be able to defeat his father in a straight up force tug-of-war. That Anakin had far more direct strength-more depth-than anyone else. He also just meant in the sense that Luke would stay true to the light and the Jedi path unlike his father did.

I see this kind of unlikely. The thing anakin actually says is "the things I will do..." and "I have seen that it is the jedi who are obstructing peace. I have seen how to end the clone wars. U will try to stop me." If he intended to kill obi wan he would've done it there. But he only left obi wan there. Even when the father approached him anakin didn't strike. He wasn't filled with hatred or malice but regret. He was no Vader here and he still had a heart and not only for padme. He knows the darkness will consume her too. He probably intends to kill sidious and then dooku to end the clone wars. The republic and cis will join in hated after him. The jedi will eventually learn the truth and well probably do something irrelevent at this point. Peace in the universe.
Keep the Fan Fiction Stories coming. It reminds me of being between 5-13yrs old waiting for Ep5 Empire Strikes Back then Ep6 Return of The Jedi to be released so together with my neighbour & his younger brother + my little sister we would re enact the movie using it as our base + adding our own adventures & storylines for everything before during & after the trilogy. Also praying George Lucas would release more Star Wars Stories adding to Ep4 - 5 & 6. But until then we made up our own as our imagination ran wild for the next 20yrs. Sadly I was 25 when Ep1 Phantom Menace came out, Star Wars crazy still & itching for Han Solo (Me), Princess Leia (Sister), Luke Skywalker (Neighbour Brad) & Chewbacca (Grant the younger Brother) to hit our backyard climbing the Tree & aboard the Millennium Falcon off on a new adventure. Now another 20yrs later still in love with that universe thank to people like yourself keeping my childhood alive

The Mortis arc had to be a top 3 arc in the Clone Wars

It always bugged me how the Jedi thought “bringing balance” meant “the Jedi winning”. The truth is he DID bring balance. Before anakin there tons of Jedi and a couple sith. After him there were a couple Jedi and a couple sith. That sounds a lot more like balance than the Jedi wiping out the sith.

Yeah, it’s been covered in a SW Infinites storyline. It’s in issue #7 of that Clone Wars magazine I believe…
What would’ve happened is that Anakin kills Yoda AND Sidious at the same time-he conjures up a force whirlwind so powerful it turns into like a hurricane and kills both of them if I remember correctly; I do know he killed both though…. And to think the Mortis events take place even 2 years before ROTS.. By the end of the Clone Wars he was the strongest force sensitive to ever live. That’s not debatable, Lucas said it himself; GM Luke would become the most skilled force user ever, but not the strongest, there’s a difference in the 2…. When Lucas said that Luke would go on to become the most powerful Jedi ever, he means most skilled. Because he also said afterward that Luke would never be able to defeat his father in a straight up force tug-of-war. That Anakin had far more direct strength-more depth-than anyone else. He also just meant in the sense that Luke would stay true to the light and the Jedi path unlike his father did.

I wonder what would've changed had Maul somehow let go of his anger at Obi-wan, maybe by redirecting it at Sideos after the Son of Dathomir arc, and instead chose a new start as the Mand'alor building an army that could rival the Separatists and the Republic. It'd be amazing to have your opinion on this.
I see this kind of unlikely. The thing anakin actually says is "the things I will do..." and "I have seen that it is the jedi who are obstructing peace. I have seen how to end the clone wars. U will try to stop me." If he intended to kill obi wan he would've done it there. But he only left obi wan there. Even when the father approached him anakin didn't strike. He wasn't filled with hatred or malice but regret. He was no Vader here and he still had a heart and not only for padme. He knows the darkness will consume her too. He probably intends to kill sidious and then dooku to end the clone wars. The republic and cis will join in hated after him. The jedi will eventually learn the truth and well probably do something irrelevent at this point. Peace in the universe.

Keep the Fan Fiction Stories coming. It reminds me of being between 5-13yrs old waiting for Ep5 Empire Strikes Back then Ep6 Return of The Jedi to be released so together with my neighbour & his younger brother + my little sister we would re enact the movie using it as our base + adding our own adventures & storylines for everything before during & after the trilogy. Also praying George Lucas would release more Star Wars Stories adding to Ep4 - 5 & 6. But until then we made up our own as our imagination ran wild for the next 20yrs. Sadly I was 25 when Ep1 Phantom Menace came out, Star Wars crazy still & itching for Han Solo (Me), Princess Leia (Sister), Luke Skywalker (Neighbour Brad) & Chewbacca (Grant the younger Brother) to hit our backyard climbing the Tree & aboard the Millennium Falcon off on a new adventure. Now another 20yrs later still in love with that universe thank to people like yourself keeping my childhood alive
