@@eiite4578 We do know that the 57 exists in such relatively irrelevant numbers that it's essentially non-existent. Last I heard, they are no longer in production and there are only SIX that are even close to "combat ready". How many flight hours do you think all of the Russian Su-57 pilots have? How do you think that number compares to all of the American F-22 pilots and all of the flight hours of F-35 pilots? I have no doubt that a 2020 Bugatti Chiron is a more "capable" car than a 2014 Chevy Corvette. But if you get 4 days of training behind the wheel of the Corvette and I only get 30 minutes of training in the Bugatti..........I'm betting that you are going to beat me in a 10 lap race around the SPA in Belgium.
From what I've heard about the F-22s flight control system, you pretty much remove the 'aviate' part of 'aviate, navigate, communicate' mantra of pilotage. You tell the airplane where you want to be and where you want to point your nose and it puts you there, physics permitting.
@@PrimarchX To be fair though thats exactly what every single fly-by-wire system does, the F-22 just has more computing power and engine/vectoring power to pull off more ridiculous stuff.
for sure its not real flight model. If turn logic on there is not much difference between two such plain in a dog fight. the fresher model must be much better in avionics and targeting. but fact from the real life : India got fresh SU-** but got to run from Pakistan F-16
GS living the legacy of Admiral Benson from Hot Shots the movie- "You know, I've personally flown over 194 missions and I was shot down on every one. Come to think of it, I've never landed a plane in my life."
The part that killed me about that movie wasn’t the F18 vs SU-57 dogfight… It’s the fact that they sent a bunch of F18s to do a mission that we have much more capable aircraft for…
@@optimusprime7275 Except that explanation also made no sense, and they even proved it in the movie too. Maverick managed to do it alone. Sure, he is 'amazingly' skilled, but that wouldn't be necessary with more modern aircraft. More capable aircraft for strikes like that can do this single-seated no problem...
@@Shade01982 it wasn't due to the story, it was for the filming. The Navy wouldn't let Tom Cruise fly a multi-million aircraft😂they needed a 2nd seat for a real pilot
I couldn’t help but smile when Rooster said “it’s the pilot, not the plane.” Sure skill gap between pilots can make a difference in a dogfight, but the difference between fighter generations is hardly an aesthetic choice. The things that Sukhoi aircraft can do is nothing short of impressive, and that was before they even had a 5th generation. The Felon is to be feared.
@@CS_Mango It already seen in the Syria, though warfare there was veeery far from "real" intensity it was desinged for. Heard it going to be used in the Uk. So, chances we can hear about Felon some time soon. Mby.
I love how he is constantly mirroring the reactions of Maverick and Rooster when they saw the Su-57 pull it's move. It just goes to show that even when you know it's capabilities, seeing them is a whole 'nother beast.
Question: The movie indicated that the F-14 is able to split its thrust. (Adjust engine power separately.) Maverick combined this with left rudder (and I think vertical pitch) to induce a spiral and decrease air speed. Instinctively I would think that this would induce a flat spin, but I just don't know. Does DCS allow you to split the thrust?
Yes DCS does allow it and you’re correct that it would induce a flat spin lol. Mostly because the engines are pretty far apart in the f14, but differential thrust works well with the f15 with the engines tight together.
After rewatching that scene I decided to play around with the asymmetric throttle limiter off pulling back stick and yawing in the same direction of the yaw from the engine and it does sort of induces a spiral like manoeuvre but you bleed air speed soo quickly that it doesn't appear like it does in the movie and like you said it just induces a flat spin.
@@GrowlingSidewinder I'm not quite sure but I seem to have read an interview with an Iraqi pilot in which he said he saw a few rare Tomcats using asymmetric thrust in air combat during the conflict between Iraq and Iran...
employing the strategy of intentionally crashing into your enemy in order to kill them when you don't have any other choice is absolute madness. I died laughing at that
You should do the US vs Russia thing again but with the rule that you can't choose the same jet twice so it's more interesting. Do like 5 or 6 rounds so you can have different engagements. Also make it bandit unknown so you have to choose your jet carefully.
*"I am testing this aircraft. You must find your own skies."* Watching this makes me realize that the reality of the Ace Combat universe is getting closer and closer.
This video was not the super mundane view chaser I thought it was. Very entertaining and somewhat educational. Thank you for your hard work, editing and putting hours into this.
Just asking because I'm not sure. Aren't F-22's and F-35's able to datalink to AWACS for the AWACS to guide missiles without the American jets ever turning on their radar?
@@smitty4483 AIM-9X actually have TDL, not sure if they're 2-way. Still, that's pretty overkill for a heater. Granted, the 9X is on the edge of being a BVR missile, so pretty much everything on it is overkill for being a heater.
The first aces of air warfare were most of the time the best at surprising the enemy, killing them by attacking like a hawk from high up and diving towards their unsuspicious prays. It's funny to see that in modern fights the element of surprise is still the major factor, except now it's in a form of a missile that hits you without ever knowing an enemy plane was even there in the first place.
Wasn't expecting that end lol Btw that's a tactic I used when I did a 1v8 with a Mig-29S against F-16, I finished both missiles (only had 2 r-73) and guns but still had one guy, I just thought "the bottom of my plane must be more resistant than his rudder". I was right, I had quite some damage but actually took off part of his plane, so I just crash landed my plane while he just smashed on the ground. Guess you gotta get creative sometimes.
The MiG 29s aswell as other Russian air superiority aircraft (SU27-37) and ground attack craft like the SU25 can land on their belly, be lifted and landing gear unrestricted/opened and set off flying again
So I think I've solved the issue, Growling. Did you remember to sheer off the bottom half of the front landing gear on takeoff? That reduced weight clearly gave him the advantage over the Felon's in the movie. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Felon for sure can do these maneuvers. Su-37 could do them and it’s not a current gen plane. The russians really value “supermaneuverability” but the thing is that it’s generally useless since it loses you most of the energy and then you are basically dead in the air if there is a second plane to capitalize. I would like to see this again but with two F-14 and I would say that only about half of the time the Felon would be able to get both…
@@brainmind4070 Things that spark a childhood imagination and memories of those adventures later in life, can easily trigger emotional response. I must have shot down hundreds of migs while piloting a Tomcat when I was a kid.
@@timhui950 Me too, but the Tomcat being retired isn't the sad thing there. Losing years of life and childhood innocence is. The F-22 Raptor is a huge improvement, both technologically and in its ability to inspire in my personal opinion. It just looks so much more futuristic by comparison. Much cleaner lines and downright ridiculous in its maneuverability by comparison. Watching simulated dogfights between the F-22 vs. 4th gen fighters is like watching puny humans trying to take on an advanced alien spaceship. Be sad for your own mortality, but don't be sad about technological progress. It would be infinitely more sad if technology had not advanced since the 70's-80's.
@@brainmind4070 In my Childhood, i think i destroyed hundreds of Tomcats with my Mig, and hundreds of Abrams Tanks with my Mil mi 24 Hind chopper. I dont know why, but since very young age i allways loved Russian tech, and i belong in a Nato country.
I was a top gun kid in the 90s, and when I saw an air show in 2021 with an f-22 and a f-18 RHINO, I was blown away with how maneuverable the aircraft were. Imagine the stuff they are not publicizing. Great vid to show just how far these aircraft have come
The SU57. The ultimate dogfighter, capable of just going 180° on you. Unfortunately for the guys that will pilote this, we now live in an age where we launch missiles at each other from beyond-visual range. So I'm pretty interested in knowing how it would fare in that compartment against a modern F16 or F22. Or an F35.
Versus the F16, it would not have nearly the advantage that it does against the F-14 in this video but would have the ability to still win possibly most of the time. Versus the F22 or F35, the SU57 would have almost no chance at all. Against either of those opponents, it would most likely just be stealth killed with no chance to respond at all but even given notice, those aircraft will still outmaneuver the SU57 about as badly as the SU57 outmaneuvers the F-14. At least one type of F35 doesn't even have to face the opponent to shoot them down, they can kill you from in front of you when you think you are about to win. The F35 is disgusting and basically unbeatable unless the pilot is has a stroke in the middle of the fight.
The US Military did several tests of an F-14, F-15 or F-18 against an F-22. The F-22 regularly won in contests where up to 8 4th gen fighters were sent up to take on just 1 F-22. The pilots who flew the F-22 complained about how easy the dogfights were. I really doubt the SU57 would dominate against the F-22. It truly is an amazing dogfighter.
Both the F22 and F35 will lose, because they cannot shoot down the SU57 from a long distance, as they do with other fighters, and then in a dogfight they will be outmaneuvered and shoot down just by gunfire.
57 will dust an F14 pretty much every time. Great video illustrating the differences. A couple things to consider when comparing to the movie, The first 57 was a surprise attack. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a spaceship, If someone rakes you with fire before human reaction can kick in, you’re going down. As for the second 57, it was a chase, with guns. Not a dogfight. Their objective was to escape. Not saying that would change the outcome there. But it might be an interesting scenario to play out. The F14 is faster than the SU57, although that doesn’t speak for how fast they get to their top speeds. So escape is maybe feasible?
I'd like to see the very tight formation start where 3 planes are basically wingtip to wingtip. Also, you would have to keep the F14 wings swept back while dogfighting like Maverick did...(I guess because he just didn't think going up against a fifth gen was challenging enough)
I would be really interested to see a Felon and a Supermarine Spitfire in a guns only match. The video you did before on the Spitfire vs modern aircraft was really interesting and entertaining
Why not. Spitfire is from iron) western were always rich. So no problem for radar. Actually it would take on radar even wooden russian Yak and La) And Su57 can fly at like 500miles per hour which is perfect for the case. No problem.
Interesting info; Aircraft built in 60's thru the 80's were designed to be stable, whereas the newer aircraft are designed to be unstable. If you were to remove the flight control computer from the 5th generation aircraft, and some of the 4th generation fighters, the pilot would not be able to maintain stable flight, and they would have to eject. That's why the Felon is able to make those kind of turns, and the F-14 can't.
The Russian SU 27 planes were built on the same principle, different from the classic weight distribution in airplanes (the center of gravity is not in the front). I think there was a case at Le Bourget when the control system of SU 27 failed and the pilot manually flew the flight program and finished the flight. Of course, it is a matter of pilot skills, but still planes can be controlled without balancing systems in case of emergency.
"If you were to remove the flight control computer from the 5th generation aircraft" Well. Step further and take vectored thrust from 5th gen. Or guns, IDK.
Fun fact: Every squadron of F35 in every country can't defeat a single squadron of SU57. Because the Russians don't have a squadron if SU57 currently. 💀 Just a joke, I love the SU57.
do you know you dont need a squadron your stil part of a wing as a flight and squadrons are made up of wings plus the pilots probably arent used to the geometry of the felon
You'd think this video would take away from how much you enjoy the dog fight scene with the su's in the movie but instead i love it more, for me it added so much more meaning and context to rooster absolutely browning his pants seeing the su pull that maneuver to turn the tables from maverick being offensive to defensive. Amazing video!!
i appreciate how the directors knew that there's no way the Tomcat can beat su-57s in a turn fight, so they made it a chase sequence , using mostly reversals (or asymmetric thrust and herbst maneuver magic) to get to the others six. The canyon terrain confusing the Felon's targeting system is a stretch , but it's still better than Maverick outturning the Felon hahaa
My understanding of evading those missiles is that when you pop flares, you also have to turn off the afterburner. Otherwise the missiles stay with the temperature of the burner without getting fooled by the flares. Of course, the enemy plane will just use that to bleed your speed until you're just stalling.
it probably wont help much. Modern IR missles have ECCM which already counters flares most of the time. The only way to somehow avoid this is to pre-flare before the missle is launched.
Turning off afterburners doesn't instantly cool the exhausts. They would still be putting out an enormous heat signature. IR missile evasion does not work that way.
Turning off AB does not instantly cool your engine nozzle down, and by doing that you just signed your own death sentence by losing thrust in a dogfight
I believe the flares produce a much larger heat signature that not only trick older IR systems but it also blinds them in a way that the flares are the only things it sees therefore it will lock on to them instead, but new systems are really good at tracking and you basically have to pop flares as soon as the other plane started trying to get a lock because if it manages to get a lock it's goodbye
It only barely deserves that title though. It's RCS is estimated to be almost similar to a Super Hornet without external attachments. Not all that stealthy...
It's an ok stick for starters but when the throttle wears out, it will not stay put and will drift because it's top heavy. I got the T16000M stick&throttle combo and with a little greasing the rails with electronics grease, it works great and a little adjustment made it better than out of the box.
Su-57 is currently waiting for an engine upgrade, it's using older gen from the Su-27 era while manufacturer sorts out some production issues. Both aircraft have 3D vectoring thrust nozzles allowing the pilot to do magic tricks and while the F-22 'only' has 2D vectoring letting it pitch up/down extremely hard, both systems cause severe bleed of kinetic energy. Plane becomes a brick. The need for high power, high response engines is paramount. Check out F-22 pilots presentation about training against Indian Airforce including canard + vectoring Su-35. Russia's current doctrine is focusing on super manoeuvrability with some low-observable tech, while USA goes full stealth. The F-22 radar return is estimated to be the size of a steel marble, an incredibly impressive achievement for such a large flat aircraft. The photos of Su-57 with all the rivets showing and non-stealth paint just doesn't stack up... yet.
I’ve read that the reason that the Russians hadn’t put the new engines in the SU-57 yet is that the new ones are larger than the older engines. Also I thought it was the SU-37 Terminator that had the vectoring thrusters, not the SU-35. Though the SU-37 is a modified SU-35, and as far as I’m aware only two were ever actually modified (I might be mistaken on that though).
@@KionKamon Vectoring thrusters used and tested on SU-27, SU-35, SU-37 and SU-57. SU-35 using them by default, except export versions. Vectoring thrusters are banned from export, so even export version of SU-37 will go without them.

Unit economics of ramming a jet into another, and the probability of achieving that is enough qualification to grant the person suggesting that strategy an escort into a lunatic asylum, pillow on the face, and pull the trigger.
The dreaded “Six!” I have never understood why no 4th Gen fighter had a rear gun! Maybe rear-facing fox 2’s? ass lasers? Smoke screens? Shredded tinfoil glitter flares? Oil slick?

@NoSoyAllowed you can compare from real videos doing maneuvers and shows. Damn! They are almost indedical with simulator Dcs. I have watch many videos with f.22 show off and su 57.
@NoSoyAllowed It’s an extremely capable machine, enough that the European militaries decided the Eurofighter Typhoon won’t be able to handle it any longer. And I‘m very sure that Sukhoi was specifically tasked to conceive an aircraft capable of taking on the Raptor when they got the contract for building them
@@PhilipTrouble The F22 has faced the Su57 three times on this channel, and it won twice and tied once (though in that video they did an extra round, so the F22 still won).
Yes, the “should” have died, but your test has the same issue that the simulator pilots investigating the Sully Hudson landing had: they knew what was going to happen and they were able to anticipate. So, you need to start a fight with him directly adjacent to you, and he can’t immediately react…he needs to delay his reaction. So, they’d be able to survive the first one. But I agree they wouldn’t survive any of the others.
I'm not sure what problems the simulator pilots investigating US Airways 1549 had, but those simulations were simply to answer the question of it was even possible for Sullenberg to make an emergency landing at Teterboro or return to LaGuardia (it should be noted that the NTSB never questioned his decision to land in the Hudson). Once the NTSB added a 35-second delay to the simulation to remove the anticipation of a dual bird strike (35 seconds being how long it took for Sullenbarg and FO Skiles to assess the situation, attempt one engine restart, and decide to ditch), none of those simulation pilots were able to make a successful landing at Teterboro or Laguardia.
It's pure top gun 2 fantasy! An airplane with the characteristics of the SU57 against an airplane developed practically in the 60s and that is currently out of service for 16 years!
@@pranshuchauhan6379 Don't exaggerate or hallucinate either! The SU57 is capable but with the F22 and the F35 it would be a good fight in BVR and Dogfight! In fact the SU57 is not yet fully operational for open combat, this is said by the same company that manufactures it!
@@rickstark85 To be honest, only the F22 has any remote chances for a fair fight with the SU57. F35 is not designed for air superiority. It is more of a jack of all trades. Even the newest versions of SU30SM and SU35S are enough to fight against the F35.
Essentially designed to carry the Phoenix missile, a beyond visual bomber killer. It was developed when it was thought dogfighting was in the past. So it had to be big to carry 4 big missiles.

One of my favorite military action movies of ALL time! That being said, the second time I watched on the big screen I thought to myself, "Yeah I don't know about this..." ✌🤓
The true situation in this scenario is that the SU-57 would have shot down the F-14 long before a dogfight would have occurred. Both fighters are designed to fight in beyond-visual-range (BVR) scenarios. In the movie, RIO of the F-14 was unable to use his equipment, therefore they would have been dead long before the pilot ever made visual contact.
I still remember watching the military channel top 10 jet count down where the guy was doubting the purpose of f22 and suggested to keep f14 and f15s... well that aged well
@Razor 2 Red Flag. F-15s and F-16s. Something like a 20 to 1 kill ratio. Bloodbath. I’m an Eagle fanatic. But the F-22 is so far ahead that it’s mind boggling.
My question from the final fight was whether Mav *needed* to engage. The merge was high-aspect, the Tomcat was already pointed towards the carrier, and the Felon away from it. Couldn't he have nosed down slightly and just gunned it? Can't nose over too steep or they'd lose speed in the pullout, but I feel he could've ran to the coverage of his carrier's on-board defenses. CIWS might be optimistic, but surely they could've levied their odds better by getting closer, rather than turning to engage.
My thoughts exactly, he’s almost home free. Tomcat has the top speed advantage too. But here’s another point, the Su had to have already been within range of the carrier group to even be oncoming head on like that… so he should have already been dealing with hell.
This was discussed in the scene between Maverick and Rooser. Maverick explains, you can't outrun those missiles. And he's right. Not at those distances. They're well within the MAR.
@@PinkyPowers The MAR is for the still head-on section of BVR, and is the distance at which you could turn away and just out-range the missile, rather than trying to defeat it with notching, chaff, or simply forcing it into too tight of a turn to hit. The head-on SU only fires 1 front-quarter missile, and he defeats it with a slight pull up and flares. After he defeats that missile, Mav's would have the only ideal opportunity to disengage and bolt - the SU is still gonna take time and more distance to come nose hot again, and you need to be closer for a rear-quarter missile than front. Mav and Rooster's convo was in the earlier situation, where the SU's were not only already flying same direction, but already VERY close. A very different setup than a head-on merge. In that merge, for the SU to get the kill he has to - 1. Pull 180* of turn (the gap is widening) 2. Accelerate back out of the turn (the gap is widening) 3. Reacquire lock on Mav (the gap is widening) 4. Fire the missile off the rail (the gap is widening) 5. Have the missile accelerate past what the F14 is doing for speed to actually close the distance (the gap widens less, then finally starts to close) 6. Have enough flight/burn time to actually catch up to the F14 (the gap is closing, but the distance the missile is trying to reach is where the F14 will be, not where it already is). If we were to bring the speeds and distances WAY down, a tram topped out at 10 mph cannot out run me sprinting at 12 mph, provided I can run an hour, and the distance at start is less than 2 miles. But if I'm running the opposite direction, and it would take me more than 20 minutes to turn around and get back up to speed, the tram doesn't need to run 13 mph to outrun me, it just needs to maintain the 10 mph, because I can only run after it for an hour, and before that hour even starts, they have a 20+ minute headstart.

The F35 is disgusting and basically unbeatable unless the pilot is has a stroke in the middle of the fight.
not even the best dogfighter

Interesting info; Aircraft built in 60's thru the 80's were designed to be stable, whereas the newer aircraft are designed to be unstable. If you were to remove the flight control computer from the 5th generation aircraft, and some of the 4th generation fighters, the pilot would not be able to maintain stable flight, and they would have to eject. That's why the Felon is able to make those kind of turns, and the F-14 can't.
How else would you expect the 5th gen aircrafts to get these super maneuverability, Both the F-22 and Su-57 can literally dance in the air 😅
The Russian SU 27 planes were built on the same principle, different from the classic weight distribution in airplanes (the center of gravity is not in the front).
I think there was a case at Le Bourget when the control system of SU 27 failed and the pilot manually flew the flight program and finished the flight. Of course, it is a matter of pilot skills, but still planes can be controlled without balancing systems in case of emergency.

i appreciate how the directors knew that there's no way the Tomcat can beat su-57s in a turn fight, so they made it a chase sequence , using mostly reversals (or asymmetric thrust and herbst maneuver magic) to get to the others six.
In most of those engagements, the tomcat had already bled plenty of energy. Turning off afterburners would be suicide
Maverick ramming the Felon would have been the most plausible means of getting kill. Mav would have been like "I am the missile" haha

The photos of Su-57 with all the rivets showing and non-stealth paint just doesn't stack up... yet.
I’ve read that the reason that the Russians hadn’t put the new engines in the SU-57 yet is that the new ones are larger than the older engines. I feel like you forgot to take in to account the element of surprise for the first plane (in the movie not in your clip). He wasn't expecting to be shot down. But the second guy would never have lost.
It's one thing to fly a miracle jet. It's quite another to use one in close combat. Nobody dogfights anymore. The original Top Gun knew this.
To think the F-22 can compete and win with it just shows how capable both these aircraft are.
The F-22 can win, but it’s a fairly even fight, and I think it’s super fun to watch the all-mighty F-22 struggle for once, instead of just dominating
@@PhilipTrouble “finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!”-chad f-22
Thanks for the Simulation. Damn the Su-57 is brutal. I wonder how a F-22 vs Su_57 dogfight would be
Very impressive that you actually managed to pull it off at the end. Just shows what a truly remarkable pilot you are

There's also the small detail of Maverick being probably the best pilot in the planet XD
Bro, he started on his six and still lost, the poor Tomcat has NOTHING on the 57.
well in the last match he had element of surprise and successfully rammed him...
Great use of quotation marks. Definitely necessary, or else we wouldn’t have understood what you’re saying.
Nice to see someone out there still understands how air planes work..
It's pure top gun 2 fantasy! An airplane with the characteristics of the SU57 against an airplane developed practically in the 60s and that is currently out of service for 16 years!
Yup no way there would be 75% of it's entire production run in the air just patrolling
Su57 can easily kill latest jets such as F22 and F35 in dog fight
@@pranshuchauhan6379 Don't exaggerate or hallucinate either! The SU57 is capable but with the F22 and the F35 it would be a good fight in BVR and Dogfight! In fact the SU57 is not yet fully operational for open combat, this is said by the same company that manufactures it!
@@pranshuchauhan6379 troll
@@rickstark85 To be honest, only the F22 has any remote chances for a fair fight with the SU57. F35 is not designed for air superiority. It is more of a jack of all trades. Even the newest versions of SU30SM and SU35S are enough to fight against the F35.
GS: "Did he just slot into my six?"
Su-57 pilot: "да" shoots missile.
Awesome video. What an amazing way to demonstrate the difference in maneuverability!
From what I've heard, the Tomcat was basically too big and heavy for a turning fight....just a big radar with big long-range missiles :)
The F-14 was designed to engage swarms of Soviet bombers from long distance to protect our aircraft carriers.
Essentially designed to carry the Phoenix missile, a beyond visual bomber killer. It was developed when it was thought dogfighting was in the past. So it had to be big to carry 4 big missiles.
All old planes were that.... of course now theyre sleeker and can maneuver better
Su-57 is not big? It's the size of a MiG-31

When Tom Cruise goes mach 10.1 by pushing the stick (not throttle control) forward...
@@doc0core isnt that why he got 10.1 mach?
@@zxhiend pushing the stick pitch the plane down, not increase thrust
The Felon must have a lot of thrust, it seems to just hang in the air with the wings producing no lift.
With the current engines it has a thrust to weight ration of 1.2. The new engines will bump it up to like 1.6-1.8
Its also the airframe bro. Its really made to do that. No other plane has a similar airframe, except the yf-23. I can confidently say the sukhoi design bureau inspired on the yf-23, but thats just a vague assumption of mine
@@agera.rs7 that doesn’t really track they might appear similar in someways but I doubt they perform in anyway the same especially when you consider that the USAF chose the YF-22 because it was more maneuverable then the YF-23 which was considered stealthier, were as the SU-57 is wide accepted that it seriously compromised on stealth(only stealthy from front) in favor of maneuverability
@@OneAngryVelociraptor That's dry weight which means nothing. Current SU-57 engines with combat load are closer to 1.0
Their new engine also isn't even close to being integrated into the SU-57. Crappy engine design anyways, they're just giant infrared beacons waiting to be targeted by heat seekers lol, intake nacelle is dogshit for stealth too.
@@weasle2904 Nope. The current Thrust to weight ratio is 1.2 under normal weight. With dry weight its 1.6. Th new engines has 25% more thrust while weighing 150kg less. It also has stealthier nozzles and stealthier intakes.
The new engines is supposed to enter flight tests this year. If those tests go well we can expect it to enter production in the next 2-3 years.
One of your best videos. Always great to see the other side of air superiority. Honestly mind blowing how that “thing” moves. No contest.

DCS does not model "Maverick Plot Armor" (MPA). 🤣
...in an F-14 without MPA enabled, no one stands a chance against an Su-57. 😜
Su-75 would destroy it
Pff lol maybe in a dogfight but those are a thing of the past. As much as ppl want to romanticise them the reality today is you'll get blown out of the sky without even seeing your enemy :P
In the movie, Mav split the throttles, left = 0, rt = AB. hard left roll+left rudder (I think) and that made a sort-of trust vector movement.

@Razor 2
Red Flag. F-15s and F-16s. Something like a 20 to 1 kill ratio.
Bloodbath. I’m an Eagle fanatic. But the F-22 is so far ahead that it’s mind boggling.
How those Fighter pilots must've felt when encountering those UAPs, "*How did they do that? It's almost like they're a piece of paper*"! lol
I laughed so hard when you frustratedly hit it and succeeded. Thanks man
My question from the final fight was whether Mav *needed* to engage.
Navy pilots are typically taught to keep other aircraft away from the carrier.
