Some people always oversimplify the opinions so much that they starts to sound like strawmans. I could blame the algortythm as well, rewarding short and concise comment like "The problem is that DS3 is rolling simulator" instead of more fleshed out, understandable comments.
Maybe you should also accept that these games no matter how good they are also have flaws which they absolutely do like any other game , no game is perfect . I love FS games to death , played all of them since Demon's Souls multiple times but there are legitimate criticism with each one , some more some less . The more you play these games or any game for that matter the more you see the flaws and the chinks in the armor because you are not in that ,, honeymoon phase ,, anymore . Its great to love something but glazing over something too much is an issue if you are trying to be fair and as objective as possible . Constructive criticism is great for the gaming industry and it will make great games even better if applied properly . Those things you wrote are oversimplifications from some disgruntled people which there always will be a portion of any playerbase especially those that are as large as the ones that FS has which are millions of people .
For me Elden Ring is the definite best. It's artstyle & environment design is 2nd to none and the fact it is open world and allows you to travel to anywhere your eyes can see makes the scale and beauty of the Environment/World Design _that_ much better And Elden Rings combat is 2nd best & almost tied with Sekiro. Sekiro has better boss combat but Elden Ring has better mob battles and variety since Sekiro's combat isn't well designed to fight multiple enemies. BB combat is awesome too but ER still comes out on top between them And ER definitely has the most memorable ost/music imo (maybe except for 1 or 2 classics from the DS Trilogy) All in all these are amazing games but ER is the magnum opus of Fromsoft
i disagree about the open world, i think it's to the detrement of the game. and the ost most memorable? it's my least favourite in souls. none of the boss osts sound climactic and they feel generic for me

I have the opposite opinion, think Elden ring the the worst souls game because it’s just boring and unenjoyable after a while, it just has no replay value. The combat is the worst in the series because it can pretty much be summed up by this: spam l2 till boss die. There’s no rythem to the bosses, most of the time a boss will have a 7 second combo and than as soon as you try to do anything afterwards (like a heal or a counter) they immediately start another long combo. The ost is the worst in the series, the aesthetic and atmosphere is really lackluster compared to bloodborne or the ds trilogy, the level design is terrible compared to ds1, and the hub world is the second worst in the series next to hunters dream. I just don’t understand what makes people think Elden ring is the best.
My top is similar, I would only put bb as second. In the end, all of From Software's games are amazing and we should all enjoy them without silly discussions about which game is better. Objectively, each new FS game improves and creates new mechanics, making better games, but they are all so good that any of them can be your favorite and let's hope that FS continues like this for a long time, giving us unforgettable experiences.
Impressive! The grading used in this video would lead to a more debatable environment were the games being judged by a group rather than an individual. Thankfully the only way that could occur here would be in the comments. Once again, the higher grading games are the usual ones: Sekiro, Elden Ring and tied for 3rd place, Bloodborne and Dark Souls III.
Elden ring is an ok game, just the base game was empty for me in terms of enemies, the game could be finished without the enemies noticing, which wouldn't happen in Dark souls, but the Fire golem DLC fixed that which I liked.
If it wasn't for bad enemy placement, I'd argue ds2 has some of the best level/world design. Couldn't care less about the iron keep being at the top of a windmill, the hate for that feels so forced
I think we should differentiate level visuals and level design. The levels were cool looking on the surface but just didn’t really make sense functionally. Tons of empty uninspired rooms, with doors that couldn’t even fit the enemies inside the rooms. No interconnectivity either.
Elden Ring is a good game, but not 'that' good. DS3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro all beat it out for me. It is hard to overstate how iconic Elden Ring is though, it's practically the face of fromsoft now, but it just doesn't compare to those other 3 I mentioned

@@vadimyakus i think the areas are very well done and there’s a really good amount of inter connectivity in the world also the lore is very good and weapons are good as well but bosses, loading screens, 30fps, annoying enemies, frenzy, chalice dungeons all bring it down by a lot. DS3 has good areas idk why people hate on them so much they literally js want something bad to say about the game. easily the best boss roster in the franchise, cool weapons while being the first game to have weapon arts, and the BEST boss lore in the series as well(gael,soul of cinder) it’s EASILY top 3 if not 2 above sekiro

I'm glad you pointed out how linear Bloodborne feels, despite the fact that only Dark Souls 3 gets dunked on for it. Frankly, I think Dark Souls 3 is less linear than Bloodborne, and definitely a lot longer, which makes rushing through it much harder.
DS3 is definitely more linear. The world design is practically a straight line with one or two branches in cathedral of the deep and smoldering lake. Bloodborne becomes a lot more open once you reach cathedral ward, with multiple paths opening up such as old yharnam, Hemwick charnel lane (which also leads to cainhurst), forbidden woods, upper cathedral ward, and lecture hall which leads to nightmare frontier.

Then, after killing Vordt, you can choose to tackle Cathedral of the Deep first, venture into the DLC early or head all the way to Catcacombs of Carthus and into Smoldering Lake, then double back for the doll, after which you can choose to take on Pontiff and Aldrich or descend into Irythill Dungeon and Profaned Capital. If you've gotten the gesture after beating Oceiros, you can even go to Archdragon Peak early. After that, you can choose to finish up the rest of Lothric Castle or the DLC, both of which contain multiple optional areas. In Bloodborne, the game usually goes Yharnam into Cathedral Ward into Forbidden Woods into Byrgenworth into Yhar'gul into Nightmare of Mergo, and it's all just one straight line. Dark Souls 3 at least forces you to double back if you want to complete earlier areas, but also gives you the freedom to explore the late-game areas much earlier. The closest Bloodborne gets to this is with the DLC, but Dark Souls 3 does the same thing with Ashes of Ariandel, while still maintaing the freedom to explore further into late game areas and challenge yourself. In Bloodborne, Cainhurst is locked until you break into Iosefka's clinic, well into the middlegame, and upper cathedral ward requires a specific key that you won't get Byrgenworth (if I remember correctly), meaning that you'll almost be done with the middlegame by the time you can access it. So honestly, for the freedom that Dark Souls 3 gives you in choosing your own path, I feel like it's just much less linear than Bloodborne. However, I will say that the actual levels themselves aren't as open as Bloodborne's, even though there are a few clever standouts that revolve around a single bonfire (like Lothric Castle) and shortcuts to signficantly shorten runbacks and reward exploration (like with Irythill).

Agreed. Ds1 is unmached in world building and lore. It goes so deep most people that call themselves lore enthusiasts don’t know the full depth of it. They watch a couple of Vaati videos and think thats the end of it.😂
No. DS2 does NOT have omni directional rolling. It has EIGHT directional rolling AND movement which is why most of the combat felt wonky as fck and why hit boxes (even at high agility) felt bad.

ER definitly a 10 out a 10. But not number one for me cause the bosses. It have like 500 bosses and only 3 are 10 out of 10. Two of this 3 came in the dlc.
I will say Demon's Souls atmosphere is a lot better if you play the original, the remake was nice for graphics but they butchered the atmosphere. Why they chose to change the best thing in the original while leaving the combat and bosses untouched is beyond me.
i agree with almost everything, i disagree with the lack of inter connectivity in bloodborne, , it has a lot of it, for me the level design is a 10 wereas Elden ring only get a 9 because of all the empty spaces in the dlc. for me bloodborne and ER both get 46/50.
The only real interconnectivity is the poison lake int iosefka’s clinic, the only other kind is when you get shortcuts but every game does that tho. But yeah ER isn’t too interconnected but again it’s a open world so…
@@Eldenpro469 you also have the hypogean gaol with yahar'gul and old yarnham. A lot of zones are connected to cathedral ward, and cathedral ward itself is composed of a few loops. I just love the world building and level design of the individual zones, for me it's a bit less good than the first half of ds1 but if you take the 2nd half, then for me bloodborne has the best level design of any fromsoft. But again, that is just my opinion. 😊

Both when opening the open world and also once you build that +5 somber weapon that can carry you to the final boss… or spend 15 minutes exploring Volcano Manor to get that +7 combined with Caelid to get a +10 without killing a single Demigod! By this logic, it is clear he hates Sekiro and loves Elden Ring. But what about DS2? The second most quantity over quality game? I find the lore in elden ring excessive and cluttered. Hot take, I know, but it makes the overall world feel small when you know everything about it as opposed to Dark Souls where you hear about certain places like Mirrah or Carim, but never see them. There's two types of high density lore: Cluttered and Detailed. I feel like Elden ring is leaning towards cluttered due to just how much there is. This wouldn't be a bad thing if it weren't presented like, "oh, hey! look! look! there's story and substance here! see? see?" This is coming from a guy who loves the lore of stuff and figuring it out a story, but Elden ring felt like an alphabet soup of random stuff that was all kinda cool, but nothing really stood out. It had all the classic, "Has-been hero did a crazy thing but is now aggressive towards you for one reason or another" and it just felt... bleh. before you comment a reply, I know, my opinion is wrong and Elden Ring is perfect. I'm glad you enjoy it, but for me, it was alright.

For me Sekiro is the 4th definitely. The world building and the lore pushes it back. Also weak RPG element.

The closest Bloodborne gets to this is with the DLC, but Dark Souls 3 does the same thing with Ashes of Ariandel, while still maintaing the freedom to explore further into late game areas and challenge yourself.
In Bloodborne, Cainhurst is locked until you break into Iosefka's clinic, well into the middlegame, and upper cathedral ward requires a specific key that you won't get Byrgenworth (if I remember correctly), meaning that you'll almost be done with the middlegame by the time you can access it. So honestly, for the freedom that Dark Souls 3 gives you in choosing your own path, I feel like it's just much less linear than Bloodborne.
However, I will say that the actual levels themselves aren't as open as Bloodborne's, even though there are a few clever standouts that revolve around a single bonfire (like Lothric Castle) and shortcuts to signficantly shorten runbacks and reward exploration (like with Irythill).

Agreed. Ds1 is unmached in world building and lore. It goes so deep most people that call themselves lore enthusiasts don’t know the full depth of it. They watch a couple of Vaati videos and think thats the end of it.😂
No. DS2 does NOT have omni directional rolling. It has EIGHT directional rolling AND movement which is why most of the combat felt wonky as fck and why hit boxes (even at high agility) felt bad.

ER definitly a 10 out a 10. But not number one for me cause the bosses. It have like 500 bosses and only 3 are 10 out of 10. Two of this 3 came in the dlc.

I will say Demon's Souls atmosphere is a lot better if you play the original, the remake was nice for graphics but they butchered the atmosphere. Why they chose to change the best thing in the original while leaving the combat and bosses untouched is beyond me.
i agree with almost everything, i disagree with the lack of inter connectivity in bloodborne, , it has a lot of it, for me the level design is a 10 wereas Elden ring only get a 9 because of all the empty spaces in the dlc. for me bloodborne and ER both get 46/50.
The only real interconnectivity is the poison lake int iosefka’s clinic, the only other kind is when you get shortcuts but every game does that tho. But yeah ER isn’t too interconnected but again it’s a open world so…
@@Eldenpro469 you also have the hypogean gaol with yahar'gul and old yarnham. A lot of zones are connected to cathedral ward, and cathedral ward itself is composed of a few loops. I just love the world building and level design of the individual zones, for me it's a bit less good than the first half of ds1 but if you take the 2nd half, then for me bloodborne has the best level design of any fromsoft. But again, that is just my opinion. 😊

I find the lore in elden ring excessive and cluttered. Hot take, I know, but it makes the overall world feel small when you know everything about it as opposed to Dark Souls where you hear about certain places like Mirrah or Carim, but never see them. There's two types of high density lore: Cluttered and Detailed. I feel like Elden ring is leaning towards cluttered due to just how much there is. This wouldn't be a bad thing if it weren't presented like, "oh, hey! look! look! there's story and substance here! see? see?" This is coming from a guy who loves the lore of stuff and figuring it out a story, but Elden ring felt like an alphabet soup of random stuff that was all kinda cool, but nothing really stood out. It had all the classic, "Has-been hero did a crazy thing but is now aggressive towards you for one reason or another" and it just felt... bleh. before you comment a reply, I know, my opinion is wrong and Elden Ring is perfect. I'm glad you enjoy it, but for me, it was alright.
