    Best bagger backing up boots
    5-11 brand
My brother in law turned me on to these and they’re the most comfortable shoes of any kind I own and after a year ZERO wear on the bottoms.
Your homie is bang on about boots helping
    Sorry for all the comments
I’m just a big road glide Simp.

I love my 2017 Ultra limited which I have installed the oil pump and cam upgrade, but I also put a quick detach kit for the tour pack and picked up a streetglide seat cheap so I can take off the extra weight if I want too. Best Harley I have ever owned for over 40 years now.

2014 ultra and i love it! i have no desire to remove the tour pack for a streamline look. the storage capacity is incredible. cams? doesn’t need it and not a significant difference for the money

I agree with many of the comments. A bagger is the perfect bike. It does everything, and does it well.

      💯
It’s perfectly suited to short errands .. shopping .. pizza box in use of course..
All the way to cross country rides
The RG is so fkn balanced that it rides even at parking lots speeds .. super nimble if u know what you’re doing

I’m in the “don’t really need one” camp.
I own a 2020 Street Bob outright. Just ordered an advanblack fairing… it’s stage ii, legends suspension front and back, thrashin risers…. Etc. I’m happy. I’m a weekend rider so I’ll ride this one until the wheels fall off. Maybe get a bagger the next time around

In September I traded my Sport Glide in for a Road Glide ST, night and friggin day difference. The RG wants to be doing 90 on the highway, can’t wait to do a long trip the coming spring and summer, since I’m in Idaho now. Also we ( myself included) should be practicing our slow speed maneuvers, especially on the baggers, then we will feel less likely to drop the bike.

Yeah I noticed the st especially is happier at a higher rpm. Congrats on the st

I went from a 2020 LRS to a 2023 RGST and have no regrets. Kinda wish I just got the bagger first. But I had lots of fun with my low rider s.
If you want a bagger, even just a little bit, just go ahead and do it. I was initially going to wait for a milestone birthday. But tomorrow isn’t promised. Get the bike!

Obviously, riding style and your financial situation are the deciding factors here. But, I would say skill level gets thrown in too. You need practice and have confidence to know you can handle a heavy tourer anywhere you go. Then it doesn't matter where you ride it. Stay safe

I just put bags and fairing on my Dyna with a little suspension upgrade and a touring seat. It's great on the highway AND in town. Who wants to lug around a 900 LB bike once you get off the highway?
Not to mention all the money you lose if you trade your bike in.

If you like the cruiser feel but don't want all the weight, faring, or gadgets. Road King Special. 800lbs. It's a super cruiser on the touring platform.

Thanks for the collab, Jason! That was a lot of fun :D
Get a bagger - you won't regret it! Ride one for a little while and you get used to the weight, and you appreciate all the amenities. And I've seen some corner carving on the big Harley touring bikes - I mean, I don't - but other do. It's not gonna corner like a dual sport/ADV/sport bike would, but plenty fast for surface streets!
Also, LMAO - double-checked your speedometer to see I was doing the speed limit, huh? ;)

    • @IronBornRider
      @IronBornRider  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

When I start touring or taking long distance trips frequently then I might consider a bagger lol. Yeah you were hustling pretty fast there for a bit

  • @robbyclark6915

I have thought seriously about a bagger at times, but quickly came back to reality. I just have no real reason to get a bagger, RG for my tastes btw. I would love the storage and the fairing and media! But I can only afford one Harley Davidson at a time, and the LRS softail just fits my needs better than any other Harley. I would be sick of the extra weight of a bagger in about a week.
I seriously think Harley is bringing out a true, performance oriented bagger this year! One that's legitimately inspired by the King of tge Baggers bike. If not on the 24th, then before summer.

I have a fxlrs 122 and a 117 road glide st. I will never sell my low rider. The power to weight ratio with an aftermarket cam cannot compare to the dopamine feeling I get on a touring bike. It’s not worth it to me.

  • @MisplacedMotoVlogger
    @MisplacedMotoVlogger 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Another nice thing about a bagger is it just feels planted on windy days or passing big rigs on the interstate. I went from an ADV bike to my Road Glide, so I can't really compare from different Harley models. I got used to the weight pretty quickly. Still haven't gone a long trip with it, but hope to this spring/summer.

    Hey IBR,
That's really cool you got to meetup and collaborate with John (Road Reality). Did a trip with him last summer, real fun guy! 🙂👍
Like you I've been eyeing baggers for a while myself. An also the two identical things that I'm hesitant on them is the price and the weight. Handling a big bike like that in parking lots and mainly maneuvering it around in my garage has me a bit hesitant.
However, you can't beat those kinds of bikes when it comes to road trips. Especially clocking up those highway miles, stable, planted and definitely a mile cruncher.

Nice video. Pretty much what I've been thinking when comparing my bike to a RG. I currently ride a Breakout Pro Street but i've been dreaming about a RGST. Haven't pulled the trigger on one but almost did at Old Glory and District. Had a check burning a hole in my pocket but we couldn't agree on OTD price. Need versus want. I really love the added storage when riding out to OC and longer rides into PA but it's hard to justify the purchase price along with the cost customizing the bike especially since I'm not parting with mine.

The LRS is heavy enough. RG, SG another 150-200 lbs. After a while these beasts become a two wheeled car. Before I did that , I'll ride my '19 DL1000 gen 2 into the ground. Maybe not as cool, but a fast, dependable, good handling scooter for 1/2 the price.
