Let me tell y'all what's been happening: I've been on a hiatus for the past month trying to sort quite a few personal issues out. And, damn, it's been a busy month. Regardless, I believe I have finally gotten over this rut of mine and I want to apologize to all those out there waiting for my next videos. Thank you so much for your patience. It's time to get back to work!
I am also planning to stream on Twitch weekly while making new vids for YT. No doubt Biggie Logan. But I must point out that once it catches fire, that's a new part of the "meta". I mean from the description, sounds like you really focused on efficiency, which is what meta is about. So a straight boi today, potentially a Brokeback Mountaineer tomorrow.

Also AR of 500 is easily attained with far less restrictions for most builds. You can get that on most quality weapons and still apply resin for dark damage, the typically lowest resist for most players. Lightning resist is tied to endurance, so many people have a natural resistance to it. And a smart player calculated swings and rolls combined. Literally let you blow your load and then watch how far you roll. Most kills I get is from poor stamina management and punishing obvious parry baits.
And don't get me started on how bad split damage can be in a fight. AR is anticipated damage after adding damage types together, it doesn't calculate defense.

Bruh. You started the conversation by saying meta is for faggots. You threw out a general insult and used a homophobic slur, there is no high horse for you to ride here.
R1 r1 parry, dead. And most quality builds are at 40/40/40/40, you can even have 35 vig and 35 end using prisoner's chain to add 5 to endurance, vigor, and vitality. That's 15 free levels that hella out weigh the decreased defense. Your 5 to 6 rolls get outclassed by 12 rolls at 40 end, you suffer major split damage, which you still don't even realize doesn't ever hit 500 versus defense. Most PvP builds have between 14 to 18 hundred in health. Your "100" is basically chip damage. And what do you actually even do against magic? You got no stamina! It's either all defense or all offense for you. This is just a sad display of not understanding simple math. If this was ds1 you could dark bead people to hell, a huge part being spells in ds1 don't drain stamina at all.
Nah, you just want me to believe you are godly at an obviously flawed build? Square up, upload and link. You'd hit it big in the ds community.

I did a build like this but with the golden ritual spear, it's really fun for 1v1's and mixed results for invasions. I like to keep a lightning saint bident for invasions and the most important spells would be farron dart and farron flashsword.. great soul arrow was also good for its high damage+speed. It was my Gwyndolin cosplay ^_^
Brings back memories of when I challenged my friend to a duel where he could use anything and I could only use this with no spells and no armor but the slave knight pants (no RC loincloth yet) and I managed to take him on perfectly. Good times man...

AH yes, The rose of Ariandel. I Used this weapon a lot when it came down to 1v1's. IF you match it with a crossbow you can often roll catch someone after the two r1 attacks. I loved this weapon to death and im so happy to see it being used by another person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you earned yourself a sub.

It looked like he was healing with a Divine Blessing, at least to me...
I'll trust my gut instinct and say that the invader was going for a Divine. It's considered to be a good strat to use a Divine when your health is low enough that you'd have to consume two estus flasks to get it back to full.

Hahaha!! Force into WoG was something I experimented with for awhile, until I tried Lightning Storm for the same purpose. Also Fun Fact. Lightning Stake has inherit HA. it just takes awhile to activate

My first build was the dragonslayer greataxe in the right hand and the rose in the left. It was nice getting people used to the greataxe attacks before smacking them out of their rolls with the whip.
I use this thing in terms of bleed with the dark miracles like dorthys gnawing which cn track well enough and people sometimes have trouble keeping up with both the spell myself and any other spell I bring out

lightning arrow pressure is literally my favourite thing in this shitty game
also I grabbed the rose in my first run but you caught me, it was only for the buff while I switched to the saint's talisman for higher-power poised casting (of lightning arrow)

When 1st dlc ds3 came out and saw Rose of ariandel didn't really like weapon as much other then doing oneshot glass cannon build but after watching video kind of want try it out again as melee build.

I don't even play dark souls, and I found your video. Pretty cool. The ending was hilarious!
It's much more apparent in DS3, but it seems to me that weapons that also act as casting tools are always underrated. I remember using the miracle casting mace in ds2 and while it didn't always do great melee damage, you could 2 hand, r1 stun into force, 2 r1s into wrath of God was actually a reliable use of that spell. Blue Flame with CMW was also great in that game.
I always knew that the Heysel Pick and Immolation Tinder were cool as hell options in DS3 and obviously the Demons Scar is super good, but I didnt know about this thing. I'll definitely have to try it as an option.

I use Rose for my offhand in my Crucifix build. I'd say try it out. Same stats as you already have, same goals, slightly different mix-ups, just uses Crucifix too.

Btw unrelated, but after hearing that intro, I think our tastes music might not differ as much as i initially thought... Though still do differ for the major part, definitely.
Of all the weapon/catalyst hybrids in DS3, the Rose is not that bad. I'd say that it's in 3rd place behind the Demon Scar (1st) and Heysel's Pick (2nd) while definitely above the rest of the sorcery weapon/catalysts (Immolation Tinder, Golden Ritual Spear, and Cleric's Candlestick).

Since you can't riposte, try bringing str up enough for a WA greatshield like curseward. Then throw an HP Regen infusion on the shield, HP Regen ring, and a Regen miracle in addition to any others you eqiup.
I'd say it's almost a form of psychological warfare at that point.

I’m on a current playthrough, and I guess I played on a “Hebrew Man of Faith” build. That includes the Sellsword set, Rose of Ariandel +5 in the right hand and Valorheart +5 in the off-hand, kinda in reference to what Israelite warriors would’ve looked like in the Old Testament of the Bible. Miracles I added in are Lightning Arrow & Wrath of the Gods. I gotta say, it does good damage… if you’re not playing in the Ringed City, that is. Trust me, I tried fighting Slave Knight Gael with this weapon, and the damage was so crap that I decided to switch to Wolnir’s Holy Sword for more damage & stagger potential. Regardless, this weapon’s pretty good; and like you said before, as long as you increase in Strength & Faith, you’ll get some good hits in & do decent damage to warrant it.

While I agree with your overall assessment on miracles, I used to have a lot of fun one-shotting idiots in Farron Swamp with a point blank poise buffed sunlight spear. You can switch them up with a lightning tempest if they're expecting the spear and finish them off with a single R1 too. I found the rose to be one of the better faith weapons but my personal favourite was always the sunlight straight sword.

Honestly I just carry this thing in the offhand for the buff. It's powerful, doesn't fade if you switch off of the weapon, and lasts a really long time. It's real nice.
