Nice review and fair assessment from someone who is not a “Harley rider” 😂. I have this bike a few months now and absolutely love it. You can put a 2 up seat on this bike, as I did on mine. That solo stock seat is horrible to be honest. Coming from a 2020 Road Glide Special, I decided to go back to the Street Glide for this ST model with the 117, awesome bike. Thanks for the review!
I love the Street Glide ST but the Low Rider ST is 100 lbs lighter with fairing, saddlebags and same M8 117 is going to be my next bike. A 100 lbs is a lot of weight to reduce on a bike and I am an older rider who just turned 62 so hoping a 700 lbs bike is doable. . Going to do a stage 2 and it will be a ripper sports cruiser. Great video mate. Thanks👍
Just happened upon this video by chance. Really enjoyed it, especially given that you're an all-round biker and you provided what looks like quite a fair, unbiased assessment. Just out of interest, what height are you - you look like you can quite comfortably flat-foot this bike (and some), even though it has a 'very slightly' raised rear suspension (compared to the SG Special) and a wider seat than most other styles of bike.
Thanks! I'm 180 cm with a 32 inch inseam, and did find the bike very manageable. The width does offset the low seat height somewhat and I'm on the leggier side, which probably helps there too.
I rather like the dashboard and that batwing fairing. I can understand the appeal of these, but if I was in the market for a bike of this type it would be the Goldwing Bagger DCT. Good review.
There's quite a bit of competition in this area, I'd probably be looking for something with two-up capabilities for my situation, but I can understand the appeal of the single seat too.

Yep, that weight saving is huge and much harder to achieve than performance mods!

Oops, forgot to mention - really good quality video footage also!

The headlight and taillight are LEDs. The directional signals are not.
I know you said you were going to go through full ergo but how tall are you for reference?
Should have included that, sorry! I'm 180 cm and a 32 inch inseam.
The best Harley was the Fat Boy in Terminator 2.
Just watched that movie the other day, was crazy when the Harley gets jumped down into that concrete canal.
Interesting bike but 45 grand is a lot of cash in anyone's perspective. 🤔
Yep, that's a huge investment no matter how you look at it.
